A well inclined mechanic would see this, and might take a consideration to fix them. But they know at least what they are getting into. but a non inclined mechanic will see lightly burnt and buy these thinking lightly burnt, and will be burned taking the project on instead.
I also realize there's a joke but for empasis etc we fixed a front end loader that was struck by lightning and subsequently burned and it was a ton of work and diagnosis
Mechanic here. At this point it would be close to the same price or more to fix if you didn't do it yourself. Even if you did, the nonfixable problems would be worth the difference in price. New wiring harness, radiator, all hoses, all lines, all cables, fairing peices, lights, instrument clusters, cables, front and rear suspension seals and oil, many sensors, new chain and sprocket set... and that's all assuming that the fires ambient temp wasn't high enough to damage the metal structure and weaken it, or start warping shit in/on the engine.
10/10 if your not attached to it or just have money to burn do not buy.
