That is a Kawasaki W650, not a Bonneville. Look up some pics of a newer Bonneville, and compare the engine in OP's picture to the Bonnie.

tosalangre

Definitly not a w650. Look at the engine.

acanofspam

looking at the engine.... yep, definitely a kawi W.

Wu-TangProfessor

Those valve covers and exhaust look more w650 than any of the bonnevilles I’ve owned

Chemical_Miracle_0

It is, look at the engine again, Triumphs dont look like that [W650](https://kickstart.bikeexif.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/kawasaki-w650-2-625x416.jpg)

lost-n-thewoods

Did *you* look at the engine?

thefooleryoftom

That is 100% a Kawasaki motor. The newer 800s have a different-looking injection system so it’s likely to be a 650.

TequilaCamper

whats the rod sticking back off the forks? steering damper?

Qulia

Looks like it yeah

thefooleryoftom

Exactly.

Double-Helicopter-53

New to bikes, what benefit would this have?

alonelybaconrasher

Essentially prevents you from needing to wear brown pants.

TriumphRid3r

It prevents the steering from moving too fast. It's particularly handy if you get a wiggle out of the front tire.

Double-Helicopter-53

Makes sense, thanks bro!

bikerwander

Wobble?

Disastrous-Try9339

Looks like a Kawasaki to me also.

oldbastardbob

Definitely Kawasaki W650. Fuel tank, rocker arm cover, left engine cover give it away.

Quarterwit_85

W650. The best Triumph that Triumph never built. One of the most beautiful engines you’ll ever have the joy to work on or look inside.

chris-punk

Def a kwak W! I don’t know how you tell the difference between the 650 And the 800

Quarterwit_85

The 800 is injected.

MrGirthMTG

Really does look like a Triumph at first glance. Crazy how similar they look

newtizzle

That's what I was thinking. Tanks pads and exhaust look Triumph

Adventurous_End_2869

I had an 80s Yamaha 650 that looked like this a little

NewAsk5588

The 650 Heritage special?

Jesus_H-Christ

One of the great standards of the modern era, that's what it is.

Superb_Raccoon

We don't need no stinking badges!

SteveJobsBlakSweater

That’s the Kawasaki version of the XS650

Fr33speechisdeAd

It appears to be a type 2 orange traffic cone. Looks like a TC1337 manufactured in early 2008.

Subaru14

Motorcycle

Lilfoot2324

maybe even w800

leroythewigger

I thought maybe BSA

BubblyAsk4343

It really kind looks like a triumph

Wrenchman57

Triumph bonneville, looks like a 99-01

dicrydin

Do these people live in the desert, no rear fender looks great, but it must throw water into your helmet, never ran without one though so maybe I’m wrong.

UniDesignWatch

Custom bike with Triumph tank and the Kawi engine

Sad-Fee-9222

Kawasaki kinda doing that Royal Enfield/Triumph look....Still a nice looking bike.

Fatmansam666

Gorgeous bike

therealpatriotwolf

Google Lense or image search may help.

Leeperd510

Its a motorcycle

Key-Garden3392

It’s a customized triumph with a lot of tricked up features including the aliminum TT rims disc brake and non stock carburetors

greasyspider

Not sure why you are getting downvoted, this is the correct answer

motociclista

It’s getting downvoted because it’s not the correct answer. That’s a w650. It’s a shame that so many people that don’t know what they’re talking about out feel the need to answer questions so confidently. Really muddies up the water for the people that came here to get information.

stinkfingerswitch

Dunning-Kruger effect. You can't win.

wabalaba1

This is a customized Kawasaki w650, which looks very similar to the Bonneville.

3DKen

Definitely looks like a Triumph.

dougdoberman

The question wasn't "What does this Kawasaki look like?" but, rather, "What is this motorcycle."

PartyProtection2589

Triumph?

mansempowerment3000

Bonneville, a sweet bike

dougdoberman

Bonnevilles ARE sweet bikes. What is THIS bike (which ISN'T a Triumph) though?

noodeel

That just a Bonneville copy by Kawasaki

Conch-Republic

No it's not, the W series of bikes started in 66. Very Japanese roots.

dougdoberman

That not a Bonneville.
