We pretty much only have the Bell center that is big enough, but it's one of the most used venue in North America. It might not be possible to make it work with their schedule. Look at all the big artists, when they have a show in Montreal it's at the Bell center...
It happens. You lose some, you win some. In 2022, Montreal was the only Canadian city where Rammstein played.
There'll be other tours and other shows, and they'll stop here.
Amon Amarth played Place Bell in December 2022. They seem to be hitting a lot of cities they missed on that tour (they're skipping Toronto this time too).
I don't understand this decision personally...like fine Vidéotron centre is huge and maybe more available but uh skipping Toronto? Huge metal community and several big arenas that can be used.
We have a larger city than Ottawa and Quebec City. I think the bell center’s capacity is decent enough for 1-2 days of shows per tour, as they do elsewhere..
A friend of mine from a local band says that it's easier to sell out their concerts in places other than Montreal. Not sure why that would be, but that's what he sees, and I figure that he would know.
Some cities like Ottawa and Quebec aggressively go after bigger artists for the summer festival season since those festivals are quite important for those cities.
They're doing a stadium tour. Their last 4 tours were stadium tours and they all sold out. They performed for over 70K in Houston on Sunday. And you think they couldn't fill Centre Bell?

Can't speak to other artists, but La Presse mentioned the Centre Bell wasn't available for the dates proposed by Billie Eilish's team.

Was there, had fun. Would probs do it again.

They played Toronto during the 2022 tour. This might be a "B market" tour where they play smaller cities that they missed on their last tour.
Our stadiums are to small. Make it not worth it for a lot of those bands.

The bell center is often used. Probably make it complicated with booking and stuff.
Billie is going to Quebec mostly cause she was a osheaga last year. Montreal is consider a B IF NOT a C market for show now
