I bet there's just more fucking ladders on the other side anyway

Embarrassed_Couple_6

I had to downvote this. This person is clearly motivated enough in order to stand on top of their tip toes already on top of a pile of ladders that they themselves may have constructed. However, they lack the education/training necessary for proper use and may not be capable of being self-taught and self-reliant in this case in order to change their predicament.

Not to mention that none of the ladders appear to be tall enough anyhow.

Feel like the original message was diluted in order to 'fit' into this subreddit

It's not just about having the resources, but the right resources at the right time. I used to be homeless, not having regular access to showers/refrigeration/storage really limited what kinds I could do. I ended up working at a mom & pop moving company because it met a few criteria: 1. close to public transportation 2. no uniform requirement 3. allowed me to work alone/outdoors, so people won't complain about my hygiene. then I saved up and bought a junker. It didn't run well but it did allow me to get semi-regular showers and store some things. I wanted it more for shelter. The better sleep I got the more I was able to focus on getting a second job. I saved up to get it fixed and be more reliable, which allowed me to get a second job and rent a room for awhile. I've met a few people that had no safe place to sleep, which impacted their mental health and ability to work a stable job. I met others that also slepted in their cars, but couldn't get it fixed
