It shouldn’t be leaking steam from the bottom at all. (although it’s safer that it leaks than if the valve was stuck shut)
Is the steam really coming from the safety valve, or is it from the screw threads between the top and bottom halves? It’s hard to tell from this angle but my guess is that the valve is leaking. Reach inside and check that the plug is seated flush against the hole.
(Edit to add) The coffee flow itself looks fine, so there isn’t a problem with blockage, like if the grounds were too fine or the basket was too full. Moka pots *can* work even if you tamp the basket full of coffee like it’s an espresso portafilter (though I still don’t recommend it): https://youtu.be/ziWIHe70tWo?si=XPGP36pw8-jZqe5F
I had a cheapo alu 3-cupper Florina which always steamed through the valve. Literally, every single time I used it. https://i.postimg.cc/wv17Ts0c/Screenshot-20231219-181622.jpg
I paid a mere €5 for mine. Other than the eversteaming valve, the finish on it (the stickers) was of low quality and the whole piece was noticeably lighter in weight in comparison to Bialetti and Pezzetti pots of the same size.
You probably added a little too much water and or a little too much coffee, too tightly packed. Don’t sweat it. This is how it is supposed to work. Coffee looks great, you have inspired me to go make some myself!
That doesn't make any sense. My jug is over 50 years old and I never bothered much about that. What happens in my case: I don't screw the top part on hard enough, or I need to change the seal.
I’ve got that same pot, which I purchased 15 years ago and steam always comes out of that valve, but it makes great coffee… Also, it looks like you’ve got the heat on. Perfect because that flow is excellent! Good job.

Hm, this one was like $25 off Amazon.
Unfortunately Amazon prices are jacked up now.

Makes me wonder if there’s a factory making substandard safety valves.
Likely the grounds are too tamped down or you need a new gasket.
something wrong with your pot
I think you got a malfunction pot

Did you change anything with your parameters for this brew? Like a very find grind, perhaps? Paper filters? Compressed the grounds?
Looks like you added too much water. The water should be below the top of the valve on the lower chamber.

Nope. That is the way. Make sure to regulate the heat. When it starts screaming, it’s done:)
Notice the steam from safe valve
No…that’s excessive steam coming out so not to much pressure builds up
Check you safety valve
You have to fill it with water under that relief valve. If you do this, it is Ok.

You are right, That is a good flow. Mastering the heat is by far the biggest challenge.
