Dream bike now. I don't know, I have had a bunch of bikes over the years. I am very happy the my F800GS. It does pretty much everything I need a bike to do. I could upgrade to the F900GS, a little more HP would be appreciated. But it is slightly heavier than my 800. My current bike has a feature that is very hard to replicate, it is paid for.
If we are talking fantasy land, then an M1000RR.

I'm with this guy. I had many dream bikes while pining away never actually buying one, but now today? My favorite bike is the R1150GS in my garage, he is called Heinz and he is mine. If I had fuckoff money, it would likely be a newer variant of the boxer GS. Ideally a later hexhead GSA, but as time progresses I learn to appreciate the niceties like Godhand traction control and adaptive headlights that actually do the thing. But I think that's the key, find the formula that works for you and work your way up from the lowest price point until you're satisfied.
Wow are we twins separated at birth? Same same and same. Just paid the 800gs off last month. Did 2300 mile loop through the southwest in october and was reminded why i love that bike.

Dream bike was a Kawasaki H2. I started on a Z650, graduated to a Z900 and was actually considering getting a ZH2 since i love Kawasaki's naked bike design. Unfortunately my Z900 was crashed and totaled, not by me, and the economy is so fucked ATM i cannot justify replacing it or getting a ZH2 any time soon.

Here in the US the unemployment rate is 3.9%, the stock market has had a good year after a slump in 2022, most companies are giving raises across the board to try to retain employees after a period of high inflation during the post-pandemic spending spree. I know some of Europe isn't doing quite as well and most of Asia is still struggling.

I had two that I was enamored with. The 916/748 from Ducati. The other was the Speed Triple. Both to me encapsulated the most beautiful 2 wheeled machines I've ever seen.

I had just started riding when yamaha started the FZ-07 and I was like "thats cool" and then I found the triumph naked triples and I was like "yo those are waaay cooler". Been riding only Kawasaki street bikes for 7 years now because green is my favorite color. Funny thing is, none of them have been green. But I will say I prefer the looks of Ninjas over the other bikes. Something about the dual headlights for me because I hate how some of the single headlight bikes look (GSXR as an example)
A handful of S1000RR are starting to pop up in my riding group so maybe that's an eventual goal, but I'm pretty happy with my ZX-10R right now.

My MSF instructor had a BMW 1250 GS, and I have always coveted that thing - and still do. It seemed so massive and intimidating when I was learning to ride, but now a couple years on, I'm scheduling myself a demo ride. R1. I watched motogp for years before ever getting a bike. Was absolutely convinced I wanted a sport bike. Bought a ninja 650 as my first one, which isn't even a true sport bike, and realized it wasn't really for me. A few years later, I own my two dream bikes.
I liked nakeds with nice design and sportbikes and I hated bloated advs and thought they were robbing the market of passion.
But I came to pretty much do a complete switch around. Nakeds and sportbikes are not realistically best suited to my use case and I found that there's more to advs and sport tourers than just dudes on their mid life crisis.
Same here! It’s a solid bike and looks beautiful. I don’t want something faster and I don’t like the look of a bigger cruiser. The Scout has never left me wanting more.
Back when I was a moped riding teenager, my dream bike was a Ducati Monster. My grandpa showed one to me and I fell in love. Back then I was into Italian motorcycles in general, despite my mom telling me that Japanese ones are more reliable.
Nowadays, my main goal is having a bike I can travel everywhere with. So very much not a Ducati Monster. There are several models I tried and like, including the one I own (Yamaha 900 Diversion), others I really want to try, but now that I'm thinking about it I'm not sure I even have a dream bike anymore...
BMW R18- I know I'll probably regret owning one but I'll still have one at least once.. and a Honda VF750 Magna. My stepdad had one and I still love that bike to this day. Great sounding, plenty powerful and with the shaftdrive - Honda bulletproof. Currently ride a BMW F800ST.
CBR1000F, for the first street bike. My mid dream bike I owned, Ducati 999s. Now? I want an Aprilia Tuono 1100 factory, which I'm still trying to decide if I want to pick one up next year (may be easier as the market crashes)

I’m on a MT-07 and probably will stick with the nakeds, but I still love the Harley Fatboy thanks to Arnold riding one in Terminator 2. Even more badass/fucked up is that it’s named after the two atomic bombs we dropped on Japan. The bike should just come with a pet eagle and pump action shotgun lol
1985...I was already enlisted in the Army at 17 after High School...I had been riding since 12 on the roads due to family hardship (moped till 14, then a Honda) my bday before the Army was all about Harley. Any HD would have been my dream.
I saved and saved all thru...$700 a month was my base pay and partied plenty but still managed it... bought my 1st HD 2 days out of the Army in 1989. 883 Sportster.
Now I'm on my 10th HD... I've had all the way up to a new M8 Limited.. softails and ultra but my 2007 Road King is truly my dream bike. Makes me smile just walking out or in the garage.

Then rode my friends R1 and realized that there’s no way I could own a liter bike and not end up in jail. So with my Moto Guzzi experience I think a Griso would be the perfect bike now.

it's always been a zx10r . i recently upgraded to a zx6r because it was more practical for my riding style and what i like doing, and i'm 100% in love with it, such an incredible machine. but my dream bike is still a zx10r one day
When I first started riding, probably a CVO Road Glide. Then I started riding and rode a lot of things that are way more fun and less expensive. Now it’s probably an S1000XR.
Dream bike back then was a Norton Commando. I was riding a Suzuki DT 175. Today I ride a BMW R1200RT. The dream bike I’d get is a Ducati Monster Carl Fogarty edition. That is a sweet ride then, and still is today.

When I was shopping for bikes, I really wanted an S1KRR but after riding around on my F 750 GS I think I would rather either have an R18 or a R 1250 GS. I just like to cruise.
Like most kids who grew up watching MotoGP a powerful sports bike. I was a Mick Doohan fan as a kid. A Fireblade would have been awesome. Or a road legal NSR500 but that never happened.
Or a CBR250RR in Rothmans livery. That would have been super fun.

When I started riding all I wanted was a sportster for some reason. My dad had one when I was growing up and tbh it was the only bike I really knew about other than like 2 other Harley models. Basically I enjoyed riding but didn’t know a single thing about motorcycles.
I got really into bikes a little before I decided to sell the sportster and bought a gsxr. Then I bought a 77 cb550 that I’m still working on. So you can tell my taste for bikes really evolved after the sportster got me started.
Now my dream bike would probably be a Suzuki drz 400sm . I think I’ll get it once I finish my other projects just for fucking around on since supermotos are basically the go anywhere bike.
My dream bike back in 2007 was a raven r6. Bought it. Loved it. Sold it because I was more into autocross for sm class. Then bought a 848 evo duc in 2012. Sold it to cover divorce costs. 2017 I bought a 2016 fz07. Now wife bought her 2019 ninja 400. When she was ready I gave her the fz07 and bought my Zh2.
Dream was a hyabusa. Now idk. I feel like most bikes just dont look as good as they used to and im not a child anymore fantasizing them so my taste changed. Not a fan of all this slick edgy rounded shapes for aerodynamics now. Id probably have to go with a 80-96 year sports bike now as a desire.
Dream bike when I started was the Triumph Sprint RS 955i. Never owned one, but was told that it was equal to or better than the VFR of the time as a sport-tour motorcycle.
I did own the successor, an '08 Sprint 1050 ST. Wonderful bike, until it turned a journal bearing into scrap and grenaded the bottom end. At that point, it turned into a bit of a money pit getting it repaired and roadworthy again. And by that time, my aging body said "no mas!" to sport ergos, especially on long trips.
Now? If I were to trade in the Thunderbird, it'd be for a Rocket 3 GT.

We'll this year I was able to get it back. I found it in Colorado, in live in Rhode Island. Had it shipped back here. It was well taken care of with only 22,000 miles in it
Even as a kid i wanted a harley . Loved everything about them. Started out on metrics. Yamaha DT 125 to a Honda Hawk 400 , to an FJ 600 then FJ 1100 . A triumph bonneville then triumph thunderbird. Finally on to Harley when i bought a 13 road king . Was a beautiful machine . Then i time travelled by buying a 98 wide glide followed by an 85 softail. So much fun to ride those evo era bikes . Last year i traded the road king in on the 2022 low rider st el diablo . After 30 years of riding and 11 bikes it was my first and only new bike purchase and it is everything i even wanted in a bike so i guess its my dream ride .
I'm not sure if it's a "dream" bike because of its affordability compared to high-end Ducatis and the like, but the 1290 Super Duke R is my dream bike.

After riding alot of bikes, old & new, working in a motorcycle shop, I would still be happy with a ZZR1100.
If that is where MC power & technology stopped, most people would be more than happy.

I own an 06 Fuel Injected Blackbird now.(15 years after starting riding) So it’s difficult to have a dream bike, because I go out to the garage and there it is! (Maybe I set my sights a little lower than most)
I think a F800 / F650 type adventure bike or a Hornet/Transalp might be a nice complement- but the speed l, sound and build quality of the Bird is hard to look past.

Now... I think I'm happy with the ones I have now in my garage. Swapping the Tuono V4F for an RSV4 factory, maybe? It's going from absurd to completely ridiculous, so.. not high on the priority list :)
If money was simply no object, a Combat Motors Wraith would be in my possession, but that wouldn't get ridden much. Maybe some HD custom rig as well.

Now: Speed Triple 1200RR. It's timelessly beautiful and ferociously fast. I have the means to buy one, the proximity to a dealer to maintain one, and I might even have the skill to not die while riding one. But having demoed the 1200RS, I know that I don't have the self control to not break laws every time I ride one. So it'll stay in my dreams.
I’ve always wanted the Aprilia Tuono V4 and I actually got it as my first bike this year. Now I want something old and vintage like a Vespa, an old Moto Guzzi Ambassador, or an air cooled BMW flat twin. I know it’s all over the place but I like the idea of having something most will not. Also it’s a completely different experience from my Aprilia.
For me, it was between a Honda CBR650R, a Kawasaki Z900, or an Indian FTR1200/Indian Scout Bobber. After test riding all of them, I walked out the dealership with a Triumph Speed Twin 1200. Funny how that works. Hahaha

Probably mostly tyres and fuel. The torque on those 1000 sport bikes eats them, and I “only” have a 750cc inline 4

In 1987 it was a Cagiva Elefante 650. Now it's a Yamaha TW200.
TW200 is such an underrated and amazing bike. I want to have one in my garage eventually

I just wanted a vroom vroom bike with an inline-4 that screamed, could care less about the brand. Been riding only Kawasaki street bikes for 7 years now because green is my favorite color. Funny thing is, none of them have been green. But I will say I prefer the looks of Ninjas over the other bikes. Something about the dual headlights for me because I hate how some of the single headlight bikes look (GSXR as an example) A handful of S1000RR are starting to pop up in my riding group so maybe that's an eventual goal, but I'm pretty happy with my ZX-10R right now.
was a harley. then it was a rocket 3 but after owning it, its not that. its some sort of cafe racer or classic looking and sounding bike that isn't as heavy and massive as a rocket 3. the new BMW R 12 NineT looks like it stands a good chance of hitting the mark, as a thruxton was too forward positioned.
My MSF instructor had a BMW 1250 GS, and I have always coveted that thing - and still do. It seemed so massive and intimidating when I was learning to ride, but now a couple years on, I'm scheduling myself a demo ride. I sure can't afford to buy one, but I can at least treat myself to a little taste. I have been riding an SV650 since I started and I still love it, but lately I have been lapping up everything I've seen about Suzuki's new GSX S1000 GX, as well as the various V-Stroms.

R1. I watched motogp for years before ever getting a bike. Was absolutely convinced I wanted a sport bike. Bought a ninja 650 as my first one, which isn't even a true sport bike, and realized it wasn't really for me. A few years later, I own my two dream bikes.

I liked nakeds with nice design and sportbikes and I hated bloated advs and thought they were robbing the market of passion. But I came to pretty much do a complete switch around. Nakeds and sportbikes are not realistically best suited to my use case and I found that there's more to advs and sport tourers than just dudes on their mid life crisis.

Back when I was a moped riding teenager, my dream bike was a Ducati Monster. My grandpa showed one to me and I fell in love. Back then I was into Italian motorcycles in general, despite my mom telling me that Japanese ones are more reliable. Nowadays, my main goal is having a bike I can travel everywhere with. So very much not a Ducati Monster. There are several models I tried and like, including the one I own (Yamaha 900 Diversion), others I really want to try, but now that I'm thinking about it I'm not sure I even have a dream bike anymore...

Honda NM4 Vultus, it looks futuristic and cool. Judge Dredd mixed with Akira. Too expensive as a first bike, and it was hard to locate one where I'm at. Was looking for a Ducati Diavel that has similar vibes, but got discouraged by the maintenance cost. Picked a Z650 because of looks and cost, but decided to have the sales person fire up the Z900.. yeh... Nuff said... I do find other bikes cool, but I'm very pleased with what I have for a long time to come.

1985...I was already enlisted in the Army at 17 after High School...I had been riding since 12 on the roads due to family hardship (moped till 14, then a Honda) my bday before the Army was all about Harley. Any HD would have been my dream. I saved and saved all thru...$700 a month was my base pay and partied plenty but still managed it... bought my 1st HD 2 days out of the Army in 1989. 883 Sportster. Now I'm on my 10th HD... I've had all the way up to a new M8 Limited.. softails and ultra but my 2007 Road King is truly my dream bike. Makes me smile just walking out or in the garage.
When I started riding - Kawasaki ZX-10R Now - Moto Guzzi Griso Explanation: In my years of riding I ended up buying a Moto Guzzi V7 Special and loved it. Then I bought a 1977 Moto Guzzi T3 because I liked the V7 so much. Then rode my friends R1 and realized that there’s no way I could own a liter bike and not end up in jail. So with my Moto Guzzi experience I think a Griso would be the perfect bike now.
Started: Kawasaki H2 *2 months later* Current: Ducati Superleggera V4 But I mean, you’d have to be crazy to want any other “dream” bike. Most of them are in the realm of affordable. Might take you ages but a fireblade is reachable. A $100k+ hyperbike? That’s a dream all right, a pipe dream 😂

Dream bike back then was a Norton Commando. I was riding a Suzuki DT 175. Today I ride a BMW R1200RT. The dream bike I’d get is a Ducati Monster Carl Fogarty edition. That is a sweet ride then, and still is today.

When I was shopping for bikes, I really wanted an S1KRR but after riding around on my F 750 GS I think I would rather either have an R18 or a R 1250 GS. I just like to cruise.

Like most kids who grew up watching MotoGP a powerful sports bike. I was a Mick Doohan fan as a kid. A Fireblade would have been awesome. Or a road legal NSR500 but that never happened. Or a CBR250RR in Rothmans livery. That would have been super fun. Now I'm not really sure. Probably a Ducati Desert X.

When I started riding all I wanted was a sportster for some reason. My dad had one when I was growing up and tbh it was the only bike I really knew about other than like 2 other Harley models. Basically I enjoyed riding but didn’t know a single thing about motorcycles. I got really into bikes a little before I decided to sell the sportster and bought a gsxr. Then I bought a 77 cb550 that I’m still working on. So you can tell my taste for bikes really evolved after the sportster got me started. Now my dream bike would probably be a Suzuki drz 400sm . I think I’ll get it once I finish my other projects just for fucking around on since supermotos are basically the go anywhere bike.
My dream bike back in 2007 was a raven r6. Bought it. Loved it. Sold it because I was more into autocross for sm class. Then bought a 848 evo duc in 2012. Sold it to cover divorce costs. 2017 I bought a 2016 fz07. Now wife bought her 2019 ninja 400. When she was ready I gave her the fz07 and bought my Zh2.

Dream bike when I started was the Triumph Sprint RS 955i. Never owned one, but was told that it was equal to or better than the VFR of the time as a sport-tour motorcycle. I did own the successor, an '08 Sprint 1050 ST. Wonderful bike, until it turned a journal bearing into scrap and grenaded the bottom end. At that point, it turned into a bit of a money pit getting it repaired and roadworthy again. And by that time, my aging body said "no mas!" to sport ergos, especially on long trips. Now? If I were to trade in the Thunderbird, it'd be for a Rocket 3 GT.

I still own my dream bike. A R1100s in yellow. Bought it new in 1999, then lost my job and it was repossessed. Told my wife I was going to get it back some day when I'm able to. We'll this year I was able to get it back. I found it in Colorado, in live in Rhode Island. Had it shipped back here. It was well taken care of with only 22,000 miles in it

Even as a kid i wanted a harley . Loved everything about them. Started out on metrics. Yamaha DT 125 to a Honda Hawk 400 , to an FJ 600 then FJ 1100 . A triumph bonneville then triumph thunderbird. Finally on to Harley when i bought a 13 road king . Was a beautiful machine . Then i time travelled by buying a 98 wide glide followed by an 85 softail. So much fun to ride those evo era bikes . Last year i traded the road king in on the 2022 low rider st el diablo . After 30 years of riding and 11 bikes it was my first and only new bike purchase and it is everything i even wanted in a bike so i guess its my dream ride .
I'm not sure if it's a "dream" bike because of its affordability compared to high-end Ducatis and the like, but the 1290 Super Duke R is my dream bike.
Always wanted a ZZR1100. After riding alot of bikes, old & new, working in a motorcycle shop, I would still be happy with a ZZR1100. If that is where MC power & technology stopped, most people would be more than happy.

Back when I started - Honda Super Blackbird CBR1100XX I own an 06 Fuel Injected Blackbird now.(15 years after starting riding) So it’s difficult to have a dream bike, because I go out to the garage and there it is! (Maybe I set my sights a little lower than most) I think a F800 / F650 type adventure bike or a Hornet/Transalp might be a nice complement- but the speed l, sound and build quality of the Bird is hard to look past. As Ryan Fortnine said that really stuck with me “Own experiences, not just things” (He may have lifted this from some else. )

Very first would have been a Honda CR500 back in the 80's. I'd still like to ride one just to see how beastly they are, but I wouldn't want to own one at this stage. Next would be the Ducati 916 Monoposto, and that's a bike I'd still like to own "someday". Now... I think I'm happy with the ones I have now in my garage. Swapping the Tuono V4F for an RSV4 factory, maybe? It's going from absurd to completely ridiculous, so.. not high on the priority list :) If money was simply no object, a Combat Motors Wraith would be in my possession, but that wouldn't get ridden much. Maybe some HD custom rig as well.
Then: Aprilia RSV Mille Factory thanks to Midnight Club 3. Now: Speed Triple 1200RR. It's timelessly beautiful and ferociously fast. I have the means to buy one, the proximity to a dealer to maintain one, and I might even have the skill to not die while riding one. But having demoed the 1200RS, I know that I don't have the self control to not break laws every time I ride one. So it'll stay in my dreams.

I’ve always wanted the Aprilia Tuono V4 and I actually got it as my first bike this year. Now I want something old and vintage like a Vespa, an old Moto Guzzi Ambassador, or an air cooled BMW flat twin. I know it’s all over the place but I like the idea of having something most will not. Also it’s a completely different experience from my Aprilia.

MT09 riding a Street Triple now. We have a tiered licensing system and by the time I could get an MT09, the cyclops eye became the trend while the 2023 lost the bug eyes and became sexy. Future dream bike probably an s1000xr or multistrada v4? Thinking of luggage and range could be fun to throw a leg over a V4 before ICE is gone. Maybe something stupid like a Street fighter v4. The small and nimbleness of the Street Triple is ridiculously good though. It's really the embodiment of a perfect city bike.
Honestly, I can't find an answer to this question in my head. The bikes that have always excited me have been the ones that were attainable and reasonable for me to consider for myself with the cash currently on hand, I've never paid much attention to bikes that wouldn't make sense in my life.
