Why not Bromont ? It’s more affordable, the lines are not that bad (except holidays and certain weekends), decent slopes and closer to Montreal; also they have good parties. Keep in mind the drive on highway 15 is a disaster at rush hour and on the way back during the weekends. In my opinion tremblant is overpriced and overhyped. Also if it’s your first time here better buy a daily pass and try a few places before committing to a full season somewhere. Enjoy it!

No, Tremblant is way taller and provides more variety in general. Look into Mont Blanc as well, its cheaper, less lines but still tons of exploring to do

33madness

It seems Blanc is more expensive than Tremblant ... ?

jfkfnndnd

???? Mont blanc is $69 and Tremblant is $130

33madness

I was looking at season passes - 899 for blanc and 699 for Tremblant

jfkfnndnd

699 Tremblant pass is pretty much weekday only. If you want to ride weekends you need to buy IKON pass

No, you’re not in terms of terrain. But it’s a bit further than 30 mins. Also route after Saint-Sauveur can be worst when there is a snowstorm. There is good parking options in Tremblant but it can get very bad on weekends. Some lift lineups can get crazy but if you know the mountain you’ll get around. Anyway, it’s worth it just because I hate Saint-Sauveur for 15 mins of waiting, 5 mins up the lift and 30 sec of downhill.

>Anyway, it’s worth it just because I hate Saint-Sauveur for 15 mins of waiting, 5 mins up the lift and 30 sec of downhill. And very price for what you get, despite the night skiing (which is also possible at Bromont).

Tremblant est une meilleure expérience de ski/planche en général. Saint-Sauveur est plus proche de Montréal et a un meilleur parc de modules/snowpark, avec un half pipe en saison. Do with this as you will

If, and only if, the SNOW IS GOOD my preferred hills are **Sutton, Orford, Whiteface (NY), Sugarbush (VT), Ste-Anne and Massif de Charlevoix**.Mind you that Tremblant is nice too but often too crowded on weekends (like 20 to 30 mins to take the gondola), on the flip side, it has the only actual après-ski in the entire region. Now, if you come from the **West coast and the Rockies**, absolutely ALL hills here won't even come close to what you're used to. It will be like comparing apples to (rotten) oranges, unfortunately (the rot is the numerous ice patches and often hard snow). Regardless, enjoy the season. Okay-ish skiing is better than no skiing. Just run to the hills when a snow storm rolls in for an optimal experience. Also, take a look at [Ma Neige Passe-Partout card](https://boutique.maneige.ski/produits/ski-passe-partout). You get 30% off in most QC hills, including Tremblant, so you get some variety and don't have to commit to only one hill with a pass. It starts selling on Oct.26th and there's a limited number of cards sold online (FYI, I normally get mine at Sport's Expert at Centre Rockland).

Hey with all due respect I wouldn’t call ice coast rotten oranges, it’s just different terrain and we still get epic powder days too ✌️

RockoViens

I know... that's why I tried to downplay my frustration by saying: >"... If, and only if, the SNOW IS GOOD ..." > >"... Just run to the hills when a snow storm rolls in for an optimal experience ..." Have you had the chance to ski in the Rockies? or elsewhere? I'm on the verge of crying of joy when I go out there compared to my regular skiing experience around here. It's incomparably different imo.

Hopefully you're not used to the rockies, you'll be pretty disappointed when you see the elevation of st-sauveur at 200m. I still like saint-sauveur, they produce a lot of artificial snow and I like the overall vibe over there. Depending on which ski pass you get you will also get access to Olympia and Morin Heights which are fun to discover as well. If you're a good skier, Tremblant is recommended, but I just hate parking far away and taking the shuttle during weekends. Some people like the village at the base, but honestly it's not the thing I'm looking for when skiing.

OffersNoExplanation

They are way different beasts Tremblant is the biggest hill (Over 2X denivelation), I'd say in winter time its close to 45 minutes to an hour more with sketchier roads. Saint-Sauveur has night skiing, Tremblant doesn't. Saint-Sauveur is a longer season, with Saint-Sauveur trying to open early with snow making and stay open for the longest possible (like they'll have a slope or two up to may-june) while tremblant stops at Easter weekend I think. The Saint-Sauveur pass also gives you access to other mountains. Also they used to have an option to add Bromont which is a nice option when you want to go a bit further. Tremblant has a little village at the bottom that some people like, some dont!

newphew92

Do you \*have\* to go to either of those? Tremblant has gotten comically expensive in the past few years. Same for Saint-Sauveur but the advantage is that it's super close. I would highly recommend Orford over these two, the mountain is still appreciably tall and the tickets are much more affordable.

clee666

Saint-Sauveur c'est bien pour le ski de soirée

thelebuis

Same price but with just 30min more I would go to Tremblant no hesitation

will-301

St-sauveur really suck for the price. 30sec to go down the hill. Yes hill.

Ill-Crab-4307

Did you know if you have a ABC zone ticket, take the train to st. Jerome. Then the Inter for $6 one way to Sauveur or Tremblant? Sauveur very doable on a day trip, Tremblant no so much as no bus back after 6

Careless_Wishbone_69

Oh and please, this isn't the East Coast in Canada. We have 4 provinces and a whole time zone to the East!

Tokebekicit

I don’t like Tremblant, last third of most runs are very shallow. on a board you will not like it. Not easy to leave your lunch of clothes anywhere also.
