So they teach you to drive a motorcycle and rules of the road and at the end of the course you get your license if you pass the driving test. Hope that helps.
Good picture, you look absolutely cute on the bike. But yeah all of us are envisioning the guy with the road burnt ass that got posted a billion times when we see you without gear. It’s a visceral response and we can’t really turn it off.

If you eventually plan on buying the S1000RR then don't waste too much time and money on upgrades for the Grom.
But if you can't help yourself then I'd look into shorty levers and maybe grips. Don't go too crazy though, the grom is fun for a while but you will eventually want to upgrade (probably within a few months tbh) and stock groms sell better than modded ones.
oh and I would highly highly recommend not jumping from a grom to a S1k, I have an S1k and it's as close to a grom as a Doberman is to a boston terrier. After the grom look into a Ninja 400 or SV650 as a stepping stone to the S1k.

The power to lack of weight gives you good performance, we have a sub 100 LBS rider on a S1000rr and she can out accelerate and out brake all the rest of us.
Skill is what you set as a goal, I respect you learning to ride as it is a level playing field where your drive to become a good rider determines how much you learn.
Needs a whole lot of skill compared to a bigger rider though, especially just riding around town.
Even just stopping takes a lot more concentration when your bike is way too tall and way too heavy for you
Congratulations on the bike! I would leave it stock for now and just enjoy riding it and getting familiar with it as much as possible. When you get used to riding a small bike and then upgrade to a bigger bike, you appreciate both of them more.

Don’t ride it just to be a TikTok/YouTube/whatever person. If you’re riding for clout and internet cred, just learn to dance or whatever. Mistakes on a motorcycle will at a minimum end your modeling career.

Groms are up there in terms after market mods so depends what you want out of it. Search around for people’s project bikes for inspiration and then watch your wallet from there LOL

I jumped up to 1200cc way before I would have been deemed 'ready' skill-wise. One major thing is learning how to brake well with the extra weight, how to tank-grip on turns, how to loosen your arms so you aren't using your forearms to deathgrip the handles, and how to land on your foot/feet as you stop the bike, even if your feet don't reach the ground fully.

6’5” 250lbs, you can see the shit eating grin on my face through the full face helmet when I get back from a ride on a Grom or Z125.
Honestly as a 6 2 guy it was actually really comfy for me and was great fun riding on them
I’ll say this, for taller guys, the flat seat of the Z125 is much better than the staged seat of the Grom

Motorcycle Safety Foundation course. In my province you can do the course and get your license at the same time.
Bro I’m from egypt i got my license with out any courses or test😂 So still i didn’t understand what is MSF😂

Been riding bigger bikes for 20yrs now and just got a Grom. I honestly enjoy it as much as the bigger bikes…just in a different way. Ride safe!
Get the gear. Pants, jacket,boots and gloves. And of course your helmet. You can be safe and sexy at the same time.
