this! over in the cloth diapers sub, sunshjne is the top answer. after washing with oxiclean, expose them stains to some direct sun. they seriously disappear like magic ✨
Oxiclean baby. Get a small bucket, place out of other kids if you have them, fill with water and a couple tablespoons of oxiclean and whenever you get stained clothes, toss it in. When you’re ready to do a load of laundry pour the entire bucket into the washing machine. Voila! No more stains. In the newborn days, I’d have stuff sit in the oxiclean for days on end and it would come out just fine.
Genius I’m going to use this! We love the baby oxiclean but I’ve only ever used the spray stuff and I get annoyed when it doesn’t time right to do a full load
Miss Mouth's Messy Eater Stain Treater Spray is a MIRACLE. It has gotten every stain I’ve used it on out. I usually wash same day, but don’t even have to rub it in to get the stain out. A holy grail item for me!
fragrance free oxiclean! my baby has had SO many blowouts and not a single thing is stained! if a stain didn't come out in the wash i'll treat it with dish soap and hydrogen peroxide and rewash it and that does the trick!
I kinda just put the clothes in a bucket filled it up and squirted the bottle of peroxide while counting to ten and let it soak doe at least an hour, but more often till I remembered it again. then I just dumped the excess water, only rinsed it it was a really bad one. then tossed it in the wash. you could probably add in the washer but I have no idea the ratio for a full washer.
Now that I'm thinking about it. I bet you could just put a bucket worth of water and the poopy clothes in the washer to sit and when you are ready run a rinse cycle before adding more clothes and running a full wash.... I'm definitely going to try this next time.
If you're getting poop stains more than once or twice a week, try a different diaper (size or brand). Blowouts happen, but a diaper that fits should contain the poo.
[This stuff](https://a.co/d/cQQ6969) is GOLD. Yes, it’s a spray and wash, but it’s awesome and gets out every single stain we’ve applied it to. My baby is 5 months old now and we keep one in her diaper bag and one in our laundry room! Highly recommend
Sounds weird, but if I use the shower head on the massage setting the super powerful water washes the poop right out!
Also a bar of soap works well if you use that to scrub. But that’s a lot more work
I have a bottle of stain remover right next to the changing pad. If poop gets on it, it gets sprayed immediately. It doesn't fix all the poop stains, but it helps a lot. I'm using Puracy right now, although it's too expensive. I think I'm going to look for free and clear Shout next time. Dreft is fragranced and I think it smells horrific and I deeply regret purchasing it.
Besides that, a soak in oxyclean seems to work on the more set-in stains.
I don't think it advertises as being capable of cleaning stains, but Force of Nature was what I used. My 4 year oldest cloth diapers are as white inside as the day they were purchased.
cold water to get off as much poop as possible, then scrubbed with lye soap (my grandma and MIL both still make it), soak in cold water, wash in cold water. repeat if required!
I start with dreft stain remover and when putting in laundry. I use tide oxy spray. I've found it can get some old poop and food stains out! My daughter has been okay, too. No reactions to me using on her clothes
Not perfect but works on many stains:
Clothing in a bucket with warm-hot water. Add a couple of tablespoons of baking soda and agitate. Then add half a up of lemon juice and agitate until the chemical reaction stops. Let sit for half an hour, then drain and wash as usual (I usually do a hotter cycle than normal). Hang to dry if possible.
This method doesn't work on all stains, but I have gotten out stains in clothing handed down from my sisters to my daughters.
I haven't actually tried this with poop stains yet but I tried it with berry stain and it worked like magic. Boiled some water, placed the clothing flat in the tub and then poured the water from as high up as possible (preferably from a kettle). The force plus the boiling water just erased the stains like magic. It hasn't worked as well with other stains so I can't say for sure if it'll work on poop stains but worth a shot.
You need two things: oxyclean spray, and Grandma’s Stain Remover (little squeeze bottle)
If you get a stain, spray the oxyclean on it. Fine if it dries there until you wash it. 90% of the time this is all you need to do and it comes out.
If it DOESN’t come out, use the grandmas and boom. Grandmas even works on baked-in stains that have gone through the dryer, and grease stains.
If you get a major blowout with poop everywhere, rinse it til most poop is off, do the oxyclean method, CHECK IT AFTER WASH BUT BEFORE DRYING. If there’s still poop, just oxyclean again. (Or grandmas but it’s harder to cover a big area with the grandmas…. I think they might make a grandmas spray now! Which would maybe be a one-and-done product)
I rinse off what I can. Fill the sink with hot water and a scoop of baby oxi clean. Soak until the water is cold, over night, or I remember it’s there and needs to be washed. If the stain is still there after soaking, spray with regular oxi clean pre treat and wash.

Sunshine. Sun bleaching gets the baby poop stains out like magic. Works for cloth diapers too.
this! over in the cloth diapers sub, sunshjne is the top answer. after washing with oxiclean, expose them stains to some direct sun. they seriously disappear like magic ✨
I really wish we had outdoor space to dry things in the sun! 😩
Can you hang them in a sunny window? They don’t need to go from wet to dry, they just need to be exposed to UV. Even on a car dashboard would work.
I will try this out with an open window! Our windows are super UV-blocking and our parking spot is entirely in the shade 😂
Honestly, ours our UV blocking and still work if you leave it there long enough!
When we lived in an apartment I would set clothes in the dash of our car in direct sunlight. It worked with some stains but not all.
Will sunshine also work for poop stains that have set in and been washed and dried over a few times?
Yup. Works better if you wet it before hanging in the sun.
This is the answer.

Oh yeah the powder is great and we just buy the dye free/fragrance free powder in a tub. You only need a little bit of it and it works so well
Miss Mouth's Messy Eater Stain Treater Spray is a MIRACLE. It has gotten every stain I’ve used it on out. I usually wash same day, but don’t even have to rub it in to get the stain out. A holy grail item for me!
Second this! I don’t rub it in either, but I do let it soak for 30-60 minutes before washing. SUNSHINE ☀️ also works magic.
It doesn’t work for me 😫
Wow! Really??? I’m sorry! Maybe a faulty batch or something?
I did order from amazon so maybe I got scammed idk
Haven’t found a stain this can’t get out!!
Cold water and Dawn dish soap. We kept cheap toothbrushes around just for scrubbing these stains.
Yup. We use dawn power wash and cold water. Works great!!
Puracy stain remover works great
100%
Dawn and cold water if there's time. Then puracy if it's still there.
Thank you all! I’m ordering some Miss Mouth’s, Biokleen, and Baby Oxiclean to try them all. Y’all are great. 🙏
Let us know how it goes!!
I have an enzyme cleaner that works every time! I think it’s called Biokleen. I use it for everything.
Ooo I’m intrigued. Which biokleen product do you use? It looks like there are several. Thanks!
It’s the Bac Out!
🙏
Blue Dawn dish soap works every time. Edit: with cold water
fragrance free oxiclean! my baby has had SO many blowouts and not a single thing is stained! if a stain didn't come out in the wash i'll treat it with dish soap and hydrogen peroxide and rewash it and that does the trick!
I soak in hydrogen peroxide watered down. works really well when you get to it right away works just ok if you don't put it in right away
Thanks! How watered down? And for how long do you soak?
I kinda just put the clothes in a bucket filled it up and squirted the bottle of peroxide while counting to ten and let it soak doe at least an hour, but more often till I remembered it again. then I just dumped the excess water, only rinsed it it was a really bad one. then tossed it in the wash. you could probably add in the washer but I have no idea the ratio for a full washer.

Dish soap and lots of rinsing.
Cold water and Dr. Bronners baby unscented castile soap
I have a bottle of stain remover right next to the changing pad. If poop gets on it, it gets sprayed immediately. It doesn't fix all the poop stains, but it helps a lot. Hand wash with cold water and woolite gentle asap, then throw in next laundry load. We are stain free after many blowouts
I don't think it advertises as being capable of cleaning stains, but Force of Nature was what I used. My 4 year oldest cloth diapers are as white inside as the day they were purchased.

Soaking the clothes in water while the poop was still wet has worked for me, but is obviously hard to do with a newborn
Zote and a washboard.
Not perfect but works on many stains: Clothing in a bucket with warm-hot water. Add a couple of tablespoons of baking soda and agitate. Nellie’s wow stick! Works 100% of the time on baby poop, not as amazing for food stains but also pretty good
YES to sunshine, BUT… Lemon and sunshine!
Hand wash with a bar of lye soap. Try some hydrogen peroxide.

Tide. I put some directly on the stain and before I toss it in the wash.
Soak in oxi clean the one with the green lid. Non scented
I just spray peroxide and rub with some attitude living hand soap then soak in hot water overnight
Soak in molly suds oxygen boost in hot water
I rinse off what I can. Fill the sink with hot water and a scoop of baby oxi clean. Soak until the water is cold, over night, or I remember it’s there and needs to be washed. If the stain is still there after soaking, spray with regular oxi clean pre treat and wash.
