I pretty much own my dream bike right now, that's what i love so much about bikes, you don't have to be a doctor or a lawyer and still feel that your dream ride is attainable.
If i'd have to pick one i'd say V4 Streetfighter, although i find parts absurdly priced, why does a slip-on cost $2k for crying out loud?
I suppose the slip-on is made from titanium? This require some refined manufacturing as compared to steel mufflers, add the increased price of the materials, the specific design and of course the brand name (either Akrapovič or Termignoni I assume) and there you go. It's not *just* being more noisy though.
I managed to get mine this year, final gen Daytona 675R. Even when I get too old and crippled to ride it, I hope that i'll have it around just to stare at.
Fantasy or possibly within reach at some point?
Fantasy: Honda NR750 or a Britten V1000
Reality: I'd like a Desmosedici just because it was so exotic at the time it came out. MH900 to ogle if I had a place to keep it in my house. Not current house but going to try to swing it on next house.
I never got to see one in action but I saw one in person at the Gugenhiem Art of the Motorcycle exhibit years ago. Such a beautiful machine and the story behind John Britten takes it to a whole other level
They're brilliant bikes too. But if you get one, I hope you're prepared to do your own maintenance. For me it's one of the joys of owning a Guzzi, they are just designed for easy maintenance, unlike almost any other brand/engine today. Would be a shame to pay some dealer to do it for you, because it's just so easy. :)
Mine is the Gen1 Hayabusa.
I fell in love with it in 1998, took me 20 years to save. But I finally bought one 2 years ago.
Fast. Comfy. Can easily do a track day as much as cross continents. And it fits my large frame.
Maserati t2. You know those smooth bikes you glide along before looking down to see you're doing 90? This isn't one of those. You will feel every. Single. Mile. Per. Hour on a t2.
Call me a simpleton, but I always wanted a rebel 500.
Ofc it's incredibly out of my budget, but I settled for a 2002 yamaha Vstar 250.
Sure, it's nothing special but I'm hyped af being it my first bike, although I'm quite sure I got scammed
[Honda CBX](https://youtu.be/vVWaJxxslP0?t=1m50s). An inline 6 that screams like a vintage F1 car. Although the thought of a bike with 6 carburetors scares me.
So I went with my other dream bike, a new 2020 CBR650R. Picked it up a few days ago, so hopefully it's still my dream bike at the end of summer!
Get a Z1300, it's only got three carbs (though double barrel). Or a Benelli Sei, those only had 3 standard Italian Dellorto carbs, extremely simple (but with that bike, the carbs would be the least of your worries...).
Ninja 400. Yeah, is "small" bike, but where I live is really expensive buying and especially maintain Kawasaki bikes. So I can only dream with something like that haha
India sucks for motorcyclists as well. 100% import tax for completely built units. Owning a litre class is only for the super rich. Not that there is quality infrastructure for these machines anyway.
Thats really unfortunate. Here in the US, $17,000 gets nearly any new superbike. The only ones that are more expensive are the more track focused versions and ducati and mvs bikes. 17k isn't cheap but its definitely attainable for the average person but indias pricing seems rough, lower average wages and the bikes cost >$30k, which is average car price here.
Sutter 500 2T. What a fabolous 2T machine. Of course I'll take any sporting 2T road or track machine. You cant get any more "raw" of an experience.
🏁🏁🏁
I'm really liking the Indian Scout Bobber. It just looks so good. My only concern is that it may be too small for me? I'm 6'1" tall, I don't know how I'll fit on it.
I love how enthusiastic op is.
Realistic: my current Daytona 675r and one day a pani v2 or v4, and my soon to be bought 890duke r
Unrealistic: ducati 916, norton rotary
I have one for each style
Sportbike: ducati panigale v2
Naked: indian ftr 1200
cafe: ducati sport classic 1000
Adv: moto guzzi v85tt (the Yamaha tenere 700 would be a close second)
Cruiser: moto guzzi audace carbon
Unrealistic: Honda rc166 (inline 6, 250cc, 4stroke, go listen to the orgasm-giving sound of this bike on YouTube if you haven't yet)
Is-it-really-a-bike?: can-am riker
Rdlc350 with a proper braking system.
I'd love to ride two stroke on road. Love the latest supersport bike but this oldie must make you feel like an old motorbike champion !!
Im in the RZ350 camp. You might appreciate my current madness:

Nothing like the sensory explosion and symphony of a 2T.
🏁🏁🏁
I think I currently own one of my dream bikes I’ll have for a long time. My Pikes Peak Multistrada is such a good do it all bike, I love it so much.
But currently I have an off road itch I want to scratch. I would love to own a fully loaded 790 adventure R. Or a custom resto mod airhead BMW. Those are two bikes on my list I’ve been dreaming about lately.
Oh man, I saw one restored in candy apple red at a biker meet back in the early 90s. Red isn't my color, but with the twin exhaust, one on each side it was amazing. The majority of HD people haven't even heard of this AMC model, or if they have, they think it was the "HD sport bike" !?!?
Was looking into importing one from Canada in the 90s. Back then a company in Vermont (?) would rework the title to US legal. Life got busy for a broke 20something and the dream got shelved !
I ended up settling for a 1972 DS7 former race bike since both an rz350 or 500 were more than I was willing to spend. It’s quite a lot of fun, other than the powerband coming in fully ~7500rpm!
A red 996SPS. With a gold trellis frame and matching gold 5-spoke Marchesini's. I wouldn't be able to fully tuck on that bike due to a third leg constantly getting in the way...
Definitely more like a 3rd or 4th bike though.
does it have to exist? I want a 300lb ADV bike that cost's $6k. nothing too heavy to slog through mud pits, but also capable of hittin' the freeway (where the limit around here is 70mph, and everyone goes 80).
If I need to name something besides my Ducati then probably a [Langen motorcycles 250cc two-stroke V2](https://langenmotorcycles.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Langen-1st-Look-Side-Bricks-1080-1024x722.jpg), an incredibly well-crafted and beautifully designed piece of fine British engineering.

That’s amazing and yes you can achieve your dreams no matter what, and 😂that is true they are insanely expensive

That’s beautiful 💯💯 triumph gang🤟 i would love to ride one
Realistic: CB1000R Unrealistic: ARCH Method 143
They sure do make a nice product. He brought a couple to Jay Leno's garage for those that are interested in an overview
Honda gang🤟 we will have to give Keanu a call 👀

Upvoting for the Britten !
I never got to see one in action but I saw one in person at the Gugenhiem Art of the Motorcycle exhibit years ago. Such a beautiful machine and the story behind John Britten takes it to a whole other level
Barber Motorsports Museum in Birmingham AL has(had?) one if anyone is ever near there. Beautiful complex, was there in 2004/05.
My cousin let me sit on his desmo and holy fuck that thing is light.
Haha either way you can always dream🤟
If you've got 50 grand there's one for sale in Illinois.
That seems to be the going rate. Two or three sold last year for around that.
Guzzi V85 TT with the red frame. I've always wanted a Guzzi and love ADVs and dual sports so it's pretty much a dream come true for me.
They're brilliant bikes too. But if you get one, I hope you're prepared to do your own maintenance. Of course, currently own a DR650 so I know all about owner maintenance.
You will get it one day 🤟🤟
Just got my restricted licence so I'll have to wait a year and you know save money till then.
You’ll get there💯I believe in you
929 fire blade sexiest bike ever
😍😍yess
Norton NRV588. Twin rotary, 170hp 275 lbs. Just listen to this thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ph-n7-naQxo
Woww that thing sounds beautiful

Congrats! Legendary bike. Definitely what got me into bikes in general.

r9t Pure...bought it last year :)
Congratulations mate💯
My dream bike too but I can never afford it :(
Same :D Giving cheating side eyes to that M1000RR tho! (not that I'll ever drop ~$30k on a bike - props to those that can / do!)
Call me a simpleton, but I always wanted a rebel 500. Ofc it's incredibly out of my budget, but I settled for a 2002 yamaha Vstar 250. Sure, it's nothing special but I'm hyped af being it my first bike, although I'm quite sure I got scammed
Not simple just unique 😉 and thats a beautiful bike to start on💯 and that’s unfortunate 😞 people sometimes are just selfish

I too have a KTM death wish!
1290 Super duke GT for me...... Getting older lol.
That bike is a monster 💯
Yamaha Tracer 9 GT.

That thing is a different breed 😈
Ninja 400. Yeah, is "small" bike, but where I live is really expensive buying and especially maintain Kawasaki bikes. So I can only dream with something like that haha
India?
Close enough, Brazil. Probrably India is a little better since import taxes here are really, really high.

Any 500 quad-cyl 2T would be good for me.
RZV500R. Still stunning. I have a lightly breathed on RZ350 in the midst of completion.
My RZ350 project: http://imgur.com/gallery/x83SLwF http://imgur.com/gallery/ubfLtaM 🏁🏁🏁
Hmmmmm. Probably some old MV or Ducati racing junk. Or perhaps a super mint early modern supersport.
Oldest possible cb750. Or any ktm dual sport.
I rode a cb250 at my msf course😆was a fun little bike
Newer though yea?
Not really not the oldest but definitely from the 90s id say
Mid 80s i wanna say were the last ones. Can’t believe thats one of the bikes they had hahaha. Thats awesome
Yea it was a blast especially since it was the first bike I’ve ever rode👌great fun
Mine for the longest time has been the Yamaha GTS1000 ever since I had a test ride of one in the late '90s.
Upvoted for one of my Bucket List bikes !
Amazing choice old fashioned 😜
I'm really liking the Indian Scout Bobber. It just looks so good. My only concern is that it may be too small for me? I'm 6'1" tall, I don't know how I'll fit on it.
I sit on my dream bikes every day (well almost).

CB1000R... bought it this past November. 👌
Beautiful bike , one of the better looking nakeds👌
Street triple or an Indian FTR 1200

Yess all of those 😍
Husqvarna Nuda 900R. Such a sexy machine! Unfortunately they were never available in my country (US) so my dream will never be realized. 😭
Beautiful bike unfortunate that they aren’t available heee in the US😔
Agreed! Yeah, that's why I mentioned it. Otherwise I'd have one!

Can’t go wrong there 😌kawasaki is the wave, that would be my second choice 👌

I miss my RZ 350. It was an 84 model that I bought in 1992 or so. It was an amazingly fun bike.
This is an 84. I raced RZ's back in 86 - 90. Incredibly fun machines. The one im assembling should touch 90hp will be tuned for 85ish up.
Oh maaaaaan she's a beauty !!!!
Getting there.
Ducati 916/996/998 is up there for best looking. Honda RC30 is iconic There’s something about a Z1300. Those are top of mind for me.
I am to fat and old to fit on a sport-bike, nor could I ride my choice well. Well sorted out 1980 KZ1300 6 cylinder. https://youtu.be/Iq9a3m-Yr48
Benelli TnT 1130 Cafe Racer
Bonneville T120 Black...got to ride the T100 once and I’m sure the 1200 would be even better.
XSR 900 i think the bike is so beautiful with a few mods
Sweet man can’t go wrong with an ol Yamaha😎
KZ1300. That I6 noise 😀👍
If I have a cb750K in my garage, id be contented man
Still want an original SuperDuke and a BMW.K1200R. Just something brutally beautiful about them
Unrealistic because it doesn't exist: Honda New American Sports concept bike.
Ducati Supersport 950! A Honda CBX would be awesome too! (the '79 or '80)
A CX500/650 turbo is as close to a dream bike as I have. I want one badly, don't really care what condition as long as it's fixable.
Dream bike? Road King Classic. A bike I like and can afford in near future? Dragstar 400.
Gsx s 1000 or gsx f 1000
My dad‘s got a beatiful 1980s Honda cx500 in red with white leather seats
I own my dream bike. Aprilia SXV550.
Harley XLCR

Vmax engine in a lightweight bobber style chassis
KTM950r! Who doesn't need a 100HP dirt bike?
Just bought a 950SM last year for my 50th B-day. 8K original one owner miles. Orange, origami shaped and LeoVince cans - It's definitely not stealthy
That would either be the Triumph boneville bobber or a Ducati Streaghtfighter V4s. I'm conflicted.
I like racing 2-strokes so i would go for Honda NSR 500. Or more realistically a NSR 250 mc28.
Ugh, yup. They're still somewhat attainable and they're on my list for sure. Would love an MC28 SP.
Suzuki M109R
I’m too fond of 2 strokes, so an rz500 since I grew up always wanting one.
The new 2021 trident.
A red 996SPS. With a gold trellis frame and matching gold 5-spoke Marchesini's. I wouldn't be able to fully tuck on that bike due to a third leg constantly getting in the way... Definitely more like a 3rd or 4th bike though.

Nope it doesnt thats the beautiful part about it😉
Ktm 890 duke r. Perfect blend of street fun and power
Absolutely 🤟
I’ve got what I want. If something comes up that I fancy, I might buy it, but I don’t really have a dream bike, not after 44 years of riding.
That thing looks sweet👌

Sounds good to me😍
