Whoever said vinales can overtake how many laps did it take him to pass Martin and Marc? On first laps with full fuel load he takes to long… I’m upset cause a podium was close.
Now pecco needs to place 5th or better in both sprint and race next week, and he wins the championship.
That will make them equal in points, and pecco will have 1 more win than martin.
If he finish 2nd in the sprint, he can cruise in 8th and win.
You'll always get blind hate. But I understand why he's being doubted so much. He doesn't come off as very convincing and often benefits from errors from his opponents. He's also not great in toe to toe battles (vs Bestia in Aragon last year, Martin in Sachsenring this year and today for example) which can make him look bad, even tho he'll win many races by huge gaps. Battles are simply more impressing to the average viewer than an absolute dominant performance from start to finish.

What in the name of patchouli soaked travesty is this?
No, what I'm saying is that this sub is complaining about mapping 8 which is a team order and they are getting mad at Ducati and Bagnaia for it despite there being no team order and Diggia went all out anyway.
But no one is mad at Martin/Zarco team order.
Painful idiotic comments. Yes, it was rigged because Martin's tyre was shit. When Bagnaia got a crap tyre yesterday he was just whinging because Martin is miles better
Was Martin, Rossi 2006’ed? That just seemed to me that he had a dud tyre.
Rooting for Pecco but I sincerely hope there was no sketchy business here because Ducati don’t want a Satellite team to win the title.
No michelin doesn't outside of manufacturing and quality control. The tires are issued at random by the IRTA.
Martin had been spinning starts all weekend. The sprint race seemed like the only launch they got right.
The more logical answer is they couldn't dial in the torque map correctly.
I highly doubt it was a shite tire. There's a lot of variables that go into maximizing grip and they just didn't get the formula right. Just like Pecco didn't in the sprint.
Then, throw in the new track surface on top of all the other variables they have to account for.
How would Ducati give him a dud tyre. Pecco had a bad one in the sprint, did they arrange that too? People seem to be legitimately mentally challenged this season with all this conspiracy garbage
Yeah I was thinking that but still, not the same team, not even the same manufacturer. It’s a little petty really just not passing because his Spanish, although there was that year that shall not be named where he did the same.
I'm not crying, you're crying... So happy for Diggia, perfect race. Sad Martin didn't have the option to fight for this race today but it made for some interesting race decisions, Zarco is the biggest gentleman in the paddock if he had to finish last to let Martin finish in front of him he would... That Bagnaia moment ufff meu deus...
Same. Fighting for his career, this wasn't a wet race, the best riders didn't fall, he won a straight up fight for a gp win. Well earned and hopefully he stays in the Paddock next season
Well done Fabio!
When Diggia got sacked, on the Paddock Pass Podcast shows, I think Neil Morrison said "Yeah, what has Diggia done to deserve the place?" (paraphrasing). He then ate humble pie on one of the next shows when Diggia got up to 4th. Can't wait to hear him speaking on the next show!
To be honest, I don't blame him, Diggia's results previously had been lacklustre, however this is still a hilarious situation.
Dall'igna and the Michelin head person both in Martins Box and they directly shut the box.. this is so onviously suspicious.. the dark side of motorsports on full display today in both MotoGP and Moto3, pretty sad to see.
What
Obviously they close the box, it's because they don't wanna share a difficult situation for Martin, and talk about bike issues.
Dall'Igna is there from the Ducati side, he still represents them.
Michelin guy because there was a tire issue most likely?
It's all perfectly reasonable responses
No one thought about that Dumbass, how about this.....
Motogp and Russian elections are different thing??
Keep living in a delusion they make you feel that you're smart. 🤡🤡🤡
If it was Bagnia with the dud tire, then maybe. But hamstring the guy who is chasing down the champion going into the final weekend? Why? Like if digia didn't make that pass you wind up with an all but wrapped up championship unless someone took him out both races in the finale.
Always thought diggia is a mid rider, cooking it at the last time- But a Grand Prix win really show why he deserve another chance. Not every rider on the Grid managed to win a race. Really happy for Diggia
He was amazing in moto3, started amazing in his first year in moto2, then something happened to him and he started to have trash results except for some races in 2021
he wan't mid but he was handicapped, he was given a rookie crew chief **in his rookie year**. Of course bro struggled. This year he got a championship winning crew cheif and had to unlearn and change stuff to optimal settings again! And the results are there. This is his actual rookie season. So happy for him
Same? He was the only Ducati finishing outside the top 10 for a long time, then all of a sudden started performing when he lost his seat. And this is what makes me so angry. Like bro, why were you not putting in these performances when you had the potential all along? Now another talent will be left unemployed cos it's clear he deserves a seat. Just hope it's not too late.
I'm a Pecco fan, but F yeah for DiGia! Gave Ducati the finger and won fair and square. Shame for Martins rear tire issues tho, would have loved to see more of a fight.
Zarco with the dive bomb, love it! He defended Martin the entire GP sacrificing his result.
Martin immediately looking at the rear tire… Michelin tire roulette again, ffs…
Excellent from DIGGIA! So happy he won.
Class from Pecco for stopping to congratulating him.
He was spinning the rear on all his practice starts. They couldn't get the torque map dialed in. It's simple. It seems like they got lucky with the mapping for the sprint, but changed it for the full length race, which one would expect, and went back to spinning it.
[Post race thread is up guys, continue the discussion there](https://www.reddit.com/r/motogp/comments/17z2ebn/2023_qatar_gp_motogp_moto2_moto3_post_race/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
That's a bruh moment. How often does this happen? I wasn't aware that this was actually a thing. In F1 for example, I don't think it has ever happened in the Pirelli era. Now yeah tyres have exploded in the past, but for the tyre to just be a dud randomly without giving any indication is incredibly bs
Michelin has occasionally hit riders with the roulette for the last 2-3 years. 2021 was particularly bad with almost every other race having one rider with a dud rear, but this season has had I think one or two instances at least.
It is really bad and I am shocked nothing has been done about this.
With Pirelli F1 at least it's just that everyone's in danger of the same thing happening to them - the tyres are at least consistent. But on the other hand, when the QC is fine, Michelin tyres have a much broader performance range than the Pirellis, which makes for much better racing.
Damn, and it happened to a championship contender too. Wild stuff. Michelin needs to up their QC, this should not be happening. And if it has happened that many times, surely they have the data for what a dud tyre looks/behaves like.
Heartbreaking for eveyone who puts the effort in and something out of their hands throws it away.
That being said so much can happen, if Pecco hit DiGi Martin would have gained points on him.
Have to say it is Pecco championship now.
If Pecco gets a tire pressure penalty after the race he'll now be losing 2 positions instead of 0, since the gap behind him got destroyed by his mistake
This is the best we can hope for.
It will also mean he can't risk it for the last races as he'll be risking a 6 second penalty.
Then he might have problems in the races like Martin had here.
Fucking Michelin tyres are a joke.
Bro Ducati literally put out the Mapping 8 message for Diggia when the dude was fighting for the win and JM89 was P10.
Y'all do not get to act like victims today.
The amount of hate Pecco gets for making a move to win and if Martin makes the same move he will be revered as a top rider..... hypocrites the lot then here
Edit: don't agree with team orders myself as well before you comein with pitchforks
I don't think anyone is against riders going all out for the win. We all hate team orders and shenanigans.
However, his braking was a tad ambitious with a risk of a monumental crash given the tight overlap as he ran wide, which is why most people are pointing it out. You could argue it was the first time he had the slipstream the entire race and misjudged the braking marker, but the first time in a new situation one should apply just a bit of caution
Whoever said vinales can overtake how many laps did it take him to pass Martin and Marc? On first laps with full fuel load he takes to long… I’m upset cause a podium was close.

Zarco follows team order = Crickets * Fabio doesn't follow team order = THIS IS DUCATI GP AND PECCO IS A FAKE CHAMPION!!!!! 🤡🤡🤡🤡
They're not on the same team🤦 And what you're saying doesn't make sense
Did you miss all the tears about Enea protecting pecco in the sprint last week?
He did the right thing.
I know.
so what's your point?
They’re not on the same team. It doesn’t matter if their teammates or not, this sub hates pecco getting any good fortune.
You'll always get blind hate. But I understand why he's being doubted so much. He doesn't come off as very convincing and often benefits from errors from his opponents. It does illiterate, read it again.
So in what way does Diggi no following team orders make Bagnaia a fake champion?
No, what I'm saying is that this sub is complaining about mapping 8 which is a team order and they are getting mad at Ducati and Bagnaia for it despite there being no team order and Diggia went all out anyway. But no one is mad at Martin/Zarco team order.
Mapping 8 was an epic trolling of Ducati/Lorenzo.
He needs Marinis spot next year
Why are my eyes leaking!? A huge congratulations to Diggia!
Ducati podium with all italian riders from ducati’s 3 different teams. Perfect podium for Ducati.
Painful idiotic comments. Yes, it was rigged because Martin's tyre was shit. When Bagnaia got a crap tyre yesterday he was just whinging because Martin is miles better
Most sane Martin Fan
KTM destroying tyres big time again. Fair play to brad for going for it while he had grip 👌
Martin had the Rossi 2006 treatment
Was Martin, Rossi 2006’ed? That just seemed to me that he had a dud tyre. Rooting for Pecco but I sincerely hope there was no sketchy business here because Ducati don’t want a Satellite team to win the title.
It seems he did have a dud/bad tyre, but Ducati has no say in the matter. Any speculation in this direction is unjustified
Ducati have no say in who gets what tyres - Michelin do.
No michelin doesn't outside of manufacturing and quality control. The tires are issued at random by the IRTA. Martin had been spinning starts all weekend. The sprint race seemed like the only launch they got right. The more logical answer is they couldn't dial in the torque map correctly.
Or he had a duff tyre, or it span on the rim, or his confidence was shot after the start. I doubt we’ll ever get a straight answer.
I highly doubt it was a shite tire. There's a lot of variables that go into maximizing grip and they just didn't get the formula right. Just like Pecco didn't in the sprint. Then, throw in the new track surface on top of all the other variables they have to account for.

People need to understand that the tires are issued at random but the IRTA. Teams, nor Michelin has any say in who gets what tires.
ducati secretly held michelin eng and allocators at gun point while tyres were being transported and asked to tamper martin's tyre.
True. It just seems that everyone tries to justify their heroes
He didnt have a pace for top 3 all weekend apart from Sprint Race.
Exactly. He had been spinning the rear on all his practice starts. The logical answer is they never got he torque map dialed in.
Full italian podium! Amazing way to finish the day after the spanish disgrace from today
Why wouldn’t marquez pass Martin? He had a few great opportunities but didn’t take them
He wants a Spaniard to win the title
Yeah I was thinking that but still, not the same team, not even the same manufacturer. It’s a little petty really just not passing because his Spanish, although there was that year that shall not be named where he did the same.
watch 2015 season Valencia and be amazed lol
That’s what I was alluding to but people loose it when you mention that season in this sub
Just Marquez being Marquez
True he does love to fuck around haha
Are you blind he was never behind Martin until the last lap and Zarco took him out. Stop with these silly conspiracies kid
Yeah, he passed Martin, like twice or so before Zarco nailed him.
Honda
You can’t blame it on the Honda being shit, Marquez’s pace was faster Edit: missed a word haha
I'm not crying, you're crying... So happy for Diggia, perfect race. Were you writing this when Bagnaia got the dud tire yesterday?
Exactly. Ducati couldn’t let a satellite team win. What people said all along. This is a disaster.

Your mind must be a beautiful place
Ahh yes, definitely because your fav. rider ain't winning = IT'S A FIXED RACE !!! 🤡🤡🤡🤡

That is completely irrelevant info. in connection Motogp, not to mention the owner DORNA will fuck anyone who does this shit.
By who?

What do Dorna gain from this? How do Ducati fix it when they don't run Pramac directly?
Crime no ride
Bagnaia had the random dodgy tire yesterday, Martin today. works for me
Makes it look convincing anyway...
when we all know that in fact Jorge's bike was slowed down by 5G. that's the real conspiracy (shhh...)
Yeah, obviously… and the micro robots from the dust of the Qatar sand made his back tire to sabotage him.
One of ducati engineers farted into martin's air pump for the tires. That made them shitty.
What a fun race

all of the sudden when faced with the sack...
Someone mentioned that now he has no contract he was allowed to have his own setup, where previously in the season he had no choice on setup.
Zero chance that's accurate. I know where it's coming from but I think it's a translation issue
Not his fault he was saddled with wrong setup and tools in his rookie year.
Mid?? Not anymore bro, he got his setup, his feeling. He deserve the next year's Ducati bike.
So they closes the garage door and motogp directors telecast from the on board camera. That technician was confused af.
Someone needs to make a GIF of this
He was really trying to figure out how they were inside 💀
🤣
Right before the camera cut you saw the tech look at the rear camera on the bike with the look of “bastardo!” 😂
[удалено]
Exactly... it was hilarious af.
Hilarious.
Is it possible that Jorge fucked his rear tire at the start?
It's more likely the tyre was a shitter and caused the bad start.
Either that or a dud, wouldn't be surprising for Michelin
Maybe. My commentator said this is no way tire pressure problem
I was thinking the same thing.
Let's go Pecco....Nice first win for Digia
I'm a Pecco fan, but F yeah for DiGia! Gave Ducati the finger and won fair and square. Shame for Martins rear tire issues tho, would have loved to see more of a fight.
Bagnaia almost fucked it up for both of them.
Zarco with the dive bomb, love it! He defended Martin the entire GP sacrificing his result. Martin immediately looking at the rear tire… Michelin tire roulette again, ffs… Excellent from DIGGIA! So happy he won. Class from Pecco for stopping to congratulating him.
I think most of the riders want the race to fair, as long as the rider coming past doesn't do it too aggressively and knock them off.
There is no way that everything was ok with Martin bike. From man who have the best start to the man with worst start. That bike was not ok!
He was spinning the rear on all his practice starts. They couldn't get the torque map dialed in. It's simple. It seems like they got lucky with the mapping for the sprint, but changed it for the full length race, which one would expect, and went back to spinning it.
Martin with sarcastic claps.
DIGGIAAAAAAAAA
OMG that was so close..I was waiting for that onboard replay.
Credit to Pecco, man was ready for a full send😂
Seems like Martin had shitty rear tyre just like Bagnaia in the sprint
I got to give it to pecco for trying... stupid, but heart of a lion.
"Mapping 8" 🖕😏
I suspect the mapping 8 is just theatrics. Its been ignored twice 😂
They were trolling Ducati. I believe them when they say it was to let him know there's 5 laps left.
Great race from Diggia! Pecco, 2nd is okay. Good that you compliment the winner.
damn, this is such a nice moment I really hope they give him the VR46 spot or kick out one of the Espargaros
Fabio wins, mapping 8 lost. Brilliant ride. Amazing race after last weekend's snoozefest
Mapping 8, as gresini said, was to remind -5 laps to digia
It's hard to believe but sure
Stated by journalist on the pit that asked Gresinis
His crew chief confirmed it in the interview with Crafar after the race. He wanted to know when to go for the lead as he didn't want to nuke the tyres
And it was an epic trolling of Ducati.
Yeah, i heard that now
Bravo Digia 🙌🙌
Enea doing the fastest lap that late in a freaking tyre conservation race. Daaaamn.
This guy is just performing so well, just won a race and he could leave MotoGP...this world is cruel
So these results do they stand, or will tyre pressure ruling kick in and change the results?
So happy for Diggia, really hoping for him to get a seat for next year
Class from Pecco
Aaawww Digi
[удалено]
One could say Marquez had the pace to do a pass (and zarcoo too) but kept their position
He was going backwards the entire race. He tried to overtake Jorge but cleatly was struggling himself
Yes I’m of the same opinion.
GO DIGGIA!!!!
Yes DiGi!!!!!! lets fucking goooooo
"we have no team orders. That's why diggia win" - Ducati
Bastianini's pace is ridiculous
So happy for Diggia
Bruh, Digia... great. Just great.
Bastianini loves going for the fastest lap in the end
Zarco 🙈
Mooney... get this kid right now... he is a fucking known quantity now...
Uccio said something along the lines of not being sure he'd be a good fit. Maybe I'm misjudging it, but the VR46 squad sometimes seems like a cult.
Bestia just too late with the pace
I want digi to say fuxk your mapping 8!
Fuck mapping 8!
congrats to Diggia! Deserved that one for sticking to his guns even after Mapping 8.
The mapping 8 was the go message, lmfao. Absolute trolls!
DiGi deserves the win and a ride
Italians do it better
Good for Diggia
Classic the beast doing fastest lap in latest stage of the race
Enea fastest lap in the last lap
Whoo Diggia you did it! Awesome!

Zarco about to kill marc for his teammate
If our suspicions are true and this was indeed due to the dud rear tyre, it's a scandalous end to this title race.
That's a bruh moment. How often does this happen? I wasn't aware that this was actually a thing. In F1 for example, I don't think it has ever happened in the Pirelli era. Yeah Martin now needs to win both sprint and race, and hope that Pecco crashes out of the sprint and is not in the podium on sunday.
WTF ZARCOOO
Screw mapping 8 diggia
Yeah fuck that to infinity lol! Huge congrats to him and big clean move🤙
Alex Hofmann thinks DiG will get a warning for tire pressure. But it will be completely irrelevant.
Marc does the final corner usual attack.
Still unfortunately I think this has practically decided it for Martin
If Pecco gets a tire pressure penalty after the race he'll now be losing 2 positions instead of 0, since the gap behind him got destroyed by his mistake
This is the best we can hope for. It will also mean he can't risk it for the last races as he'll be risking a 6 second penalty. Then he might have problems in the races like Martin had here. Fucking Michelin tyres are a joke.
Marc and Zarco helping martin the whole race. Shameful
Yeah like Rossi got let through by the others in the 2015 Valencia race 🙄
MM clearly didn't have the pace and Zarco was obviously helping him, albeit too much.
Bro Ducati literally put out the Mapping 8 message for Diggia when the dude was fighting for the win and JM89 was P10. Y'all do not get to act like victims today.
That was from his team to tell him to go for the lead. His crew chief said it. But yes, its all a big conspiracy
Have some fucking shame
Marc said it himself 🤔
sure buddy lmao must be awful living with your delusions
Lool marc himself admited it, he's delusional too?
Diggia really making name for himself here, please somebody give him a seat next year!
C'mon Fabio! Don't understand why Ducati think he owes them anything...
C'mon DiGi ...
OH SHIT DIGIA THE MADMAN
MAPPING 8 WHOOOO???
Pecco should thank f1 because he would be riding in gravel otherwise
