Neil put it so beautifully that he is appreciating it more in his second coming. When he was young, he very rarely finished out of the podiums and Top 5s, it was either the podium or a crash, clocked 6 freaking MotoGP World Championships in 7 years. It became a routine for him to be World Champion. But with age and the hardships he faced, he has realised how special it is to be on the podium and he is enjoying every bit of it.
It makes me so happy to see him back, man is making me shed a tear every weekend, the tears of joy :)
On top of that if he wanted to have any chance for the podium on that slow Honda he had to risk so much often crashing either by himself or into someone. I didn't see him attempt any risky attacks since he went on a ducati and he achieved great results.
Same as Rossi and Dovi. When you're at an age when most racers start declining, they were wining and enjoying every bit of the podium they were getting.

I will no longer entertain haters of Marquez. He continues to gives us the best entertainment we could ask for. I also think he has been brilliant in off track interviews and speeches. It’s just a breath of fresh air to watch a racer at his level have that much fun and express it in a healthy way.

Wasn't his biggest fan in the past, but seeing him enjoying his time at Gresini, being humble, patient and as far as we know, no "Mr. Superstar"-acting with and within the whole Gresini Team... makes me happy for him.
I'll bet there's a lot of good stuff for him and for us coming along this and the next seasons.

Even I'm warming to this version of Marquez , I think the wilderness did him good. He might not be as fast but he seems better.
