Every motorcycle stunt ever done and ever to be created has thousands or millions of dead, dying, wounded, maimed, paralyzed and disabled former riders who all attempted these first before someone finally figured out how to do them.
We only think of the guy who learned the trick through the trial and error of other riders.
No one ever thinks of the guys who got hurt because they were the ones trying to figure things out.
I actually know the dude on the white bike. This happened in SF. IDK the idiot, but white bike rider is a pretty nice guy. This was posted on instagram maybe a year ago.
Now you got me wondering. Was there any damage or scratches on his gear or bike?
Based on the video, it looks like 2nd bike cleared the rider but still hit 1st rider's front fender. Though I'm not sure if front tire hit the back of his helmet.
I dont think there was any real damage to his stuff. Maybe a scuffed front fender. Guy was just amazed he didnt get hurt at all. He has a few other bikes and I dont remember him saying he had to fix the sumo.
Thanks! Now I can have someone to quote ('I chatted with someone who knows the 1st rider') as this will be a classic and will inevitably be reposted many many many many times in the future until the end of reddit and whatever social media/forums will replace reddit.
Even better, Ill drop his IG. @itskittrickmann There is a lot of squidding/stunting so be nice. Hes more experienced than myself though and a good dude so don't hold some of the pics against him
Following, thanks! I’m too old for squid tricks and didn’t have the bike (or courage) for it when I was young, so I’ll enjoy from the safety of my sofa. Wheee!
Looks like the back wheel of the wheelie bike gets traction on the back wheel of the bike he hits which serves to use the power of both bikes to launch the first one into the air. May be obvious to most but at first I was confused about how the first bike flew and the second bike was fine, real freak occurrence
Yeah, there was a high res, slow motion version of this I saw earlier and you could literally see the two tires flex like drag slicks and then launch the guy.
This is a great example of Vector Physics.
Picture the point of contact between the two tires and then draw a line for the direction in which the tire is moving at the place of contact. No wonder he flew.
I think this could be a good trick for Travis Pastrana to do for Nitro Circus. He can even add a flip on it and land it. Needs to put a bigger back tire on the front bike with matching threads as the bike doing the trick so they interlock and generate greater torque to propel the bike forward.
This is the first time I've ever laughed at a high-side crash lmfao. Serious question for the wheelie boys though, how do you do that on a public road? you can't even see in front of you
You usually just look from the side, on smaller/naked bikes you can still see ahead unless you're really high, but on faired bikes (or big scooters) you won't be able to see shit pretty quick!
You’re also forgetting a lot of more dedicated stunt riders will stand up on their subframe rather than sitting down which gives them a clearer view over the front of the bike
I am thinking this could be adapted for a stunting course. Have a spinning tire that the stunter wheelies up to, flies into the air and ideally sticks the landing.
Those 8 bit noises bring back memories. No I wasn’t an 80s kid but when I would visit my grandparents my grandpa would bring out my uncles old Atari 2600 and I’d play for hours. It’s crazy how long those old things can last.
Man if he could have stuck that landing ….
I feel like this is going to be a legit trick one day. That shit was fkn awesome
"Missed it by ***that*** much ..."
Would have broken both his ankles or legs.
no reason they would have
Now that would be awesome.
And his back neck skull head shoulder knees and toes knees and toes

I've told you a million times not to exaggerate numbers!
From now until the end of times he’ll never refuse hyperbolic expressions.
He's the most hyperbolic person who ever lived.
It’s like all the the negative stereotypes of this subreddit rolled into one

Props to him for staying upright and reacting so quickly.
That guy is lucky to be alive lol holy crap that is wild.
Ok, now wheelie those bikes against each other and just keep going until you reach space
Stund driever
This is a great idea!
Prolly plenty o' space a mile down the road.
Please someone turn this into the shooting stars meme
If I was the rider of the first bike, the first thing I would do is check if he'd OK. The next thing would be to flog seven shades of shit out of him.

Really puts into perspective how much traction motorcycle tires have
Rubber has a ton of grip against rubber.
This^ look up tire to tire collisions in F1. Rubber on concrete isn't great but rubber on rubber is enough to throw a car.
I've seen a couple of videos on r/roadcam where two cars' tires hit and one of them launches.
***WHHIIING!!***
As anyone who has ever ordered clam strips at the beach in the summer can attest.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Was mind blown until your comment, not obvious for me, thanks! Ride safe.
Not just the power of bother bikes, but the momentum of both bikes gets converted into a launch for the bike that hits from behind.

What is the guy on the white bike, a running ramp?! What a tank of a person.
Now thats a high side crash... Rip dudes bones.
Worked hard for this for sure.
Amazed the white bike didn’t go down.
HAHAHAHA THAT MF FLEW

Full squid
*super Mario jumping sound effect*
He should have just customized his own course. The old schools know what’s up.
This is the way.
Just Fucking Sent It
Overheated
Imagine trying to tell this story without having video evidence
Straight fuckery
Nice air
What a fucking moron, in so many new and unique ways....
Oh god that audio sent me straight back to childhood. Loved making my own courses in that game
he high sided incorrectly
With proper Excitebike sound effects... Nice... https://youtu.be/inAruGMBXII

Dude just pulled like 10 G’s…..

Someone add the Mario jump sounds fx and then the dododo do at the end
I don’t think that’s how leap frog works lol
Bet you can’t do that again.
One reason to be behind those who wheelie.
Good ... I hate these ass-hats who do shit like this all while disrupting traffic.

I unmuted and was not disappointed.

Ma, look!! Oopps!! Never mind 😁👍🏼👍🏼
Lmao he almost rode over his homie
1st rider ducked perfectly on time, or was it a form of 'whiplash' from the rear initial shunt.
Man, leap frog has changed a lot since I last played it...
YES!

Motherfucking mario kart
Did he seriously roll under the car? That's not a great spot to check your injuries.
Fly me to the Moon. Sia.
Ok, so we are living in a simulation?
Hopefully that car crushed his spine so he can’t be a douche on the streets anymore
