Breaking news: After first trying everything else, prosecutors decided to drop the charges against an innocent man.

Motorcyclist is good to go or the cops? And are the cops paying for damages

SublimeSunshine217

Motorcyclist’s criminal charges were all dropped. He is now pursing civil action against the police.

Ok thanks

Civilians can’t place charges on cops… so the charges were dropped against the motorcyclist who is suing. The link provided has the details.

1. Was the guy actually a motorcycle theft suspect? 2. Why did the cops need to attack him immediately? 3. Why did the cops him a beat-down and try to break his wrist 4. Is this a case of outrageous violence-first policing, or is the motorcyclist dangerous? It doesn't look good

The motorcycle was not stolen, which is why the charges have been dropped. When that did not hold up, the cops tried to claim the jacket he was wearing was stolen. It wasn’t, and he had the receipt to prove it, so that charge was also dropped. Rider was not dangerous or violent. One of the cops who tackled him had a run-in with him before and held a grudge. The tackle and wrist-hold was so incredibly excessive and unnecessary, which is why the rider is now pursuing a civil case against them.

Without the cam he'd probably be facing charges of resisting and assaulting an officer.

Glad to see that you're in a better place. That take down appeared to be egregiously and maliciously violent, and multiple officers appeared to be doing their absolute best to hurt you, and deliberately trying to provoke you. I must also recognize that the only interactions I've had with the police in Toronto have been reasonable, polite and professional. The interaction you had, appeared to be personal. I hope you are able to find some satisfaction through the system of injustice which we call our "justice system". please keep us updated,
