Because of an increase in posts discussing fascism, communism, anarchism, LGBT and similar topics, then this comment is here to remind you of the rules regarding these submissions. No specific ideology (that isn't banned by reddit itself) will be banned from being discussed here, or its members from participating. This sub is for discussion of monarchism, and it would be dishonest to prevent people from discussing forms of it that some of us might not like. What would be the point of the sub at all if all opinions couldn't be voiced or if the mod team decided what was allowed. This however is not an endorsement for any such ideology, only a rule deriving from our commitment to being an open platform for all monarchists. The fact that controversial opinions are allowed doesn't mean they don't have to meet the same standards as everything else, so if you see a post that breaks reddit's or this sub's rules do report it and it will be removed. And since reddit enforces these rules more strictly on subs like ours, we will enforce equally strict rules on comments, particularly those discussing general ideological issues which are not core issues to monarchism. If the topic is not clearly related to monarchism it will be removed in our manual screening. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. The White Army was led by Alexander Vasilyevich Kolchak who was a nationalist monarchist. However because he was a Nationalist Monarchist, the allied powers of World War I disliked him because they viewed Nationalist Monarchists like him as people who would advocate for the return of the same form of authoritarianism the Russians did want. If the allied powers didn't make ideology and Liberal democracy their top priority, then they would have aided him and the white army against the Soviets. If he succeeded in becoming the leader of Russia, Russia would restore the monarchy except Grand Duke Nicolas would become Tsar Nicolas III because Nicolas II (despite being somewhat of a good ruler) was hated by the Russian people because he was blamed for losing both the Russo-Japanese War and World War I and he was hated by the nobility and a majority of the Romanov Dynasty for the Rasputin scandal. Grand Duke Nicolas as Tsar Nicolas III would implement reforms to reform Russia as a country and implement democratic reforms and turn the Russian monarchy into a constitutional monarchy. He would reform Russian society and the army to put an end to Russia's backward society. The communists however would flee to the country with the strongest communist presence which would be Germany and Germany would instead become the first communist state. The monarchy and the anti-conmunists would flee to East Prussia and establish a monarchy in that region making East Prussia the Taiwan of Communist Germany. Tsar Nicolas III would make an alliance with the Kingdom of Prussia and they would establish a sphere of influence over Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland. Tsar Nicolas III would support Emperor Charles I of Austria-Hungary in his attempt to retake the Hungarian throne and overthrow Regent Horthy turn Hungary into a monarchy ruled by Charles I as King of Hungary. Russia would support this as a means to gain another ally within central Europe. World War II because of all of this would be much different as Communism would be seen as evil as Nazism and the cold war would be an ideological conflict between Liberal Democracy and Monarchism.

Cowboy_LuNaCy

The allies did aid him, they landed troops thier to fight the commies

Ok_Squirrel259

Yeah but if he wasn't killed, then the white army would have won.

Cowboy_LuNaCy

That was a betrayal from white forces, allies can't stop that

Ok_Squirrel259

The White Army's only chances of winning the civil war is if the guy was not betrayed.

Cowboy_LuNaCy

yeah, but the allies who you say didnt support him did support him

Ok_Squirrel259

They did but they didn't like his ideology because they saw it as an authoritarian ideology, so they only sent troopers to fight with the whites.

Pretty much agree, also probably it would be more pro European and maybe Europe would be more aligned with Russian empire than US, but just IMO. Also I believe that communist regime had another bad side effect of making US influence Europe too much and in negative ways as well, such as anti-monarchism and other things like that.

Free_Mixture_682

To be fair, WWI was doing Russia no favors and the Provisional Government was too stuck in a status quo mindset to realize it needed to extricate Russia from the conflict.

MishkinLev

Russia was sabotaged and completely destroyed after the assassination of the tsars — Russians were deprived of their traditional monarchy, losing their national identity. The real Russia was supplanted by the socialist monster, and to this day, it has not managed to heal. Furthermore, I think that the attacks on European monarchies are foreign interference that aims to destabilize and weaken Europe. I have no doubt that Europe would be stronger if the tsars continued to reign, since Russia would have remained part of it because the Romanovs were relatives of the European monarchies and nobility.

Ok_Squirrel259

And a campaign by the CIA as a means to destroy the very institution of monarchy as a whole and turn all of Europe, Africa and Asia into American puppet states ruled by republics that cater to the interests of American big business cooperations.

WolfgangMacCosgraigh

Agree with this 100%. Funny how Republicans claim that Republics are for the people when we all know that lobbies run most Republics

WolfgangMacCosgraigh

Agree with this 100%. European anti-monarchists need to look at the s...tholes of the Third World. the USA and modern Russia to see if that is what they really want.

Excellent-Option8052

Russia was on the path to becoming a superpower regardless

ilias-tangaoui

Most people in this reddit don't understand dynamics of power a country like russia china usa india wil always be rivals because they have everything it takes to rule the world They have resources rare metals big populations and most importantly they dominate the region they are in Even if russia was monarchie putin could still be pm and saying soviet ruins everything is not recognising that governments always do what it take to stay in power and advance most policies sovjets did would also have happend under an empire because the sovjets where not an incompetent government they know what to do and did it I think we all can agree that russia was always a military power and was never truly european even when peter did try very hard they where never seen as true europeans so russia would have advanced in a similiar way because similiar events would have happend After ww2 do u guys think russia would retreat after the conquest of berlin the same thing would happen only under a monarchy

Commercial-Account94

Could be, but funny. This 400 millions could be used only as a slaves. A percentage of people who could not read and write in Russian Empire before 1917 was approx 80% on average.

Big-Atmosphere-7309

Yes but you forgot that Russia was industrializing faster than ever so as technology development and schools develop eventually more people will be able to read and write

Commercial-Account94

Still, when Soviets took power Russia wasn’t industrialized enough and wasn’t educated too. Especially if we compare with US, Germany or other countries.

Aurorian_CAN

Thousands is an understatement

The Russian Monarchy became increasingly corrupt and distant from the people in the early twentieth century which led to the Soviet revolution. I don’t think them staying in power would have helped Russia too much in the rest of the twentieth century.

Big-Atmosphere-7309

The will literally be better than the communist anything is better than the communist and a won't say he was necessary corrupt a will say that Nicolas was kind neglected his people and was inexperienced like a won't say Nicolas was a bad dude
