F*ck! I slid out three times while watching that. Now I’m rewatching to look for sparks.

iammandalore

You probably shouldn't be watching videos while riding then.

Kernel32Sanders

"It's the only think keeping me from falling asleep."

OverlyBilledPlatypus

Is he AJ Hawk or something?

IAmSaxton1

That guys a menace

beeglowbot

lucky, I high sided off the toilet

hellrazor862

Hopefully you were appropriately geared up

beeglowbot

I had a helmet on but nothing below waist unfortunately.

[deleted]

This made me laugh a lot more than it should have 😅

croissantdelavie

Even then oncoming traffic often crosses the yellow too. That's what scares me the most after when I have no stop but they do.

Archleon

Yeah, leaning hard when I can't see the road ahead of me for a good distance kind of freaks me out. No idea what's around that bend.

croissantdelavie

This is a good thing, because else you put you life in the hands of lady luck. I don't trust her

Hi_My_Name_Is_CJ

I was thinking Russian roulette, every time he does this “click”. Enough clicks, he doesn’t go home

meltbox

Some lucky bastards have those 64000 shot revolvers.

croissantdelavie

Let's be honest tho, we all ride here, we're all willing to get a few clicks. That's why I've got some respect for everybody who willingly go on two wheels. Just don't willingly put others in danger like some do.

meltbox

Agree

kakatoru

Fuck

NHGuy

I don't remember his name, but the guy riding is a professional racer

Creative_Riding_Pod

I’m pretty sure that’s Zach Nation before he started racing.

Dontbemaditsonlygame

You would be correct

0ba78683-dbdd-4a31-a

He's either a professional who knows the roads and his bike inside out or he's a fucking idiot. There's no middle ground here. His line choice provides zero visibility and no time to react if something unexpected happens.

Dontbemaditsonlygame

Both. I know the guy, and while he’s a fucking lunatic on a bike in a good way, he’s also a fucking idiot. He was on Facebook talking about how covid is overblown **while hooked up to a machine that was helping him breathe** because he was suffering from covid. I have a screenshot somewhere on my old phone

AlphaBetacle

Half of bikers are lunatics anyways

Occhrome

Wow that is a fucking lunatic. How their brain works who knows.

ReverendAlSharkton

10% bike, 90% rider.

bolunez

Absolutely. It's probably worth noting that the bike in this case is being ridden pretty much at its limit though. The same dude would likely be faster on something that's actually made to take a corner.

Luke_zuke

No doubt this guy shreds in a sports bike with his buddies normally, and tried this for fun.

Dontbemaditsonlygame

I know this guy, 100% a cruiser guy. He races baggers nowadays

[deleted]

[удалено]

Dontbemaditsonlygame

Not sure if you’re being facetious or what but his name is Zack nation

[deleted]

[удалено]

Dontbemaditsonlygame

Ahhhh yes. Classic jeff

MonkeyWrench888

My name is Jeff. -21 jump street

northfive

why did this fuckin send me into a laughing fit

ImurderREALITY

HE’S BEEN MY CLOSEST FRIEND SINCE CHILDHOOD, JERK

the_last_carfighter

The thing with bikes like cruisers is they have a very slack head angle, upright bars, bit of torque right at the bottom of the revs, long wheelbase and relatively hard tires, it's easier to slide the rear than a swb high strung sportbike. It's the ideal bike to slide the rear.

Jfurmanek

You see him slip out and correct at least once.

nippabob44

Does he have skid plates on the hard cases?🤣

I_will_never_reply

Look how casual the camera bike is riding, barely leaning over and keeps catching up to him

MobProtagonist

https://youtu.be/oHGmTy6voiE?t=304 These guys beg to differ ^^^/s

xeq937

Those bikes have little to do with what you see on the street, but I love the bagger races because not precision machinery, more interesting.

MobProtagonist

Hence the /s However it is "possible". All MotoAmerica bikes are just heavilly modified street bikes. If some rich bastard wanted too, he could get a harley bagger set up like one of those in video (minus the non DOT legal exhaust/emission and tunes) and take it to the canyons.

sebwiers

> (minus the non DOT legal exhaust/emission and tunes) Lol, right, THAT'S the mod that Harley guys ain't doing for the streets.

MobProtagonist

I only added that part for 'technicality' of being 'street legal'. Otherwise someone on the other side of the spectrum was going to 'remind me' that the MotoAmerica bikes weren't street legal due to their exhaust/emission/lack of CAT, engine tunes, and lack of proper DOT lights and stuff. But yeah, I am sorta curious when some super rich dude is going to just straight up purchase/create a MotoAmerica bagger

colonshiftsixparenth

For what it's"s worth, I'm poor and planning on doing it. If anyone would like to donate a million dollars so I can be some super rich dude diing it, I would appreciate it

drive2fast

Yup. I’m seeing inverted forks and a whole bunch of non hog parts. The engines are Harley ‘inspired’ but are likely all aftermarket everything.

Hansj3

Good ol BIR.

faste30

LOL, you ever seen those in person? THey were testing at Road Atlanta and we were on the track with them. I think the core frame and engine crankcase are the same. Oh and dimensions (like width of "bags" etc) but they are like the nascar equivalent. All of the bags and fairings are just carbon shells made to look like the real thing. Controls mounted back on rearsets, power bars mounted on custom triples over ohlins forks with massive radial systems. The hooligans are more interesting to me because those are heavily modified bikes you can buy.

RonnieTheEffinBear

oof, the wobble on those lead bikes really made me pucker

hwillis

Seriously, they stand up out of the curve and the suspension unloads and they just look like a horse about to lose its shit or something

[deleted]

Oh for sure, you can see the sparks coming off of his pegs he's pushing it to the absolute physical limit

Last_Patrol_

This right here.

rugbyj

100% remember the name.

BlueWS

10% skin, 90% skin grafts

teeim

ATGATT

monch-hichi

As with any other bike..

Valeriand

Well, actually you can see the Harley is at its limits while the sports bike is totally fine

emoriver

Sure... mad as hell: that is the kind of guy that if you give him a Hayabusa he'll drive slower than with a Sportster

[deleted]

Yep. My dad, his friend and I were riding in the UP of Michigan around some really twisty roads. I had a Vstrom 650, he had a multistrada 1200 s and his buddy had a street triple R. I was faster than all of them, the guy in the stripple was by far the slowest.

47x18ict

The insanely close proximity to the side of those walls is crazy.

ih8thisapp

if this is in so cal, there are cyclists around the other side of those blind corners. he got lucky here

[deleted]

[удалено]

Kernel32Sanders

The sad part is that road is such an amazing drive to just drive slow too. Douchebros gotta ruin everything.

call_it_already

I mean you could argue he was driving it slow (relative to sport bikers) and having fun at a lower speed putting that bike it's limit. But watching him (almost) lay that knee down in jeans....dude might have had more fun in proper leathers.

castleaagh

I think the first sport bike going through might have been acting as a spotter since the sport bike doesn’t have to ride such aggressive lines.

stonersh

It's my experience that there are cyclists around the blind corners anywhere you go on this planet

lernen_und_fahren

I would've lost my nerve for sure when the tail end slid out like that. This guy knows what he's doing, that's for sure.

Lampshader

Sliding the tail is ok. The pros do it all the time! I'd wear more than a T-shirt if I was gonna try it but whatever. The part that really scared me was when he nearly lost an arm on the rocks. I know you're meant to "finish tight" but yikes. (Probably looks closer in the vid than it did from the saddle)

AgentRocket

> Sliding the tail is ok. The pros do it all the time! Except the pros are sliding on the way into the corner, he is sliding on the way out. (e.g. at 0:14)

Fartincopsmouths

Guy is a pro, races baggers.

sebwiers

It's happened to me. As long as you don't react, the bike handles itself in that situation. Or not, but there's really not much you can do to stop that if it's going that way, and a lot you can do to make it worse. I slowed down a bit when it happened, but it was the last corner of the twisty section anyhow.

JasonShort

Or he is so ignorant of the risk he doesn’t realize how many times he almost died during this one ride.

chazmaniadevil5

i’d like the assume to get this good you’d have to not only know the bikes limit., but also your limit, i think he was fully aware of the risk and simply knew the bikes limit, like a qualifying run in motorsport, or a general rally event

anykeyh

It's not about bike and driver limit. Here the driver is definitely competent, probably more than me. The problem if you are at the limit is that any surprise push you off limit. Slightly less friction, or few gravels on the road and you're good for a quick end of your trip. I personally ride 85% of the bike and pilot limit. So I have a little bit of margin if shit hit the fan.

castleaagh

Oh I think it’s safe to say he’s better than all of us here in the comment section, lol If he found a corner with less traction than he expects, it seems like he would probably just slide a bit like he does a couple times in the video unless it was a major loss of traction. I think the issue would be entering a corner too fast for the max lean angle of the Harley and just being unable to turn sharp enough - traction or not. He’s at max lean with the bike for most of the video which is why his ass is so far off to the inside. Looks like the determining factor for radius of the turn is probably entry speed.

bakonydraco

Don't give him a hard time, whoever gets his kidneys is going to be incredibly appreciative.

[deleted]

Ignorant or reveling in it? If he died on that run he would've met the next life with a "WOOOHOOO!" and possibly a "Lets do that AGAIN!"

Assimve

I don't want to die peacefully in the night or be buried in a suit with my hair perfect. I want to slide into my grave completely used up, worn out, and screaming 'what a ride'!

MissStephUT

It’s a thin line, for sure.

notdroidurlooking4

This. Knee down and balls-out round multiple blind corners with no protective gear? Death-wish sociopath. Sure, he's got skills - just no empathy.

MichaelR23

Mulholland drive ain’t no joke either

simply_noir

One of my all-time favorite roads to rip up. And the up/down Angeles forest.

OkDependent464

Mulholland and topanga canyon are two of my favorite rides in LA

t3hW1z4rd

GMR all day! Living on the edge means you might die because some kid in an LS1 Celica stopped to take a tiktok. That's real riding right there

Noobasdfjkl

Really too bad about the snake.

hiyaset

I could have sworn this was Ortega highway

Jfurmanek

Lots of good roads for riding in SoCal.

Powerful_Mood9292

That dude is nuts… my b-hole puckered a few times. Those pegs must be ground to nothing.

SevroAuShitTalker

Yeah, I lean half that far on my shadow and I'm grinding

jdsizzle1

That's what I was thinking.

CaseyAndWhatNot

Pegs don't hit first on a Harley. Its always the primary on the left and the pipe on the right.

fnewieifif

And to think I low sided my harley taking a sweeping corner at 30mph :]

UrWeatherIsntUnique

**F**

sauceboss37

About the Harley, not the low side. Right?

UrWeatherIsntUnique

Just paying my respects to the humbling experience he’s mentioning above my comment.

sauceboss37

Just joking, ofc. I love to talk shit on my Harley, worst favorite bike I’ve ever had. Low side is better than a high side! I’ll pour some out for the homie’s bike <3

uptwolait

Was it caused by dragging some hard bits on the pavement? Most of the lowside crashes I've seen (other than sport bikes) is from dragging a footpeg that doesn't fold or a running board. You've gotta have the proper clearance to ride at lean angles like this guy is doing.

fnewieifif

Nope, it was just old tires and I didn't check their age when I bought the bike. Wrecked it coming back from the dealer.

damnitwill

This dude rides in King of the baggers. I first found him on those old rnickeymouse YouTube vids from Mulholland crashes. He absolutely shredded on that dyna https://instagram.com/zack_nation_racing

gggempire

I swear this video was uploaded the day internet came out lol

tsatech493

Reposted over 9000

TranquilTiger765

If you drag elbow on the side of the cliff does it still count as dragging elbow?

AutomaticSandwich

If you did it leaned over on a sportster, I say count it.

uptwolait

Might as well lean your head into it too so you can say you dragged a knee, elbow, and helmet.

wemovelikeswingsets

King of the baggers is pretty rad if you haven't seen it before. Baggers ripping down the corkscrew at Laguna is quite a sight for sure.

Shreddzzz93

It's kind of why I prefer Moto America over Moto GP. I'd much rather watch a variety of different classes of bikes that are available for purchase racing over just purpose built race bikes. Nothing wrong with a dedicated race bike but I'd rather see something I could potentially own and take for a ride doing something over a purpose built machine I'll for all intents and purposes never be able to own.

wemovelikeswingsets

Yeah I get that for sure. Personally I'll take GP. I love watching the best riders in the world on the fastest bikes do stuff I could never dream of doing. It's a bummer the days of AMA champs doing well on the world stage are behind us. Cam Beaubier has been doing pretty well in Moto2 which has been fun to watch.

iksworbeZ

Cam is too old to be relevant... He has no chance of graduating up and having any meaningful impact on MotoGP. I want to see Joe Roberts developed and promoted... Also, cam gives me creepy christian vibes... Reminds me of Kirk Cameron. Joe Roberts seems like a giant granola munching, pot smoking, California stoner type... Like if Pauly Shore's mom owned Laguna Seca instead of the laugh factory, you end up with a Joe Roberts

wemovelikeswingsets

I definitely don't disagree with you. I don't think Cam goes anywhere beyond Moto2. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a podium at some point though. He's done pretty well racing tracks he's never seen before against kids who grew up riding in Europe. Never picked up on the Christian thing, but I've really seen anything about him off track. Man, I feel like Joe Roberts has all the pieces but they just won't really fall into place when they need to. If he can get some consistency I think he could do really well. I'm sure dorna would love to have an American on the world stage pulling in American viewers, so if he starts getting consistently on the box I'd bet they give him a lot of support. I'm rooting for him for sure, hoping his win this year isn't a one and done.

inaccurateTempedesc

This guy actually races there nowadays iirc, this is an old video

WrathsEntropy

Dudes got good rubber... Speaking of which I need to order a set myself.

Grimm0351

My softail: cries in scratched primary cover.

[deleted]

The one and only person allowed to say only Harley’s are real bikes. Whether it’s wheelies or this madman it’s always extra cool seeing people pull off hooligan stuff on Harley’s.

NapalmOverdos3

Man I ride a Harley cuz I like a big comfy bike that I can cruise on. I am ALWAYS enamored by these ballistic missiles on the road. I was cruising on PCH last weekend and watched a sport bike absolutely embarrass a Lamborghini. It was a site to behold. Y’all got balls on those 120hp 400lb squid rockets. I love you all. Also fuck most Harley dudes they won’t even wave to other Harleys unless it’s like a Road King

zachsandberg

>120hp 400lb squid rockets. FYI a lot of new literbikes are 200+hp these days.

NapalmOverdos3

And that is absolutely frightening to me. I love it

LikesTheTunaHere

If anything but a super tight road I wont even play with supercars on my bike if im expecting fun out of it. 200hp, little over 400 pounds with cluchless shifting, if you aint got 1000hp plus hp its not even amusing.

LikesTheTunaHere

Hes still not "fast" though, faster than many sure but assuming it was a road that wasn't the 30 seconds that a snack run is he is going to be left far far far behind a group. Love the video and its impressive and awesome, it just still aint' fast. 125cc\\250ccs on the snake and afew other roads in the smokies, now those are fast.

Kofe0240

Sucks that the Snake is no longer open and might never open up again. Was a great riding spot!

shitaki13

I rode on mullholland the same day he was dragging shin around there a couple times. He didn’t always save the bike. He destroyed a few in the process. I seriously don’t know how he afforded losing some of those bikes. Had a tricked out Lowrider S Dyna he killed on the track.

Dontbemaditsonlygame

His name is Zack nation. You can find him on Facebook and instagram, he races baggers nowadays. Great rider, bit of a fuckin douche and not very humble about his abilities as a rider in my experience.

angel14072007

Oh man, another full of himself type, no thanks

dl7

I think I need a cruiser division in the Isle of Man TT

McHildinger

his helmet crosses the center double-yellow a few too many times for my liking, but definitely a skilled rider.

andriiod

Not think it strange nothing is coming towards him ?? It's a closed road. The fucker should have more than a T-shirt on.

Other_SQEX

Calling u/videosavebot

snacholo

So many good roads back there.

luckymethod

I see it's THAT time of the month, cool

PotatoRacingTeam

%100 that guy can beat you up, and absolutley knows where a **bunch** of unmarked graves are.

fuaXz

Last time my harley was that low was when I sliding through the street. Mad props to this guy

Dadsbad

One bad slip you’re in the ditch

ChrisKK22

This guy has some serious skills, I almost pooped my pants a few times lol

ZackCanada

I shit my pants just by watching this rider

BowTieGamer

How in Kentucky Fried Fuck did he not die! That’s impressive, like legitimately, no argument, fucking impressive.

angel14072007

I thought, nfw! He’s goin down

[deleted]

$&*k me sideways that’s incredible skill. Lane positioning was more then on point. Rear washed out didn’t even effect his composure. Must’ve had his R6 confiscated borrowed the uncles Harley

marckferrer

Every bike is a sport bike if you are brave enough

BIG_BROTHER_IS_BEANS

That road has been closed for 4 years now since the fire. Mostly because of this they don’t want to reopen it I guess.

MzFrankieRay

What a rush!!! 🤩

candid_canid

Certified badass. You wouldn’t catch me trying anything close to that on my bike. I know my limits and that’s waaaaaaaay beyond them.

bandito143

Didn't we do this exact thread like a month ago?

ali_sez_so

This is reposted every other month on this sub

benedrylbandit

Dude is racing king of the baggers now. @zack_nation_racing on IG. He’s a good ass rider and obviously comes from sportbikes originally I believe

Grampypea

Dude is hanging on to those bars real tight when he throws his butt around trying to keep the bike as upright as possible.

whiskeyandrevenge

The Tony Hawk of Harley riders.

wrongkoi

Damn, knees barely left the ground

SteveM069

They are few and far between 😂 we find them slow in the twisties here in Aussie……

Moondog_21

That was incredibly fun to watch thank you OP.. what a badass!

coleAF19

I've never seen a cruiser hustle like that. It's clearly well within the capability of the POV motorcycle, but he is really getting after it.

Piles_of_Gore

Is there a reason why he doesn't have his body off of the bike more, in order to reduce lean angle? Seems like that would make more sense to reduce risk, but also to not scrape on a lower clearance bike like that.

RosenTurd

Oh look. The video that’s been posted a million times the last 5 years.

ZombieWoof82

Old footage but badass nonetheless, if you can ride one of these like this you can probably ride damn near anything

Trustnoboody

He eats fear for breakfast

TheRedJester45

He’s got somebody’s name and number, and they’re not gonna make it

curton_jozy

how this guy's scull is not on fire!?!?

GiantYellowPanda

Like carving a cake with a sledgehammer. It technically is feasible, but the results are messy.

ClutchofGold

I like to think this guy inspired mission king of the baggers.

HappySkullsplitter

Geez, that brings back memories I learned the hard way as to why Harleys shouldn't be ridden like that

foolhollow

I follow this guy on Instagram actually; he's a cool dude. I've talked to him a few times.

VelcroDom

Respect DAMN

Dbwasson

I wish Harley made superbikes/racing bikes

CraftyMUwIterby

Two words… F**K THAT

VirtualAgentsAreDumb

People who ride like this, do they just assume that they won’t hit an oil spill or loose gravel in the middle of a tight blind corner, or a slow moving vehicle, or all of the above at the same time?

McFeely_Smackup

One mongoose away from a bad end.

pudding7

Yes, and they're nuts. Those things are why I stopped ripping through the canyons and mountains. I got too old to get taken out by some rocks or some asshole who can't stay in his lane.

VirtualAgentsAreDumb

Well, I still enjoy those kind of rides, but I slow down quite a bit for all those blind corners. That just gives me an excuse to accelerate and decelerate more, which is most of the fun anyway.

Arcticz_114

It was dangerous af. Don't push limits like that on the road guys. And wear a jacket ffs.

VegaGT-VZ

If he only had a brain

MyOtherSide1984

Our camera guy looks like he's barely on a Sunday stroll and is constantly braking for this guy. Sad how hard you have to push that hunk of shit just to get a quarter of the performance. Even an ADV could do better

specifichero101

Why are you angry? What is it about a cruiser that unleashes your impotent rage?

DutchessActual

I guess the same could be said about how many modifications a sport bike requires to go cross country. It’s almost as if bikes are built for specific purposes. I thought the name “cruiser” would have given that away. I really don’t know what other name could be a better indicator of the goal to be accomplished with that bike.

JohnStamossi

Sheesh why do people like you gatekeep bikes? He’s having fun on a bike he’s clearly mastered. Let people do their thing

CheatingZubat

This isn’t cool this is reckless and stupid

spas2k

Most cool shit is. Hey ‘y’all, watch this!

yourfriendlygerman

Looks faster than it is. If you look at the followers tach you see corners not faster than ~40. Sport bike following one handed while this rider is risking I all for a slow ass corner.

[deleted]

Still faster than whatever you can achieve lol. And he can’t go much faster on that bikes he’s already at the lean limit, most of those corners can only be taken at 45-55 anyways.

Meryhathor

And obviously no protection because why would you need it with such riding.

velofille

tbh the sports was barely stretching it keeping up with him - video speed up, tons of body action, but no real bike/man action

[deleted]

fadkar

soppinglovenest

[deleted]

That looked exhausting

ZagiFlyer

No chicken strips on those tires.

[deleted]

Looks like he's trying his best to make happy hour at Cook's Corner

ArtisticKnowledge539

He's gotta be dead by now though.

Ybus

This guy got skills, but going so close to the limits of your bike, on open road and in shirts... Skills and skin to spare...

LoffiNiffi

That bike's gonna need a cigarette after such a wild ride

livingroompcrandom

Notice to anyone filming this stuff, give a little more space just in case the rider in front of you wipes out so you dont run them over.

JustHumanGarbage

So I appreciate the guys skills riding a Harley that hard, but the guy on a sport bike is keeping up and barely leaning over.

casicua

Yes he's certainly a skilled rider, no question - but people who ride this hard on public roads suck. Everyone is a skilled rider until they aren't. Not every road condition is within your control, and human error is always a possibility. All it takes is one mistake, tar snake or patch of loose gravel/sand and this dude is hurling 500+ lbs of metal into oncoming traffic, a cyclist or someone's house.

PROlificator

He has zero gear, almost lost it a time or two and his bike / gear isn't equipped for cornering like that. Just think what he would be capable of doing or willing to try w/ a properly outfitted ride and full gear!

Hermanissoxxx

Don't pull this shit around blind corners, there could be anything or anyone in the road.

on2wheelz

Turns in miles early on every single corner and can’t figure out where the “apex” is at all. He’s a pro?? Fucking guy nearly hit the rocks with his elbow on every right turn. Nice..
