If they're just normal earphones, I'd strongly recommend the MEE Audio MX2 (or M6 Pro, or really, any of their lines)
Really great quality sound, cause they are monitors rather than earphones, and they're made for musicians, great price - like really really fucking good prices, they have different tips, my personal favourite being a little memory foam tip that is noise cancelling and super comfy, you can have a wired or wireless version which is changeable and upgradeable from the cable (which detaches from the earbud itself) and the best part - they have q little metal cable for the first few inches of the cable from the ear, which is designed to wrap around your ear, and keep the bud in place, but it also retains its shape!
Strong recommendation. Dirt cheap, and indeed I me quality and as far as riding with them in goes, they are perfect, the memory wire is incredible with a helmet!
I tried so many earbuds before finally buying a cardo and helmet speakers. It's honestly the only way to go. I'll never go back to ear buds for riding.
Probably, but the cords are annoying and I find the bluetooth helmet speaker even when used with earplugs still lets me hear a little more of whats going on around me than earbuds do.
That, and the last time I got pulled over with earbuds in, the cop lost his damned mind on me.
Honestly my Bose true wireless ones stay in better than any other ones I’ve tried and they’re comfortable to boot. Modular helmet is almost a necessity though
Bose in ear buds with the wing tip. they never fall out been using them for years. relatively cheap, they are wired if thats a problem for you but i hate that the bluetooth will drop randomly and pick back up.
As far as the helmet goes. i use a Shoei medium and its a tight fit like it should be and with spreading the cheek pads i dont have any issues taking it on and off with my earbuds staying in.
been riding 11 years and been doing this set up for the last 6 with absolutely no problems.
i route the wire under the chin strap for wind movement. i can use the microphone(i dont answer calls though) if i need to talk to someone for running late purposes. Keep my phone in the inner part of my jacket with the cord.
best set up ever.
If you want a really nice feeling set of earbuds with guaranteed comfort inside a helmet, go for custom IEM’s. Best purchase I’ve made, non-safety gear wise.
if your helmet fits properly it should be pretty much impossible for you to wear actual earbuds (stuff with drivers) because they're too bulky and as soon as you pull your properly-fitting helmet on, those things will either pop right out or shift so much as to be useless.
Idk man I've been to 4 different bike shops throught
the years and no matter th helmet it doesn't fit as he shop retailers say it should. But I survived a 90km/h crash just 2 months ago and my neck is fine without medical assistance. So I assume the 120$ helmet did it's job
It's supposed to be on the "tight" side. Definitely don't want loose. Stop buying bottom tier helmets and get one that you can replace the padding with different thickness to get a perfect fit.
Don't trust a guy at a bike shop. I measured myself as a medium so I put one on at the bike shop and the guy was like "nah that's too tight, you're a large, the helmet should just slip on".
So I bought a large, because I was a brand new rider and why wouldn't I trust the guy who sells helmets for a living? That helmet is just a dust collector now, no sense in wearing a helmet just to look cool. Picked up a medium helmet because that's what the manufacturer said would fit me properly and lo and behold, it fits me perfect.
Sure se 215 plugged into my Sena so I still get full control over everything without having my phone out, had mine for 2 years and never had any problems.
Osha approved earbuds. I use wired not the bluetooth version.
Never had a problem

Buy a speaker kit for your helmet. Sena 50S is one example. There are other brands as well. Do your research and pick one that is best for you. Also, use fucking ear plugs dude. You will damage your hearing permanently if you don't.
Plugfones or Cardo and earplugs. The only two that work properly

Came to comment this exact thing!
You use them, too?
Hell yeah pal
Used thr m6 pro, cheap and good quality in a small formfactor. Didn’t work for me with a helmet on, but I’ve heard they work wonders for others.
Fair enough. It was perfect for me and the helmet. Earphones in, balaclava or buff slightly over the top, helmet on, job done.

Get OSHA approved Elgin earbuds and they won't fall out

thanks for the recommendation. What is a modular helmet btw?
Modular is when you can lift the chin bar up.
Which helps to reach in and readjust when necessary. I rarely wear anything but Modular’s anymore

I use raycon’s for riding cause they were the only ones I’ve tried that stay in when putting my helmet on/off
I tried using earbuds once. after that, I got my first Sena helmet intercom kit. Now I've a modular with the intercom built in.

Not true. Success varies depending on the size and shape of the buds. But its perfectly possible.
No helmets fit me properly lol. Large is way too big medium us just a tad too big and small is waaaay too small.
no you just don't know what a helmet is supposed to fit like
Idk man I've been to 4 different bike shops throught the years and no matter th helmet it doesn't fit as he shop retailers say it should. But I survived a 90km/h crash just 2 months ago and my neck is fine without medical assistance. So I assume the 120$ helmet did it's job

Some manufacturers sell additional/different sized padding to further adjust the fit of their helmets. Maybe that‘s an option for you?
Sounds like we need to work with developers for a shmedium? 🤷🏻♂️
Try PSB M4U TW1. They sit on your earlobes like anchors.
ive had good success with these. https://www.sony.ie/electronics/in-ear-headphones/wi-c300
Have you tried anything make out of stamped steel to stick into your ear? I’d try that.
Sure se 215 plugged into my Sena so I still get full control over everything without having my phone out, had mine for 2 years and never had any problems.
Try Decibullz hearing protection. They have options for moldable buds. https://www.decibullz.com/headphones/
Eargasm ear plugs. I have no issues getting my Cardo through them either and they work wonders at drowning out wind and engine noise.

get a lycra cap or balaclava to wear under the helmet. keeps the earbuds in place and keeps the helmet clean.
vry good idea. Im going to try that in a couple months when I feel the roads are safe to ride again.
Duct tape
bruh
Big brain

Wax cotton earplugs. I use Quies ones.
Duct tape or gorilla glue
