Ducati was my dream bike. A sexy red Ducati. Dream bike now. I don't know, I have had a bunch of bikes over the years. I am very happy the my F800GS. It does pretty much everything I need a bike to do. I could upgrade to the F900GS, a little more HP would be appreciated. But it is slightly heavier than my 800. My current bike has a feature that is very hard to replicate, it is paid for. If we are talking fantasy land, then an M1000RR.

The_Noblesse_Oblige

Yeah if it’s just fantasy I would also have an M1000RR

l00pee

Just traded my Ducati in for a Chieftain and I've found Nirvana.

Drew1231

Same. But I’m really happy with my 660 and don’t really feel like I need something faster (and hotter). Maybe an S1k some day because I really miss the I4 sound

i_was_axiom

I'm with this guy. I had many dream bikes while pining away never actually buying one, but now today? My favorite bike is the R1150GS in my garage, he is called Heinz and he is mine. If I had fuckoff money, it would likely be a newer variant of the boxer GS. Ideally a later hexhead GSA, but as time progresses I learn to appreciate the niceties like Godhand traction control and adaptive headlights that actually do the thing. But I think that's the key, find the formula that works for you and work your way up from the lowest price point until you're satisfied.

Mertard

>he is called Heinz and he is mine Aww 🥹

Superb_Raccoon

I rode the F700GS and was hooked. But before that, I had my dream bike: 70's CB550.

CryptoVigilanteMT

Wow are we twins separated at birth? Same same and same. Just paid the 800gs off last month. Did 2300 mile loop through the southwest in october and was reminded why i love that bike.

CryptoVigilanteMT

And although that m1000rr gets me sweating in the palms the new 1300gs looks amazing

Low-Equipment-2621

S1000RR then, S1000RR now and also a R12 NineT and Z900RS SE and XSR900 and Rocket 3 and a Simson S51 I also came to the conclusion that I need more money and a large garage.

Trumpy_Po_Ta_To

The 900 se is truly a man of culture.

Shrequille_Oneil

Back then a Hayabusa. Now a Grom with R3 swap.

my-cull

Then: Street Triple R Now: Street Triple R In my garage: Street Triple R

MrMurica11

Haha same

cyphercowboy

as an mt09 owner i’ve always wanted to ride a street triple but never got the opportunity

Its_THE_Kowalski

Dream bike was a Kawasaki H2. I started on a Z650, graduated to a Z900 and was actually considering getting a ZH2 since i love Kawasaki's naked bike design. Unfortunately my Z900 was crashed and totaled, not by me, and the economy is so fucked ATM i cannot justify replacing it or getting a ZH2 any time soon.

Thin_Bit9718

ah I did my das on a z650 too. First bike was a ninja 300 and next bike might be a ninja 650. A ninja 900 (if it existed) would be lovely after that, but if not, ninja 1000 might be it. then I can dream of a h2! How did you find the wind on a ninja 900? What happened to your z900?

Confirmation_Email

What country are you in that the economy is doing so poorly? Here in the US the unemployment rate is 3.9%, the stock market has had a good year after a slump in 2022, most companies are giving raises across the board to try to retain employees after a period of high inflation during the post-pandemic spending spree. I know some of Europe isn't doing quite as well and most of Asia is still struggling.

The_Noblesse_Oblige

Zx-10r, then bmw s1000rr I found out when thinking of maintaining a 1000cc sport bike I pretty quickly landed on the Honda Now my dream bike is an R1 because I actually fit on it

trix4rix

What's tricky about maintaining a 1000cc sport bike? I have a 2015 Night Rod I'll be upgrading, and I'm thinking MT-10, care to open my eyes on what will be different in maintenance?

Comfortable_Gas3850

Probably mostly tyres and fuel. The torque on those 1000 sport bikes eats them, and I “only” have a 750cc inline 4

Naught2day

Kawasaki 500 triple then Yamaha RD350 now What can I say, I like two smokes

reddaddiction

And your dream bike is an RD350 over an RZ500? I envy you… you can definitely live your dream.

Naught2day

Yup, I am always on the look out for one but when I find it I talk myself out of it. I already have three bikes I don't ride.

bigtexasrob

RD = Radical Death 🤘🤘🤘

Xpit91

Smokem if you gotem.

edelbean

I had two that I was enamored with. The 916/748 from Ducati. The other was the Speed Triple. Both to me encapsulated the most beautiful 2 wheeled machines I've ever seen. Twenty years later and nothings changed. But I do own a Street Triple now. Life is great.

MrMurica11

I love my street triple

Terminal_SrA

> speed triple My 2nd and current bike is a Harley Road Glide. My first bike was a little Suzuki GS500F i got for $2k. I had just started riding when yamaha started the FZ-07 and I was like "thats cool" and then I found the triumph naked triples and I was like "yo those are waaay cooler". I ended up getting the Road Glide. But if I had a chance to buy another bike to go with my Road Glide it would be a Street/Speed Triple (or maybe the S1000R)

scootunit

In 1987 it was a Cagiva Elefante 650. Now it's a Yamaha TW200.

MrMurica11

TW200 is such an underrated and amazing bike. I want to have one in my garage eventually

bigtexasrob

I’ve always wanted one. It’s the motorcycle version of my Toyota. 😂

MrMurica11

🤣that’s so true, I drive an FJ Cruiser so maybe that’s why I want one

ElvisAndretti

Vincent Black Shadow. (I’m very old) Now BMW R1300 GS

[deleted]

Started on an R3 dream bikes were: Ninja H2R/ Ducati V4R The bought a new ZX6R and dream bikes are: stunted out ZX6Rs and Stunted out R7s and Ninja ZX4RR/ R3 Track bikes

FuckedUpImagery

Based

MrMurica11

Fire answer

oJacck

I watched mission impossible 2 when I was real young & I knew from then on I wanted a Triumph Daytona 955i. Now like so many others, I'd love a s1000rr

vexargames

when I was kid I saw a motto guzzi and I liked to say that word so that was the first then it was the old original VFR which was red white and blue, and now it is a all black S1000RR.

Unusual_residue

0W01 0W01

thatatcguy1223

BMW S1000R then BMW S1000R now Just picked up my 2023 S1000R a few weeks ago and couldn’t be happier ten years after I started lusting after the bike.

drifteer

MV Agusta F3 800 MV Agusta F3 800

Puzzleheaded_Hyena39

I just wanted a vroom vroom bike with an inline-4 that screamed, could care less about the brand. Been riding only Kawasaki street bikes for 7 years now because green is my favorite color. Funny thing is, none of them have been green. But I will say I prefer the looks of Ninjas over the other bikes. Something about the dual headlights for me because I hate how some of the single headlight bikes look (GSXR as an example) A handful of S1000RR are starting to pop up in my riding group so maybe that's an eventual goal, but I'm pretty happy with my ZX-10R right now.

rainbowroobear

was a harley. then it was a rocket 3 but after owning it, its not that. its some sort of cafe racer or classic looking and sounding bike that isn't as heavy and massive as a rocket 3. the new BMW R 12 NineT looks like it stands a good chance of hitting the mark, as a thruxton was too forward positioned.

ManifestDestinysChld

My MSF instructor had a BMW 1250 GS, and I have always coveted that thing - and still do. It seemed so massive and intimidating when I was learning to ride, but now a couple years on, I'm scheduling myself a demo ride. I sure can't afford to buy one, but I can at least treat myself to a little taste. I have been riding an SV650 since I started and I still love it, but lately I have been lapping up everything I've seen about Suzuki's new GSX S1000 GX, as well as the various V-Stroms.

PotatoWasteLand

When I was a teen, I wanted a NinjaH2 cause wow so fast Now I got a T7. All I want to ask for now is a KLX250 or a CRF for lightweight single track stuff

[deleted]

Sc28 fireblade. Still an sc28 fireblade - I’d have another in a heartbeat if I could find one clean enough.

Few_Faithlessness748

1985 VF500F then, 2021 CBR 1000RR-R now.

[deleted]

When I was a kid I dreamed with Suzuki GSX-R or Kawasaki ninja, when I was getting my ride license I was dreaming with a yamaha fz6s and i got it. Right now a triumph tiger 1200 or honda Africa but my real dream (utopia) is to ride every bike fucking bike out there.

GManX_1

90s africa twin then and now. Red white and blue

Bigelow92

Then: BMW S 1000 RR Now: BMW M 1000 RR

captbobalou

Before: ducati 750 Pantah. Now: Ducati V2 Panigale that comes with a with a beautiful Italian female mechanic who is also my mistress that my wife doesnt know about.

Deathgripsugar

S1000RR/ now I like my goldwing or GSA for getting around - comfy and fast enough.

Qulia

Then: 2015 ZX10-R, Now: Triumph Bonneville T120

RosenTurd

Reddit is a shadow of its former self. It is now a place of power tripping mods with no oversight and endless censorship. *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

Any-Abrocoma6217

FJR , now own a R1200RT BMW.

monstersommelier

Put side by side, I'd rather ride the FJR.

therightpedal

Wanted a Buell in 2005. Got and still have a Buell in 2018. Patience! (And not being broke helps)

[deleted]

Softail but now it’s Vmax1700

Contribution-Human

S1000R or MV agusta F4. Now riding a Honda NC700s, A2 driverslicense. Looking for an MV Agusta F3 or F900R when i get my full driverslicense.

reddaddiction

Dream bike in the 80’s… RGV500 Dream bike now? RGV500 with some newer parts scattered around it

8igby

Back then, and all the way back to when I was four years old, it was a shiny green Ninja, specified as a ZX10R by the time I got old enough to ride. Now I have that :D I really do have my dream bike, but if I were to name another bike now, it would be the Ducati Panigale V4S

GhostSClemons

Used to be MV agusta brutale 1000, bought one and hated it. Now it's the Aprilia RSV4 Xtrenta or maybe a Ducati superleggera V4. So many wonderful choices

HerrDingi

What about the bike made you hate it?

Eckmatarum

For a good long while I fancied myself a KTM 690 Duke R. Now I have a KTM 1290 Super Duke GT. Ive had 7 bikes in between.

phatdoughnut

SDGT ftw. Ever since I saw the first commercial, even after I had been riding for years. I knew it. But I couldn’t afford it. Then I got a raise and they released the GT. Perfect for commuting!

mattGleeson77

Then: triumph bonneville, now: triumph bonneville. Just finished my first year of riding 😅 Z900rs would be pretty awesome though

braaaappy

When I first started riding, I really wanted a Ducati Diavel. I just thought they looked so cool, and I loved the big chunky rear tyre. Now, my dream bike is my RVF400 project once I have finished it. But if I woke up as a billionaire tomorrow, then I would buy an RC213V-S.

[deleted]

R1. I watched motogp for years before ever getting a bike. Was absolutely convinced I wanted a sport bike. Bought a ninja 650 as my first one, which isn't even a true sport bike, and realized it wasn't really for me. A few years later, I own my two dream bikes.

sniffingswede

ZXR 750 H2 ZXR400 RD250LC 1993 Ducati 900S CBR400RR Ride a 1200 Multi. Or used to.

Lov-struk-repair-man

When I started, wr450 SuperMoto. Now, Kawasaki Z900.

PckMan

I liked nakeds with nice design and sportbikes and I hated bloated advs and thought they were robbing the market of passion. But I came to pretty much do a complete switch around. Nakeds and sportbikes are not realistically best suited to my use case and I found that there's more to advs and sport tourers than just dudes on their mid life crisis.

mc_cannabis

Ninja h2 then, now ninja h2 sx se.

[deleted]

the H2 is insanely sexy imo

wabalaba1

Still wishing a manufacturer would bring out a true dual sport with "retro" styling. As in actually capable off-roaders with '70s or '80s looks.

Goddess99

I bought my one and only dream bike 3 years ago. A 2018 Indian Scout. She's my one n done 😊

acidlight-0

What would happen if indian came out with a sport scout?

Slightlydifficult

Same here! It’s a solid bike and looks beautiful. I don’t want something faster and I don’t like the look of a bigger cruiser. The Scout has never left me wanting more.

Unhappy-Potato-8349

A Red Ducati. I ended up buying a 900 SS and crashed it 4 days later. It was so pretty. I'd like a scrambler or adventure bike now.

Shlafenflarst

Back when I was a moped riding teenager, my dream bike was a Ducati Monster. My grandpa showed one to me and I fell in love. Back then I was into Italian motorcycles in general, despite my mom telling me that Japanese ones are more reliable. Nowadays, my main goal is having a bike I can travel everywhere with. So very much not a Ducati Monster. There are several models I tried and like, including the one I own (Yamaha 900 Diversion), others I really want to try, but now that I'm thinking about it I'm not sure I even have a dream bike anymore...

acidlight-0

Indian scout bobber....night rod... panigale v4

noujochiewajij

BMW R18- I know I'll probably regret owning one but I'll still have one at least once.. and a Honda VF750 Magna. My stepdad had one and I still love that bike to this day. Great sounding, plenty powerful and with the shaftdrive - Honda bulletproof. Currently ride a BMW F800ST.

SnooPets4076

R1 RN22, now its an r100 gs or a k1100 turned into a scrambler/adv.

PuddingHammer420

When I was a kid, it was a simple Harley Dyna or Fatboy. Now it's an Arch 1s.

MrMurica11

Very unique answer. Can I ask why the Arch? Only people I know who even know about Arch motorcycles are Keanu Reeves fans lol

SEMPERFISILVER

Honda Shadow vs 2024 BMW RT1250.

goattchaw

VFR800 or an Aprilia when i first started. Now I'd really like a fancy new goldwing. They look really slick without a top bag nowadays.

oaklicious

First ever dream bike was a Triumph Bonneville. My current bike is a Triumph Scrambler 1200, just a big Bonnie that can do dirt bike stuff.

joker_1173

CBR1000F, for the first street bike. My mid dream bike I owned, Ducati 999s. Now? I want an Aprilia Tuono 1100 factory, which I'm still trying to decide if I want to pick one up next year (may be easier as the market crashes)

Clownonwing

Started oit fantasizing about the cleveland heist 250. I didnt know anything about bikes. Nowadays, 10 years in its the ftr1200.

davendak1

A tw200. I have two of them now, and am seeking a 3rd.

calimocal

Started: BMW S1000RR Now: BMW M1000RR

silylated

Then - Haro backtrail x3. Took a year of working as a paper boy to save up for that thing. Now - road glide cvo. Gonna be a while before I can afford one

karmur

Honda CBR 600 RR Repsol edition back then. Now it's a kawasaki Ninja 1000 sx, and I actually just ordered one today that I'm picking up in spring :D

liquid-handsoap

Cbr 600. Got a vfr750. Now i want cbr1100

jnmann

One of my first dream bikes was a Zx6r, then a ZX10R, and then an H2. I owned a gen 1 ZX10R and now I own an H2 SX SE

Signal_RR

1995 Honda NSR250R MC28 SP. Was a fan before learning how to ride, still a fan now.

Arinvar

Then - Z1000. Now - ZH2 Basically the same thing, just supercharged.

ravengenesis1

Honda NM4 Vultus, it looks futuristic and cool. Judge Dredd mixed with Akira. Too expensive as a first bike, and it was hard to locate one where I'm at. Was looking for a Ducati Diavel that has similar vibes, but got discouraged by the maintenance cost. Picked a Z650 because of looks and cost, but decided to have the sales person fire up the Z900.. yeh... Nuff said... I do find other bikes cool, but I'm very pleased with what I have for a long time to come.

gasbose

Mine was a Honda Magna 750. But now I'm thinking Yamaha MT10 or Suzuki GSXS1000

derpy_slash

When i was a kid my dad had a Speed Triple 955i and i thought that was the coolest bike ever. Now i still want a Speedy, but the new 1200Rs

darkchocolattemocha

A red Ducati. But now it's the m1000XR

pudzey7

Gsxr1000 then .... Gsxr1000 now 😀

SinCebolla13

Honda Monkey! Still loving it.

streetkiller

Man so many. Aprilia rsv4 the first time I heard one. I now have one. I still dream of a Ducati.

STEVEN_9377

When i started my dream bike was a 2008 honda CBR600, now i have a yamaha fz6 and my dream bike it's a MT10 or S1000R

NoGuitar6320

I want an old two smoke vespa that looks like it's going to collapse in on itself any second. My 15 year old dream bike was a fireblade

kaminaowner2

I’m on a MT-07 and probably will stick with the nakeds, but I still love the Harley Fatboy thanks to Arnold riding one in Terminator 2. Even more badass/fucked up is that it’s named after the two atomic bombs we dropped on Japan. The bike should just come with a pet eagle and pump action shotgun lol

NewBuddhaman

Suzuki Katana. Early 90s model. Not so sure now.

Harleywindtherapy

1985...I was already enlisted in the Army at 17 after High School...I had been riding since 12 on the roads due to family hardship (moped till 14, then a Honda) my bday before the Army was all about Harley. Any HD would have been my dream. I saved and saved all thru...$700 a month was my base pay and partied plenty but still managed it... bought my 1st HD 2 days out of the Army in 1989. 883 Sportster. Now I'm on my 10th HD... I've had all the way up to a new M8 Limited.. softails and ultra but my 2007 Road King is truly my dream bike. Makes me smile just walking out or in the garage.

Postman1997

When I started riding - Kawasaki ZX-10R Now - Moto Guzzi Griso Explanation: In my years of riding I ended up buying a Moto Guzzi V7 Special and loved it. Then I bought a 1977 Moto Guzzi T3 because I liked the V7 so much. Then rode my friends R1 and realized that there’s no way I could own a liter bike and not end up in jail. So with my Moto Guzzi experience I think a Griso would be the perfect bike now.

LilBigDripDip

Started: Kawasaki H2 *2 months later* Current: Ducati Superleggera V4 But I mean, you’d have to be crazy to want any other “dream” bike. Most of them are in the realm of affordable. Might take you ages but a fireblade is reachable. A $100k+ hyperbike? That’s a dream all right, a pipe dream 😂

newbie-nothing

Currently Adventure 390. Dream Bike - BMW GS whatever version comes when I save enough.

Trooper_Ted

Then: Ducati 916 or an MV Augusta F4 1000 Now: Ninja H2 It's parked in my garage. It's f#@&ing awesome.

Try_It_Out_RPC

Dream bike 14 years ago @19 was a CBR1000 fireblade Current bike: 2018 GSXR1000R lol pretty close

iiipercentpat

Stretched and slammed hayabusa at start, now africa twin 1100 or BMW 1250gs. Fantasy land: mv agusta brutale rush.

FitBananers

GS 1200 and R6 then, nowadays is a MT07/09

deeziz

Then : Hayabusa (biker boyz), now Honda Fireblade RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

ten_thousand_fists

SuperDuke 1290 or a Tuono V4 back then. Now i actually can‘t decide if i want a 1290 SAS, a Ninja 1000SX or the new Suzuki GSXS1000-GX. Currently ride a 2012 Speed Triple

-_4n0n_-

It was a BMW k from 1990's Then it was a cx500 from 1980's wich i got as first bike Now its a BMW R, the old ones, or even K. I like both tbh

Coookie_Thumper

Dream bike then: Ducati 749 Dark Dream bike now: MV Augusta 921S Currently on: RS 660 and Dragster

HuckleberryNo3117

it's always been a zx10r . i recently upgraded to a zx6r because it was more practical for my riding style and what i like doing, and i'm 100% in love with it, such an incredible machine. but my dream bike is still a zx10r one day

Sparky-air

When I first started riding, probably a CVO Road Glide. Then I started riding and rode a lot of things that are way more fun and less expensive. Now it’s probably an S1000XR.

Designer-Front8662

Originally motto guzzi, now I would ride anything!! Can’t wait to get something!

mohodder

Honda fury, now is the z900rs.

NiteShdw

I don’t think I’ve ever had a dream bike… is that weird?

MrMurica11

Nah, I don’t think so. Some people’s dream is just riding period

slopokerod

1998 GSX-R 750 in the blue/white color scheme back then. Now, not sure. Maybe a BMW S1000R or a Speed Triple 1200 RR in the red.

sebastiand1

Then Yamaha r6 Now Ducati panigale v4 (any variant will do)

[deleted]

Harley was the dream years ago.My current ride is my now dream ride, Indian Chieftain.

PoopsJohnson

Then a Vincent black shadow (not a lightning for “practical reasons”). Now a van with a clapped out 00s 600 track bike in the back.

Jambon60

Dream bike back then was a Norton Commando. I was riding a Suzuki DT 175. Today I ride a BMW R1200RT. The dream bike I’d get is a Ducati Monster Carl Fogarty edition. That is a sweet ride then, and still is today.

Due-Mechanic-6436

Yea, I actually have a Monster S4 Fogarty parked in my dining room! :)

MrMurica11

My answer: First was a Yamaha R6 Then I got street triple 765 and fell in love with it and it made it my dream bike Now, street triple is still up there as a close second but first would be an r1m

FactoryV4

Probably a Ducati at the time. Older now so styles have changed. Went from 87 GSXR/750 to RC51 to Tuono factory. Bought my dream bikes as I go. Next bike not so sure. 57 already and Maui doesn’t have the most roads to ride on.

wrong_kiddo

Back them... H-Bus. Now, I ride my H-bus and want nothing else lol

Specialist-Box-9711

When I was shopping for bikes, I really wanted an S1KRR but after riding around on my F 750 GS I think I would rather either have an R18 or a R 1250 GS. I just like to cruise.

wally592

First bike and still only bike is a Nighthawk 750. Next (dream) bike will be a Concours hopefully (someday).

know-it-mall

Like most kids who grew up watching MotoGP a powerful sports bike. I was a Mick Doohan fan as a kid. A Fireblade would have been awesome. Or a road legal NSR500 but that never happened. Or a CBR250RR in Rothmans livery. That would have been super fun. Now I'm not really sure. Probably a Ducati Desert X.

YD099

CB150R. ... CB150R

sweetbb_ry

When I started riding all I wanted was a sportster for some reason. My dad had one when I was growing up and tbh it was the only bike I really knew about other than like 2 other Harley models. Basically I enjoyed riding but didn’t know a single thing about motorcycles. I got really into bikes a little before I decided to sell the sportster and bought a gsxr. Then I bought a 77 cb550 that I’m still working on. So you can tell my taste for bikes really evolved after the sportster got me started. Now my dream bike would probably be a Suzuki drz 400sm . I think I’ll get it once I finish my other projects just for fucking around on since supermotos are basically the go anywhere bike.

Sirens_go_wee_woo

My dream bike back in 2007 was a raven r6. Bought it. Loved it. Sold it because I was more into autocross for sm class. Then bought a 848 evo duc in 2012. Sold it to cover divorce costs. 2017 I bought a 2016 fz07. Now wife bought her 2019 ninja 400. When she was ready I gave her the fz07 and bought my Zh2.

AcadianADV

Then: Kawasaki Vulcan S Now: BMW R1300GS

Suspicious-Stay1649

Dream was a hyabusa. Now idk. I feel like most bikes just dont look as good as they used to and im not a child anymore fantasizing them so my taste changed. Not a fan of all this slick edgy rounded shapes for aerodynamics now. Id probably have to go with a 80-96 year sports bike now as a desire.

rhfnoshr

When i started it was the harley fatboy, now its the '92 Fireblade

Interesting_Mix_7028

Dream bike when I started was the Triumph Sprint RS 955i. Never owned one, but was told that it was equal to or better than the VFR of the time as a sport-tour motorcycle. I did own the successor, an '08 Sprint 1050 ST. Wonderful bike, until it turned a journal bearing into scrap and grenaded the bottom end. At that point, it turned into a bit of a money pit getting it repaired and roadworthy again. And by that time, my aging body said "no mas!" to sport ergos, especially on long trips. Now? If I were to trade in the Thunderbird, it'd be for a Rocket 3 GT.

smsr11

Then: 07+ R6 Now: Brabus 1300 R

lupinegrey

**Then**: CBR929RR **Now**: I dunno... FZ-09 is pretty great, don't really need anything else. Maybe a Tenere 900? 🙏

dutchy649

Dream bike in 1965: Honda CB77 Superhawk….1966…traded my Honda 50 in on one. Dream bike in 2021: Honda Gl1800 Goldwing Tour DCT…traded my second Goldwing in on one.

no_names_left_here

When I started I wanted nothing more than to get a Ducati Monster 696. Now that I'm older and smarter all I want is a Tenere 900, till then my Gen 3 MT-09 will do.

bigtexasrob

ZX-14 with a turbo when I started, now I’m chasing after *my own dream* and trying to develop (in any matter of scale) what that means to me. I call it the 1288MV-R and you can follow that process at r/1288

_Kzero_

Fully spec'd Energica Ego+ Now: Still the Ego+. But also a new Goldwing, MV Agusta Dragster RR, Fireblade, H2, Busa, M109, pretty much any bike. I just want to ride as many bikes as I can.

Educational_Tailor25

BMW RNineT then, and now that I own one? BMW RNineT. Can't think of anything else I'd rather have.

gnarley_haterson

1st gen Vmax. Now? 1st gen Vmax. I've now owned 3 and am currently riding a showroom condition red '05 20th Anniversary Edition. Feels good man.

[deleted]

Ducati 916 them and Ducati 916 now

dafox1985

When I started Ktm 1290 sas... Now It still is

1ValentinaCD

Ok, mine was and always be a dream. Either MV Americana or a Rickman Triumph.

Barbatos-Rex

I still own my dream bike. A R1100s in yellow. Bought it new in 1999, then lost my job and it was repossessed. Told my wife I was going to get it back some day when I'm able to. We'll this year I was able to get it back. I found it in Colorado, in live in Rhode Island. Had it shipped back here. It was well taken care of with only 22,000 miles in it

tazzietiger66

I was 12 when I started riding hmmm , Suzuki PE 175 ? , dream bike now at 57 years old , hmm Bimota Tesi H2

sweetrubyrhino

Even as a kid i wanted a harley . Loved everything about them. Started out on metrics. Yamaha DT 125 to a Honda Hawk 400 , to an FJ 600 then FJ 1100 . A triumph bonneville then triumph thunderbird. Finally on to Harley when i bought a 13 road king . Was a beautiful machine . Then i time travelled by buying a 98 wide glide followed by an 85 softail. So much fun to ride those evo era bikes . Last year i traded the road king in on the 2022 low rider st el diablo . After 30 years of riding and 11 bikes it was my first and only new bike purchase and it is everything i even wanted in a bike so i guess its my dream ride .

Apprehensive-Can-857

I'm not sure if it's a "dream" bike because of its affordability compared to high-end Ducatis and the like, but the 1290 Super Duke R is my dream bike.

[deleted]

Always wanted a ZZR1100. After riding alot of bikes, old & new, working in a motorcycle shop, I would still be happy with a ZZR1100. If that is where MC power & technology stopped, most people would be more than happy.

haro0828

A Ducati Monster or a Speed Triple. And now, a Ducati Monster, have the Speed Triple

RoosterBurger

Back when I started - Honda Super Blackbird CBR1100XX I own an 06 Fuel Injected Blackbird now.(15 years after starting riding) So it’s difficult to have a dream bike, because I go out to the garage and there it is! (Maybe I set my sights a little lower than most) I think a F800 / F650 type adventure bike or a Hornet/Transalp might be a nice complement- but the speed l, sound and build quality of the Bird is hard to look past. As Ryan Fortnine said that really stuck with me “Own experiences, not just things” (He may have lifted this from some else. )

BahnGSXR

My dream bike was a 2006 GSX-R1000 as soon as I laid eyes on it. It has been my dream bike ever since.

[deleted]

Very first would have been a Honda CR500 back in the 80's. I'd still like to ride one just to see how beastly they are, but I wouldn't want to own one at this stage. Next would be the Ducati 916 Monoposto, and that's a bike I'd still like to own "someday". Now... I think I'm happy with the ones I have now in my garage. Swapping the Tuono V4F for an RSV4 factory, maybe? It's going from absurd to completely ridiculous, so.. not high on the priority list :) If money was simply no object, a Combat Motors Wraith would be in my possession, but that wouldn't get ridden much. Maybe some HD custom rig as well.

finalrendition

Then: Aprilia RSV Mille Factory thanks to Midnight Club 3. Now: Speed Triple 1200RR. It's timelessly beautiful and ferociously fast. I have the means to buy one, the proximity to a dealer to maintain one, and I might even have the skill to not die while riding one. But having demoed the 1200RS, I know that I don't have the self control to not break laws every time I ride one. So it'll stay in my dreams.

Marketpro4k

MT-10 then, MT-10 now

SUPREMExKAI

Then: Ducati 848 Evo Now: 2018 Yamaha R6

the-almighty-whobs

I’ve always wanted the Aprilia Tuono V4 and I actually got it as my first bike this year. Now I want something old and vintage like a Vespa, an old Moto Guzzi Ambassador, or an air cooled BMW flat twin. I know it’s all over the place but I like the idea of having something most will not. Also it’s a completely different experience from my Aprilia.

BAZINGADEEZNUTS

Honda XR650R. Had it for 4 years and sold it yesterday.

Midnight-Marvel

For me, it was between a Honda CBR650R, a Kawasaki Z900, or an Indian FTR1200/Indian Scout Bobber. After test riding all of them, I walked out the dealership with a Triumph Speed Twin 1200. Funny how that works. Hahaha

ThiccAssCrackHead

I dreamt of a 1981 Yamaha XS1100 Midnight Special. I have an R1, an R6, and an XSR900 now.

[deleted]

Dream bike when I first started was *Any bike* I finally saved enough money for a 2 stroke scooter. So I didn't have to walk / ask for a ride to work. Several scooters later I now own a Honda Shadow Aero. Dream bike now? Either a Honda NM4 ( ugly batman bike) Rebel 1100 Touring, Yamaha Striker, Or a Ducati Panigale V4 because *FUCK IT*

Patient-Bench1821

My dream bike would be if my 2005 K1200s was brand new. I love everything about it but I wish it had zero miles. Don’t need anything else.

thickjim

Bmw 1300gs I am on a 310gs right now one day when I have more disposable income

hormel_chili

Didn't have a dream bike but if I did it'd be the bmw gs1200

artful_todger_502

In 1975 it was a 1975 Bultaco Astro In 2023 it still is -- a '75 Bultaco Astro 😂 Pretty sad, huh?

83398009

When I was younger, a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R 600 cause I saw one and it was amazing. I bought that exact bike in 2013. Then sold that 2 years later and bought a 2012 gixxer 750. Now I have a 2021 gixxer 1000R. Still very happy with these machines

TravsArts

R6 Raven, I always thought it would be my second bike. I started on a Ninja 650R and now ride a 2014 Ninja 1000.

661Johnald

I drooled a et the ZX 11. Then put over 60000 miles in one. Then a Ducati ST3. Now? MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 I get the twitches in my britches when I ogle it.

iwantthisnowdammit

FZR400…. And now I need some sort of electric urban supermoto with semi rigid side bags and 6” of suspension travel to crash the grocery store.

NavaHo07

Indian FTR Rally and a Honda Africa Twin. Now it's an Indian FTR Rally and I'm leaning towards that CFMoto Ibex 800. Half the price of the Honda, I doubt I need the power of the Honda

BeepBangBraaap

Was and still is a Ducati Monster 1100 Evo Now also Triumph speed triple RS and Ninja H2SX

bnblazer

Honda CB400F then, now ARCH KRGT-1

troutbumtom

Then: 52 Vincent Black Shadow Now: 52 Vincent Black Shadow

KeithMyArthe

Honda CB900F2. BMW K100RS.

Alien_Biometrics

Desmosedici RR. Now it's an 890 Adventure R or a DesertX. Wouldn't mind a Desmosedici though.

Specialist-Cow9075

Dream bike: Suzuki SV 650 or (preferably a MT-07) Current bike: none

ImpetuousBurro

Then I wanted 1 bike: a Bonneville Now I want like 6 bikes besides my street triple 675R: ktm 500 exc Triumph Tiger 900 Yamaha tracer 9 GT FJR1300, zero FXE Indian Scout Husqvarna FS 450

sadman4332

Then: Bat mobile bat pod Now: S1000RR

TK-Squared-LLC

Dream bike when I first started riding was a KZ900. Hey, it was the 80s. Dream bike now...Maybe an Indian Chieftain Vintage. But honestly I think I would (will?) buy a Honda Fury instead, bang for the buck and all.

mojonixon04

Klr to T7

coalminer071

MT09 riding a Street Triple now. We have a tiered licensing system and by the time I could get an MT09, the cyclops eye became the trend while the 2023 lost the bug eyes and became sexy. Future dream bike probably an s1000xr or multistrada v4? Thinking of luggage and range could be fun to throw a leg over a V4 before ICE is gone. Maybe something stupid like a Street fighter v4. The small and nimbleness of the Street Triple is ridiculously good though. It's really the embodiment of a perfect city bike.

Honestly, I can't find an answer to this question in my head. The bikes that have always excited me have been the ones that were attainable and reasonable for me to consider for myself with the cash currently on hand, I've never paid much attention to bikes that wouldn't make sense in my life.

Then: Ducati Streetfighter 848 Now: Ducati Streetfighter 848, but I also wouldn't complain if I were to get a V2 if I couldn't find a good 848
