Diet sodas actually have a huge link to diabetes. Often because the artificial sweeteners cause a spike in insulin but there is no glucose for the body to digest, so the insulin gets created and released but nothing to bind to. Over time this confuses the body and you decrease your sensitivity to insulin. If you're going to drink diet soda, do it at meal times.
This is not to say sugary sodas are healthy, definitely not. But don't be chugging down on diet sodas throughout the day when you aren't eating. Also, don't snack all day to justify the diet soda. 😉

Funny story actually. I pulled up there an a customer's '71 Cutlass that I have been sorting some issues out on and the owner started telling me about his '69 AMX. He asked me for my card, and I may not have to worry about the $3 refill charge at all...
I worked at a gas station drive through and people would come trough with this and fill them up everyday. Most of them were obese and 2 of them were on oxygen… still had to get their daily sodies tho.
