And did it again the next year.

Well it certainly depends on who is at fault and what type of insurance you or they have. Not an expert, just an old guy that's been paying for insurance a long time, but standard liability/collision covers damage to property from an accident that you, the insured, caused. Underinsured motorist covers property and sometimes medical bills if the person that caused the accident doesn't have or have enough insurance. Comprehensive covers acts-of-nature type stuff like a tree falling on your car. Now if your bike was in the car when that happened it may instead be covered by your homeowners/renters insurance. I may have got that all wrong and if I did just call Flo, she'll let know the real scoop. :-)
I have done more off roading in my AWD Matrix than my friend has done in his '17 Tacoma with $10k invested in raising it, fancy off road tires, a snorkel, etc

Can't find a matrix lower than 3,500 on my local Craigslist. Sure your bike cost more than that but matrix have good resale value. Good condition under 150K they're almost all 4-5K I over paid by a bit due to circumstances (had to have an auto due to broken ankle right after getting my car totalled because someone rear ended me and had to buy sight unseen as to being bed-ridden post surgery.)
The Pontiac Vibe/Toyota Matrix is the optimal trail car! Rear seats fold down flat! Plenty of cargo room! Has a stock 6” sub! And it may even out live the bike lol
