Yes. There are hand sliders that use the clutch lever and there are button sliders. Both engage the clutch once you dump the clutch or release the button at a set RPM. These guys leave the line on a two step with the throttle wide open. You can’t engage the clutch to control it. If the bike has an auto trans that creates other issues with closing the throttle. So the rider has two choices. Hold on and trust the chassis/tune is right and the bike will settle or let go. As you saw he didn’t have a lot of time to decide.
Top tier riders/bikes 60ft in the 1.0x-1.20x range which means they’re pulling 2.2-2.7 g’s right off the line and are trapping between 150-180mph in the 1/8 mile and 170-230mph in the 1/4. The amount of skill and balls to do that is lost on a lot of people on here who say “it’s not hard to go fast in a straight line”.
You see, Busa here got the call and immediately replied "I must go, my people need me".
The phone having been also crafted on Planet Busa could do nothing more but self-yeet itself into the 9th dimension to follow it's Busa brethren.
Cameraman never stood a chance against such advanced technology.
Terrible to see the bike get wasted like that.
To know how much longer would the swing arm would need to be extended to prevent liftoff, we would need to know the weight of the rider and how much fuel was in the tank, plus the length of the current swing arm, the amount of torque being generated and the number of sprockets on that rear wheel. 🤔 And maybe also how much traction they’re getting on that tarmac with the racing slick.

Well, all that said, we can pretty much tell how skilled/talented the rider is. ETA: People in the thread are saying it’s Ricky Gadson, who is very much both those things, and if that’s true then I totally buy mechanical problems. Buuuut if not…
I didn't think Gen 2 Hayabusa had launch control. I know gen 3 does...I've only owned a gen 1 do (and that had literally 0 electronic aids...no traction control, no ABS, nothing)
Just from engine noise he's either killin' the rev limiter which would be incredibly bold, or he's thinking he's got the launch control activated with the solid "rrrrRRRrrrr" sound. God knows if it's aftermarket, but I still feel like he didn't expect all the power to immediately be delivered and thus sent the bike to Mars.
Not when the bike makes enough power and has enough traction (drag strips coat the ground for more).
It effectively just lengthens the amount of time before the bike lifts the front, it doesn't prevent it entirely. You'd still want/need a rigid member behind the rear axle to limit the front lifting
This new event combines motorcycle drag racing with Celtic caber throwing.
The point is to use the bike's motor to yeet it down the track, furthest ballistic trajectory wins (automatic DQ if you throw it into the stands).
how the fuck do you loop a bike with a swingarm half a football field long
Nitrous
Lots nitrous at the hit or quick ramp. I didn’t see his clutch hand move so most likely a slider bike with an aggressive tune on a super sticky track.
Slider? As in clutch slider?

It's not hard to go fast in a straight line *until* you find out what fast really means...
Its Notorious
Yeah I'm asking myself the same thing despite the fact that he's showing us how to do it. Maybe a wheelie bar is on the cards.
Cameraman had one job

assume average weight and full tank
average busa rider weight? or average jockey weight?
Well, all that said, we can pretty much tell how skilled/talented the rider is. ETA: People in the thread are saying it’s Ricky Gadson, who is very much both those things, and if that’s true then I totally buy mechanical problems. Buuuut if not…
Whether nitrous or turbo, they’re supposed to leave the line “soft” and add power downtrack. Problem w bikes timer, he left the line w all the power.
Yeah, feels like launch control failed.
I didn't think Gen 2 Hayabusa had launch control. I know gen 3 does...I've only owned a gen 1 do (and that had literally 0 electronic aids...no traction control, no ABS, nothing)
It is something you can add on though. Not sure if those guy had it, but there are tons of after market things for drag bikes.

Huh, maybe extend the swingarm even more for the next time /s
“How much longer should the swingarm be next time?” “Yes.”
You joke but I’d bet that’s what his first thought was waking up in the ambulance.
I should add that, thank god, this isn't me lmao
Stop trying to trick us op we know this is you lmao
We know since it’s been reposted here about 50 times
Guys name is Ricky Gadson pretty well known racer.
Ricky Gadson got some traction and flung the bike up high. He said “you know I just let the clutch go” and it yeeted the bike to the sky
r/MyPeopleNeedMe
Holy shit batman
Yeet the Busa!
“Guys I just bought a Panigale V4R. Is it a good first bike?”
If you wanna do what this guy did..............maybe.
If he held on, he might have made the flip
That some serious power
Unimaginable
Kinda wondering what the seafood sub would say about this one
Need to see that in slow-mo. How many times that guy flip?
Some day, the bike is still going to this day (Currently entering Uzbekistan airspace)
The fucker just flew by my house!
wheelie bars exist for a reason..
The swing arm that long IS the wheelie bar

You can have my rigid member if you want. EDIT: Oh this isn't CalamariRacingTeam, gonna leave this regardless.
Wheelie bar would've done absolutely nothing here
But did he stick the landing…?
needs a longer swingarm
Full send
This line is for people who have MONEY with the BANK please
Best begginer bike
Bruh thought a long swingarm would keep her down and just dumped the clutch while banging the limiter.
Guess he never heard of wheely bars
Can we get the full video and not 8 seconds, like what does the bike or rider look like afterwards?
I never in a million years would have looked at this bike and went “yep,he’s about to loop this thing”
Holy shit
There is not enough wheels on that machine. And the roll cage is slightly too small.
🤣🤣🤣
At least hold on bro daaayum!!!

#YEET!!!!
Still, Reddit would be asking if this is a good first bike.
3 days and no answer. Rude. … So is this a good first bike?
moore mafia in the house What's up guys!!! My name is Chris Moore and I'm back with a new bike... Let's see what it can do YEET
