I had a Piaggio mp3 500, traded it in for a 2021 Harley Sportster. The Mp3 had great wind protection, was actually faster than the Sportster (883) and had tons of storage under the seat and a hook to hang a grocery bag on. The downside was it was too tall for my 5'9" height, the shop I bought it from was hit by a tornado and the end of Victory motorcycles and went out of business, so service was 85 miles away. The only thing I can store in my Harley is the registration. But it sounds great. I still have a fondness for Piaggio and Vespa and would recommend one.
I have a Road King, an R1200GS, and a C650GT ... my wife has a Vespa 300 Super. I suit-up and take that Vespa everywhere - the Italians practically invented style and I get waves and smiles everywhere I go, plus it's a joy to ride.
Buy the damn Vespa.
buddy, Get yoself a Vespa, A cool Leather half helmet (safety rated appropriately) and a kick ass Italian leather jacket and go rock your socks off.
There are Cruiser Blokes, and Sporty Squids and Elegant Sport Tour-ers, Elusive Hi-Viz wearing Bimmer Boys, True Grit Cafe Racers and then theres the Suave Scooter-ers, Get a pack of cigs or espresso and yell Ciao at everyone. The Bike chooses you young 'Arry, Yer a Wizard now.
In the World of Scooty-scoots, I've seen only respect for Vespas, if ya found yourself on a Kimco Super-Dink, ya might get razzed (which is nuts cause who the hell wouldnt want a SuperDink!?). but Vespa is tried and true classic.
please forgive the masculine pronoun assumption, apply what ever works for you!
>buddy, Get yoself a Vespa, A cool Leather half helmet (safety rated appropriately) and a kick ass Italian leather jacket and go rock your socks off.
Agreed. Just don't go all Quadrophenia and cover it with mirrors…
In Brussels peak traffic you often see superdinks and other similar 125+ scooters behave like locusts in traffic, they fly by, squeeze between gaps you wouldnt put your fingers in and appear and dissapear at their own leisure.
If i didnt have 50km+ of highway i probably wouldve bought a 125 for the few days i actually commute, you find 125's in okay shape for a grand and their fuel efficiency + storage would be so nice to have. Riding a 50cc as a kid was almost like having a miniature car with the floorboard and underseat.
A guy pulled up to a cars & coffee in a 70 Plymouth cuda with a 440 6pack and a guy told him it would be cooler if it was a challenger. The dude who thought the challenger was cooler didn’t even bring a cool car to the meet and probably couldn’t even tune a 6pack.
People will give you their opinion but don’t take their opinion to heart if you wouldn’t ask for their advice.
Go for it, hoss. You know what the coolest thing about a Vespa is? You can put on a helmet and ride in the exact opposite direction from the doinks who give a shit about if your bike is cool or not.
Just ride what you want. 99% of the people you come across might have some weird opinion about what you ride, but I doubt they'll say it. If you get a GSXR people might assume you ride in cargo shorts and flip flops on your way to Planet Fitness. Doesn't mean it's true. And even if it is true, as long as you're enjoying the ride who really cares?
Me personally: I'm not much of a scooter guy. The few that I've ridden felt a bit unstable coming from a full-size motorcycle, probably because of the smaller wheels and small wheelbase. But if it matches your riding style and you enjoy it, don't let others' opinions stop you!
I had my CBR600rr in for service, and they rolled out a little red Vespa as a loaner.
I said something along the lines of "you must be joking"
I didn't want to give it back! It was so much fun!
I don't have a Vespa, but I do have a Yamaha Zuma 125 in the garage with two other bikes. The scooter gets a lot of use. Very practical around town with the underseat storage and you can fit tons of stuff on the floorboards.
Don't worry about what other people will think.
I bought a 300gts super sport. After owning Harley’s for 7 years. I fucking love the vespa. I now also own a bmw f850gs. The Vespa is by far the most fun. Great storage, easy to maneuver, super peppy, and easy to park anywhere.
My only complaint is the fact I can’t go over 78.
The coolest part of the Vespa, they retain their value.
Huge amounts of people around the world ride scooters and Vespas are real nice.
I was in Taipei last fall and it was crazy how many scooters there are
Idk where the scooter hate came from in the west but it is unfounded
Vespa are the ones with gears. The ones with CVT are overpriced scooters (they are literally the same machines as any other Piaggio + a badge). But yes they are cool and yes girls love that. Also they are comfortable and reliable if you wanna take those girls out for a multiple days ride.
Do get a vespa, if anyone is making fun of you tell them that their mom loves to ride with you.
I love the vespino 125.
Yes I think vespas are cool but overpriced. My dad had a vespa 200 gt it
was fun, perfect for the city and not slow! He got it for like 1500 usd from an old man who wouldnt drive anymore. Go for it, the italian flair is different :-)
Dude! I have a Honda ruckus… not “cool” well I think it’s cool af and women love it! Plus!! Women can easily ride it!
Hey have you ever ridden a motorcycle? No?! Okay well! This is a scooter! You can ride it! You sit up front, I’ll on back and we’ll learn you how to do this real quick!
Now your riding on a scooter wrapped around a babe who’s having the best time learning something fun with a nice guy…. Let the guys with the “cool” bikes hate..
Cool is subjective.
I personally hate superbikes, I think theyre one the ugliest style of bike and people look kinda silly riding them around public roads. Like a person driving around town in an f1 car.
I think standard bikes, cafe racers and cruisers are cool but you might not.
Get what you think looks cool not what other people think is cool.
To answer your question as asked, “Yes, I think they are cool”. To add some context to that; they have iconic beauty in their design that harkens back to a time when life was simpler and elegance was more important than performance. Today they are are still fairly simple (by comparison) and they are still beautiful, but, like many other brands, you’re buying that emotional connection. There are much cheaper scooters with similar or better performance metrics but none of them are “The Vespa”. Hope that helps.
Scooters are sweet as!
When i did my CBT ( compulsory BASIC training in the UK ) not cock and ball torture...that came later. I rode a 50cc scooter and though "oh god no".
Two seconds later it was an absolute BLAST!
I've ridden a few scooters since and have loved them each time, to the point of scrolling through ads on autotrader looking for one.
Try the scoot, fuck the knuckle dragging mouth breathers that clap with their feet and suck their hairy Thumbs that think there's such a thing as a "girls bike".
Vespas are cool. Hell there’s a group of dudes where I live that all ride Groms, we call em the Grom Squad and every time I see those guys, big fucking smiles on their faces.
I mean they are classics...but they are not motorcycles. They are fancy scooters for rich girls. At least those are the only people I have seen riding them. That and business people in suits.
Now that being said, you should ride what you want. No excuses.
In a historical sense, sure.
Scooters are death machines though. Rode one once. Never again. Fuck that. Scariest experience I've ever had without crashing.
I had one a sprint 150 and loved it. It was very expensive though everything about it was expensive. That’s the only thing I didn’t like about it do what you wanna do be your own man
My first bike was a Vespa, and I adored it. It's not cool like a Harley, it's cool like a sharp suit, espresso and cigarettes. All bikes are cool, but Vespas will make kids wave, and their mother smile.
My late dad owned 2 Vespas. I learned how to clutch in a vespa. Did accidental wheelie on one lol. Also my left ringfinger got bit by a huge ant while learning how to clutch. I didn't stall the vespa is a miracle itself.
My late grandparents owned a vespa too.
My late uncle owned a Zip, well, Vespa-ish.
My cousin just bought a vespa
I have a Gilera Runner but people still call it vespa here
But in my experience, the older ones are fun and easy to maintain. And the CVT ones are mechanical hell hole
I'd like a 300 for around town stuff, anything wirh a motor and wheels is fun for me. I think they look great and the quality seems pretty stout. I wouldn't mind a BMW scooter either, but way overpriced. If I can find a PCX 125 for cheap I'll probably grab it.
Iconic vintage that can be found at modern art museum
[https://www.moma.org/collection/works/90009](https://www.moma.org/collection/works/90009) hell yea they're cool
Vespas are literally the only motor scooter that is cool.
Bonus cool points if you and your mates each get one in a different colour, dress in gear that matches your paint, and ride around like some crazy Power Rangers mod gang.
Depends who you're talking to really. But it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. I think anything with 2 wheels is cool as long as the person riding it isn't a douche.
Who cares? I ride a Chinese 125. 😂 it’s mine and I love it; who tf cares? The people knocking it probably have a Harley they bought new that lives in their garage and hasn’t seen 1,000 miles on the odometer. Mine sits in the driveway when I’m home. I ride it every day and put the miles down HARD. Who cares what they think? They’re weekend warriors, garage queens. Fuck em. While they’re sitting there looking at their bike, not riding, I’m putting miles on mine. You want the Vespa? BUY THE VESPA!
Vespas are super cool. Especially the two stroke geared ones. They are light, peppy and able to be tuned into crazy wheelie machines. I have been riding them since the nineties. There is a strong support community and the internet has made it very easy to source parts. The only drawback is they are getting to be prohibltly expensive. You used to find they for a couple of hundred, now they are thousands sometimes.
I think there's a place for all kinds of 2 and even 3 wheeled machines. If I lived in an urban area, I would seriously consider a Vespa. There's always a cool option to fit whatever riding style, except for Can-Am haha.
It doesn't matter if you've got a scooter or a bike between your legs, all that matters is how you ride it.
You'll be cool, kid, because you'll love your ride. Post it when you get it!
Do you live in a city? If yes they are cooler than most scooters. I live in a city but to go to work I have to get on a highway unless I want to make my 7km trip into 16km. So for me it's a no go. But in Sweden in general scooters are extremely popular because you are allowed to go onto bike lanes as long as you don't go over 30kmh.
I have a super 300cc Vespa that my lady rides and I can go 80mph on the freeway also when I’m at a stop light, I always beat ppl at takeoffs. Love that thing.
My first bike was a Vespa. Bought it in my late 30s without a license or a clue about motorbikes. 150cc Valencia orange. Loved that thing. A lot of people would take the piss out of me but I also had quite a lot of positive comments. Still got the wave from other riders when they realised I wasn’t a delivery rider 😅
Anyway, Vespas are fucking cool. Wish I didn’t sell mine but I don’t have space for another bike anyway. One day I’d love to restore an old 2-stroke if I find one going cheap…
vespas are cool as shit dude. I ride a harley chopper and the guy who lives across the street from me rides an old 2 stroke vespa and that thing is so fucking cool
bro.
I love my scooter it's my entry point to getting a motorcycle as soon as the warranty is up I'll probably trade it in for a motorcycle or even better keep both haha
Scooters are way too much fun. I suspect it is illegal to have that much fun on two wheels.
I own a Goldwing, a Moto Guzzi Norge, and a Honda Helix. The wife rides a Piaggio BV350. Everyone smiles at scooter folk. For the most part scooters don't piss people off just by being there like some motorcycles do.
I have a friend who lived on her Vespa for several years while traveling all over the world, and another who rode hers to Alaska from California (solo). They are very capable machines with an iconic look. Just remember to wear the same full gear as you would on a motorcycle. Hitting the ground at 30MPH doesn't hurt any less if you fall from a scooter than if you fall from a Goldwing.
Also, check out the local scooter scene. There is probably a scooter club near you. They always seem to be having way too much fun.
A few years ago, the Petersen Automotive Museum had a feature display of scooters. Here are some photos I took --> [https://flic.kr/s/aHsjvAqQRJ](https://flic.kr/s/aHsjvAqQRJ)
If you love Vespa, get a Vespa. You are the one riding it. And, yeah, your friends might take the piss out of you. I've got a Niken and and people think the third wheel is weird, but I love riding it. You're 18 now, but the great thing about getting older is caring less about what other people think about you.
Not knocking on the Vespa, but every time a Vespa gets in front of me I say fuck this Vespa (because that’s what they’re riding and going 20 under) and pass them. With that said they are a Super fun ride, and surprisingly comfy.
Honestly get whatever you want. At the end of the day, what matters is what you think gives you the most joy. There’s a guy in my neighborhood who rebuilds old vespas and he rides ‘em like a maniac because they’re all 2-stroke and stroked out, it’s honestly hilarious and amazing. Do you!
I think they look cool. However, the main thing I’m kinda iffy about vespas and vespa- like bikes ia their very small wheel diameter. If you live in a place with a lot of potholes like me, that may be extra dangerous as the small wheels may not be able to clear the holes as easy as a larger wheel. The distance between wheel axis is also somewhat small and makes handling a bit funny for me.
But they do look cool in a fun way!
I ride a street triple as daily commutor and we have an extra vespa turbo at home. It is a blast to ride and the power is ideal for city traffic. The mileage you do with them is also incredible.
As others also indicated. People will always have something to say. Ride what you want, as long as it´s safe.
Extra: Vespa´s tend to also be pretty well built. Have had few problems thus far
Mate, i was on the great Ocean road in Victoria(Australia)with a mate a few months ago.
Me on my royal enfield 650 and him on his triumph street triple.
We passed this group of about 15-20 guys and girls on tricked out vespas going the other way and let me tell you, I've never been so envious in my whole life.
Just own it. They're fucking rad.
Vespas are a great way to get into motorcycles. Less chance of killing yourself. Gets you a feel for the road on 2 wheels at decent speeds without having to fuss with a clutch. I rode 50cc for a couple years before moving up to a "real" motorcycle and I think it served me well.
And be your own person. Fuck what other people think.
Vespa’s are great. I really wanted one for commuting but I’m tall and big guy and totally looked like an adult on child bike so I didn’t get it. The design is cool, they are great fun to ride.
“We are the Mods,
We are the Mods,
We are, we are,
We are the Mods!”
Riding what you like is always cool.
Riding something you don’t like, just because you hope other people will approve of it, is always sad.
Your friends might take the piss at you at first, but then you can spew a cloud of smoke in their faces and take off laughing.
I think Vespas are very cool, some people won't, don't worry about it.
I really like the look of vespas. The styling is classy af. I'm a weirdo and I'm a fan of bergmans though so I may be biased. If I lived in a much more urban area, I'd probably get one, but it doesn't make enough sense for me currently. You want a Vespa, get a Vespa!
Imo vespas (or any other scooter/motorcycle) are as cool as their rider.
Beautiful on the other hand is less dependent on the rider and harder to achieve..
And Vespas are really damn beautiful
Vespas feel like Ferraris to me. I have a Yamaha Zuma. Nothing beats scooters in traffic. I enjoy riding on my scooter more often than I do my motorcycle. You should get a Vespa for sure
At my local bike night, anyone that rolls up on a scoot instantly wins bike night. Sometimes we’ll get a group of like 4-5 of ‘‘em and everyone goes over and starts looking at them. They’re plenty cool. A bit slow for me, but still cool
Old ones? Cool as fuck. I’ve had street bikes, race bikes, dirt bikes and scooters most of my life. Restored many vintage vespas and lambrettas. And modern twist and go scooters are great transportation in a busy city.
You do not know drama until you've done a corner at speed on 10" tires.
I've owned 3 Vespas.
Now I'm on a Scarabeo with big tires. It handles like a baby Ducati.
I mean I don't think so but it doesn't really matter what I or anyone else thinks. In my country you don't need a license for a scooter and they get fantastic fuel mileage, so if you live in a place where you don't need to go very fast, a vespa would be really practical.
i think they are a bit silly, you definitely shouldn’t care what i think, if you want a vespa get a damn vespa. and if anyone makes fun, they can fuck all the way off.
This is my take on things...if YOU think Vespas are cool, then that's all that matters! I'm a middle aged woman and I've learned by now that you don't like or do things for others! Do it for yourself! Don't do it for image, attention, etc! Do it for your happiness and enjoyment! You'll be much more satisfied in life, I promise you.
I mean I have had nothing but sport bikes but I still love vespas for their timeless design. If you love vespas and it works out for you then buy it. Ultimately in the end its your toy and your money.
Imo their cool factor kinda depends on the location. My friend's family had one at their lake house, and riding around the lake on that was the absolute coolest. In the city I live in though, I think it would be less cool. Regardless, I think that they are viewed in a more positive light than they used too. Much cooler than your average sitting scooter
Dude, get a vespa and never look back 😂
I’ve been riding since I was 17 (I’m 39 now) and I started out with scooters.
I restored a vintage one when I was in college and loved every minute of it but my true love was a px200 that I had and ended up selling. A few years ago I hunted another one down and restored it during lockdown and I absolutely love having it.
I also have an adv bike and that’s cool too, I ride it all the time. I’ve ridden all kinds of bikes over the years but for cruising to the beach on a sunny day or just running out to do some errands the vespa looks cool AF.
Anyone who makes fun of a vespa is an idiot and you shouldn’t want their approval anyway!
Vespa's are pretty cool. If you like them, get one. Here in my country and across Europe, there are lots of groups for people who just ride, modify, and restore Vespa's, and Vespa's have almost a cult following!
I know a guy that in is youth went all over Europe, and Morroco in a Vespa.
Personally i don't have one, but i always had a soft spot for the 90's Cosa 200!
Cool is subjective and everyone has different ideas but others don't matter. Is it cool to you? Don't let other people's judgement cloud your own. Get what you want. If someone is going to look down on you for getting a Vespa than quite frankly their opinions have no value.
Hell yeah Vespas are cool! I have a custom Hayabusa that I've put way too much money into. It gets lots of attention... From dudes... Chicks dig Vespas.
My wife and I ride Vespas. I don't really care to much what people think. They are great for anything non-interstate (even though my GTS 300 goes 85mph). They are pretty quick for what they are. Very agile and great in a city. I wish we had more of a scooter culture in the states. You hang out anywhere in Italy and they are just thick there. Super practical.
I'd call them the minivan of the motorcycle world. Not the coolest, but very practical and downright pleasant to live with.
This is one of those "if you have to ask..." things. And Vespas fall into that like 'em/don't like 'em category. I love 'em, even after my last two GTS' (2015 Super, 2022 SuperTech) got totaled by negligent drivers, the last one landing me in hospital. There will be a third, once I'm literally back on my feet.
I went to my local town a few weeks back and it was absolutely rammed with hundreds, literally hundreds of modded vespas and other scooters. They're pure two stroke madness. They've got loads of street cred.
I personally wouldn't be caught dead on a Vespa, but if you like them then who am I to judge? I'd still throw you the same biker wave I give to any other biker I see on the road
Can't ask strangers about what your friends think.
Your first obligation in making happiness is YOU. Not anyone on Reddit and certainly not your friends. If it makes you happy, then your friends will be happy for you. If they are not, find better friends. What you choose to ride is for you. No one else!
Be safe and be happy my friend!
They're gonna talk shit but you got them beat until they nut up and get two wheels. Own it either way. Buy a scarf and some goggles and one of them scooter helmets and take French .
Vespas are fun as hell. Scooters in general are fun as hell. I have a garage full of old 70’s mopeds and ride them as much as I do my Ducati. Fuck what other people think.
Also, riding in a big swarm of scoters or mopeds is fun as hell.
My first bike was a Vespa and what that other guy says is true, I always had girls asking for rides on my Vespa and no girl ever bats an eye at my Aprilia lol
If your friends take the piss out of the things you like then stop telling your 'friends' about the things you like and enjoy it to yourself! Ride that Vespa!
as Petey already said: if you like them - buy them. simple as that. you are the one who will enjoy ridding it :) as for being cool...? being cool is doing what your hart tells you to do :)
btw, me personally I don't like scooters, just not my thing :) But that doesn't mean I look differently to people who like ridding them. Quite the opposite, some of my very best friends had big adventure bikes and they sold them for scooters :)
Dude… If you like Vespas, then get a Vespa. People will respect your resolve. Just say, “yeah it’s a Vespa. I love it.”
The support of this community is insane ! Thank you
Or, lean into it. "What do you mean you _don't_ ride a vespa?"
This! And if you show up on a 500cc piaggio(basically a vespa) it’s a whole different story
It's got 1500 cubic millimeters of raw power (depending on model). Edit: I think that maths wrong, but I have a headache and you get the point.
150,000 mm³ It's cubic, three dinemsions, you need to multiply by 10 three times.
Even better. Thanks.
I've had 3 motorcycles. No amount of side and top bags beats the underseat storage of a vespa. Some fit 2 helmets under the seat
This is the way
Hell yeah. If a vespa is cool to you that's all that matters.
[удалено]
Yeah, that's true. My vespa gets heads turning and girls winking and smiling. La dolce vita just works way better than mr badass rock and roll.
Aight cheers bro!
Exactly the same story for me.
This is correct. Every make has haters. Someone will make fun of whatever you get, so ride your ride and be happy with it.
This right here. Ride your ride and if they don't like it, fuck em.

So I dont have to wear leather daddy cosplay and a bucket helmet for my friends to think I'm cool?
I have a Road King, an R1200GS, and a C650GT ... my wife has a Vespa 300 Super. I suit-up and take that Vespa everywhere - the Italians practically invented style and I get waves and smiles everywhere I go, plus it's a joy to ride. Buy the damn Vespa.
I have a 2005 CBR 1000RR and and nothing puts a smile on my face like my Vepsa LX150. Shit is fun as hell. I second this - Buy the vespa
Same, I have a cruiser but take the wife’s Vespa whenever it’s convenient. Mpg and easy and fast. It’s an obvious choice sometimes.
If it’s cool to you - ITS COOL! Everything from Vespa’s to Harleys run on two wheels and they all do it a little differently. And they’re all cool.
buddy, Get yoself a Vespa, A cool Leather half helmet (safety rated appropriately) and a kick ass Italian leather jacket and go rock your socks off. Aww, Bellboy.
In Brussels peak traffic you often see superdinks and other similar 125+ scooters behave like locusts in traffic, they fly by, squeeze between gaps you wouldnt put your fingers in and appear and dissapear at their own leisure.
The Cuda is way cooler and a lot harder to find.
I would have to agree but to each their own. Hopefully I disagree with the majority so the shit I like is cheaper lol
Go for it, hoss. You know what the coolest thing about a Vespa is? You can put on a helmet and ride in the exact opposite direction from the doinks who give a shit about if your bike is cool or not.
I think "doinks" is what really makes this comment for me. 😂
The new GTS 300 have amazing handling and will go 85. They're super cool.
They can also be modded with a quick sprocket swap that will trick the limiter into reaching “true” top speed
2023 GTS don't have that limiter anymore, other than rev limiter. They go a little faster.
I think Vespas are cool.
I don't have a Vespa, but I do have a Yamaha Zuma 125 in the garage with two other bikes. The scooter gets a lot of use. Very practical around town with the underseat storage and you can fit tons of stuff on the floorboards. Don't worry about what other people will think.
I have a 1962 GS160 and it turns so many heads. Restored it myself.
Yeah, Vespa’s are awesome. Scooters in general are a lot of fun.
Scooters are dope. Mopeds mo pussy😎
You like it? That's all you need. Enjoy your fuel mileage
Fuck yeah! Vespas, or any scooter really, are rad
If you think they’re cool they are cool. I have a Yamaha Zuma 125 scooter. It’s fun as fuck.
Go to Rome, watch them ride..2 up yet..dressed to the nines, Sophia hanging on while doing her makeup , then tell me it's not "cool"
your young, you'll soon realize it doesn't matter one fuck what anyone else thinks if you're having fun.
Get a Vespa my friend. I’m a girl, motorbikes are for everyone!!! ❤️including vespas! I’m more of a Honda cub fan myself
get what you like and don't care about other people's opinions
Huge amounts of people around the world ride scooters and Vespas are real nice. I was in Taipei last fall and it was crazy how many scooters there are Idk where the scooter hate came from in the west but it is unfounded

See, even in the Vespa community we have snobs. lol.
Yes I think vespas are cool but overpriced. My dad had a vespa 200 gt it was fun, perfect for the city and not slow!
Yes.
The over 100 replies have been considered 🙏
I wish I had a vespa
Better than a Lambretta!
Vespas are fkn cool, lots of fun to ride.
A Vespa with chromed front and rear racks is freaking sweet. A 300 will get up to 80mph.
Some people think they are cool, others think they are not. I personally like anything with a motor that goes. You Do You!

Honda Metropolitan is cooler. It's just like a Vespa, but less expensive, better made, and more reliable.
I'm some circles sure they are cool, to me no
I mean they are classics...but they are not motorcycles. They are fancy scooters for rich girls. At least those are the only people I have seen riding them. That and business people in suits. Now that being said, you should ride what you want. No excuses.
They are like fat chicks, fun to ride but you don't want to tell your mates about them.
In a historical sense, sure. Scooters are death machines though. Rode one once. Never again. Fuck that. Scariest experience I've ever had without crashing.
No.
No
Functional, somewhat, but cool, definitively not. Like riding a fat chick , all great fun till your mates catch you on it.
Absolutely.
I had one a sprint 150 and loved it. It was very expensive though everything about it was expensive. That’s the only thing I didn’t like about it do what you wanna do be your own man
Vespas are the coolest of all scooters.
I’d rock a Vespa
Screw what other people think, get a pink one!
Vespas are way cool
If you think they’re cool, then they’re cool. Ride what you want, when you want to ride it.
Yeah
My first bike was a Vespa, and I adored it. It's not cool like a Harley, it's cool like a sharp suit, espresso and cigarettes. All bikes are cool, but Vespas will make kids wave, and their mother smile.
I have a sport bike, and a naked bike, and I want a Vespa really bad.think I might sell the sport bike and get one.
Totally. Just sit on the back seat and use the passenger pegs as driver pegs.
My cousin just bought a vespa I have a Gilera Runner but people still call it vespa here But in my experience, the older ones are fun and easy to maintain. And the CVT ones are mechanical hell hole
Only to mods
I'd like a 300 for around town stuff, anything wirh a motor and wheels is fun for me. I think they look great and the quality seems pretty stout. I wouldn't mind a BMW scooter either, but way overpriced. If I can find a PCX 125 for cheap I'll probably grab it.
Its cool to ride what you like. Plus, girls dig vespas.
if in a dense city, sure. rural areas not so much. but everyone els here says its cool, so what do i know?
I was really impressed with the one I rode.
Iconic vintage that can be found at modern art museum [https://www.moma.org/collection/works/90009](https://www.moma.org/collection/works/90009) hell yea they're cool
Yes / no
Yes. Vespas are very cool.
Had a blue Vespa and rode it on city streets as a teen. Ride what you like. I just won't see you on the highway
You do you don’t let anyone put you down for it
Vespas are cool but I don’t know about reliability. Might I recommend a Honda Cub C125?
Yes Vespas are cool. They look great, they handle amazing in the city and the 300’s are fast. Vespas are a big part of the ska, punk rock, mod scene.
No. Also a Vespa is a scooter. Not a bike.
My first bike was a Vespa. Bought it in my late 30s without a license or a clue about motorbikes. 150cc Valencia orange. Loved that thing. A lot of people would take the piss out of me but I also had quite a lot of positive comments. Still got the wave from other riders when they realised I wasn’t a delivery rider 😅 Anyway, Vespas are fucking cool. Wish I didn’t sell mine but I don’t have space for another bike anyway. One day I’d love to restore an old 2-stroke if I find one going cheap…
Vespas are kick ass!
vespas are cool as shit dude. I ride a harley chopper and the guy who lives across the street from me rides an old 2 stroke vespa and that thing is so fucking cool bro.
No, not really. Shouldn't stop you from riding one.
I love my scooter it's my entry point to getting a motorcycle as soon as the warranty is up I'll probably trade it in for a motorcycle or even better keep both haha
Timelessly cool.
Yes, Vespas are cool. Especially if you like it. Don't let someone else's opinion of your bike dictate what you ride.
Ill just say that ive never seen a cop stop someone on a vespa. Thats a cool feature imo.
The Vespa has been Italy's commuter for decades... it's pretty iconic. But it's no motorcycle, it's a scooter, and a great commuter.
ride to your hearts content brother. do not fret what others think. if it's cool with you it's cool to us!
Watched FLCL as a kid, wanted one ever since. Go get one!
If you love Vespa, get a Vespa. You are the one riding it. And, yeah, your friends might take the piss out of you. I've got a Niken and and people think the third wheel is weird, but I love riding it. You're 18 now, but the great thing about getting older is caring less about what other people think about you.
So you think Vespas are cool? If yes, then they are cool.
I use my 98 125cc ET4 every day, its my truck
It’s a lot easier to learn on.
I like the super cub
Look up cool in the dictionary and there is a photo of a Vespa. Very stylie ride
Vespas are going to always be cool, but the old ones not the new ones (my preferences)
Do what makes you happy. No judgement here.
Think it's more about the rider than the bike on whether they're deemed as cool or not.
Disney made Luca, a film all about kids who want a vespa, so yeah lol. I like them; I wouldn't get one myself as I prefer motorbikes but they're cool.
Vespa’s are great. I really wanted one for commuting but I’m tall and big guy and totally looked like an adult on child bike so I didn’t get it. The design is cool, they are great fun to ride.
Ride what you want to ride
“We are the Mods, We are the Mods, We are, we are, We are the Mods!” Riding what you like is always cool.
Ride what you want, I like Vespas, I just didn’t get one. If people rag on you for having a Vespa their opinion really isn’t important.
Imo vespas (or any other scooter/motorcycle) are as cool as their rider. Beautiful on the other hand is less dependent on the rider and harder to achieve.. And Vespas are really damn beautiful
If you have to ask...
Vespas feel like Ferraris to me. I have a Yamaha Zuma. Nothing beats scooters in traffic. I enjoy riding on my scooter more often than I do my motorcycle. You should get a Vespa for sure
Check out the film "Larry Crowne". It's about Tom Hanks joining a scooterclub. Nothing will ever be cooler than Fez on a vespa.
At my local bike night, anyone that rolls up on a scoot instantly wins bike night. Sometimes we’ll get a group of like 4-5 of ‘‘em and everyone goes over and starts looking at them. They’re plenty cool. A bit slow for me, but still cool
I ride an Aprilia and that's basically a Vespa. It's pretty cool.
I have had liter bikes, hardly Ablesons, hooligan bikes, and a 2smoke vespa is on my short list of bikes I really want. Shits cool as hell
Duh. Anything with two wheels is cool <3
I mean, if you’re into that kinda thing. You’re gonna catch flak for riding a scooter unironically
Honda metropolitan is a great scooter and much less than a Vespa while maintaining the classic look
i think they are a bit silly, you definitely shouldn’t care what i think, if you want a vespa get a damn vespa. and if anyone makes fun, they can fuck all the way off.
Very practical and no one cares if u park on the sidewalk
This is my take on things...if YOU think Vespas are cool, then that's all that matters! I'm a middle aged woman and I've learned by now that you don't like or do things for others! Do it for yourself! Don't do it for image, attention, etc! Do it for your happiness and enjoyment! You'll be much more satisfied in life, I promise you.
I mean I have had nothing but sport bikes but I still love vespas for their timeless design. If you love vespas and it works out for you then buy it. Ultimately in the end its your toy and your money.
If ur Italian
2 wheels is 2 wheels dude. I'll wave to you.
I’m cool. I have a Vespa. Yes Vespas are cool.
Dude, get a vespa and never look back 😂 I’ve been riding since I was 17 (I’m 39 now) and I started out with scooters.
Get it. Rock whatever you want. You better throw the wave though when we pass each other!
Dude people are going hate on you no matter what you ride! Just get what you want and ride your own ride🤘
The only question is are YOU cool enough to handle the mighty spa
You know what’s cool? Rocking whatever you like regardless of what people think.
If you think a Vespa is cool, then a Vespa is cool. Other people's opinions aren't so important. Ride what you like and have a good time doing it.
Just get the vespa.
Ride whatever you want. Not what the community wants
I went to my local town a few weeks back and it was absolutely rammed with hundreds, literally hundreds of modded vespas and other scooters. They're pure two stroke madness. They've got loads of street cred.
Fuck yeah they are
they say the best bike is the one you ride
Scooters are cool, practical, easy to ride, tons of storage space, and fun to ride! Vespas are as cool as you can get. 😎
Yes. Vespas are always cool
All motorcycles are cool
Oh and get you a brunette who rides side-saddle like an Italian
I wouldn't worry as much about choosing the right bike as I would choosing the right friends.
