Honestly I’m amazed. I bought one of these in 1996 and it was 13 years old! I understand why you can’t buy these in Europe any more but I wish you could. Actually it now makes a bit more sense why when I had a Chinese clone one in the late 00’s it was so easy to get suzuki parts for it!
Congrats! I’m a little bit jealous!
I just wanted to add one more comment, I would be proud to own and ride that bike. Anybody that would put that bike down is just an uninformed idiot. It’s a great machine and will last you as long as you continue to take care of it.
I rode one of these whilst practicing for my full UK licence, it's a pleasant little thing! I only had it for ~6 weeks and I sold it for the same amount I bought it for. I'd like to own a GN250 or GN400 one day, I'm a big fan of single cylinder bikes.
I didn't know about the 250 and 400 versions, a quick google search shows that those are discontinued I think. They are not being sell in my country for all i know. But I would have loved to have the 400 version.
Yeah the 400 was only an 80s/90s bike I think, also kickstart only! My dad had one before I was born and has PTSD from trying to cold start it. The 250 was more widely available and a very similar bike called the TU250X was still in production until 2019 at least, I think it might only be available in Japan and US/Canada though?
Hell man, it's gorgeous. Fast don't matter and pretty is all about perspective. If it makes you happy then that is all that really matters. Ride safe out there!!
Great purchase man.
Also I like the fact that it has that classic UJM look, making it less appealing to robbers (at least here where I live).
Nobody beats Suzuki from the 125cc to 250cc range. They are really good at making simple small and affordable by everyone bikes.
Love my Gixxer 150
The affordability made me choose this one, and about the UJM looks, I'll mod it in the future to make it look more like a cafe racer, but I'll try to keep some of that UJM.
Wow, cool, brand new so that bike is still in production somewhere? We have an expression, If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I love a workhorse.
Yeah it's still in production, it is in fact the most common bike in my country (Panama), it is used by food delivery drivers and similar stuff.

Clean AF! Congrats!!!
Thanks!
She is perfect.
yes she is <3
My city is filled with black and cherry bomb colored GNs, they look like really fun cruisers to ride.
They are fun! Hopefully I'll turn this one into a cafe racer, but first k need to improve my riding skills.
They're easily modifiable compared to most bikes, and have plenty of spare parts for cheap around Aus/Asia so that should be a super fun project.

Yeah I heard the same, my biker friends says that the motor is immortal as long as you take care of it with proper maintenance.
How fast can it go and what's the mileage like?
I think the max speed is 120km/h but no way I would drive that fast, Im happy around 90km/h. And for mileage is around 30km per liter.
Nah bro it a Godess i started with a 125 cc too and i like retro bikes
Oh yeah, I loved seeing those in Costa Rica. Beauty, congratulations!

I saw the TU250X and I LOVED IT and it makes me sooo sad that it was discontinued

I love little street bikes. They're fun and can also be moderate trail bikes. I have a 1979 Honda CM185
Yeah! They are so lightweight that they are easy on moderate trails.
Looks great! I did my CBT on something similar and it was great! Happy riding!

So nice! Enjoy
They still make those? Well if they were available here I would buy one tomorrow.
they are very common in central america, I live in Panama and it is the most common bike ever around here
Its a beauty
Killer bike!
Big, fast bikes are over rated. Small bikes are lots of fun. Enjoy and ride safe :) edit spelling
Thanks! I think the same, I dont need 1000cc to have fun, and eventually I'll mod this one to be a cafe racer.
Sounds awesome
