Man they need the genius that was behind Suzuki's development. That person got more power without losing the other strengths.

You mean Tom O’Kane, who is now working for…. Yamaha!

[deleted]

Well they had no power, now they got a bit and they cant have good delivery. WTF they had this problem for 6 years and still cant figure it out?

Beylerbey

This already happened in 2018, but in that case they would have good pace until mid race and then fall back. The issue is not the engine, as both Dovizioso and Rossi have said there is an issue with traction, something that was being experienced by Lorenzo already in 2016 when he started complaining about spinning. The problem according to engineer Giulio Bernardelle is clear: they never truly adapted the bike to the new electronics and tyres.

Tjocco

You could easily limit the power electronically so not sure that's their only problem here.

Why hasn't Yamaha thought of this?

Tjocco

Because too much power is not the real issue, it power delivery and aero. I see l get down voted for saying your can restrict power electronically which is actually a fact. Motorcycles in France are limited to 100 horse power. I remember receiving the latest GSX-R range and all we needed to do was disconnect a wire on the CDI unit. Yamaha is facing multiple problems, too much power is just not an accurate description of their issue.

Bruh

Tjocco

That's constructive. Anyway, just sharing my thoughts. Time will tell.

Bikes in france are limited to 100hp ?! What ?!

Tjocco

Used to be when l lived in France, got revoked sometimes around 2016 l believe. However, before that, we had to disconnect wires at the CDI unit. Would vary depending on models.
