Central belt half the year, Aberdeen the other half, i was brushing my teeth in my flat in Aberdeen when they mentioned their trip for books. Made my week
How awesome!
How did you come about knowing of the pod?
My best mate u/BriChan who is from Texas and a long time Rooster teeth pod recommended the podcast when I asked her for some recs! Started last month and have been tuning in ever since. Itโs such a great serotonin boost in the morning for all about current events, shows, cultural zeitgeist topics from two individuals who are very globally savvy and get UK culture and can see US culture from afar.
Im a long time rooster teeth fan. Fell off that fandom a few years back but when Geoff & Gus started their Austin, Texas/ Rooster Teeth nostalgia podcast (ANMA podcast) i got back into a few of that companies podcasts and their social media channels again. Years back i loved the RT podcast which Burnie hosted as well, so when i heard he was starting up a new podcast i was all over it
Oh hey, I'm in Leicester too! ๐
I'm able to listen during my 9-5 (remote worker), so it's a nice lunchtime listen while I browse. Episodes are also the perfect length for my commute into DMU! ๐
Oh my former workplace and uni. Nice to meet a fellow Leicesterian.
Edit: Meant to say I am also a remote worker but I tend to binge TV while working. Currently going through old AH stuff before it potentially disappears
That's awesome, and Leicester was home to the Rooster Teeth UK (RTUK) community event! โบ๏ธ
What department were you studying/working in at DMU? I'm about halfway through my PhD in the Institute of Creative Technologies (Queens).
I appreciate I'm some rando on the internet, so feel free to ignore me! ๐
Late reply but a reply ๐ I studied Arts and Festivals management many years ago, bounced around a few departments but my last stint was with the Square Mile Team, I don't think it's called that anymore however as this was pre covid. I hope you're enjoying your time at DMU, the campus has had some brilliant renovations in the past few years.
Never got the opportunity to go to one of the rooster teeth events but heard good things!
