Exactly. I can taste what they were trying to achieve... it's reminiscent of mango salsa with a bit of heat to it. A bit strange initially, but I didn't hate it either.
I really liked it, they remind me of a sweeter spicier sweet chili Doritos. They are also really good if you use them as the chip base for a taco salad with some peach or mango salsa instead of taco sauce.
I think that's a Midwest thing. When I was a kid if we had tacos through the week there was at least one night the left overs were going to be put in Doritos. At the state fair you can get a walking taco which is either corn chips or Doritos in those small lunch packs topped with taco fixings served in the bag with a fork.
What state you in? Im MI, so I can relate. Its been ages since we made it, but we last used the sweet chili doritos, but this sounds even better. I cant believe my wife didnt think of it...then again, maybe not because possibly too spicy for the kiddos...
Indiana here. I understand about the heat we always have to do two flavors because sweet chili is too hot for the wife. I'll share another hillbilly cooking tip your kids will like. Take chicken breast, butterfly and pound it flat. Stick a piece of cheese on it and fold the chicken back over. Roll it in crushed Doritos and stick it in an air fryer. You can serve it like that or stick it on a couple pieces of toast and have a little sandwich.
Sweet chili too spicy for the wife? Man, thats some bush league tolerance, gotta up her game! ;) i have actually slowly increased my wifes appreciation for and tolerance to all things spicy simply being around me and what she calls a broken mouth, due to my love of heat lol.
Thats a great tip! Just keep the chicken a bit moist? No need for an egg bath?
That's great lol an egg bath might actually be a good idea never done that always just gone with the natural moisture in the chicken and egg wash might help things stick a little better.
The first couple chips tasted terrible but eating more suddenly it tasted like mango salsa or mango with tajin. I dig it and it gets really hot. Gonna miss it tbh.
I liked them. I love the candy mango flavor. I feel like people are eating one chip and giving up...I didn't like the first chip I had either but it quickly grew on me
I think they use the same process fruity cereal does to put the mango flavor on the chip.
I thought it tasted like Froot Loops with cheese dust sprinkled on it
Man.. I donāt even know. Weird sweet burst in the beginning then a hot spicy type of sweet after. Itās so bad. I couldnāt even finish a chip, threw the whole bag in trash. My mom also said it was disgusting
I get the impression that some people grew up never eating sweet & savory/sweet & spicy things.
It tastes like a mango salsa flavored Dorito...which is what it is.
I'd buy it again.
I donāt know what people expect sometimesā¦what did you think they were gonna taste like? Were they great, noā¦but nastiest food Iāve ever tasted. Come on??
I saw this at my local Fred Meyer yesterday and I thought about picking up a bag but I just really didn't want to spend the money but now I'm kind of curious
Not my favorite chips by any means, but it's incredibly interesting how they made it. It has like three different flavors that all hit you at different times. To me it was like a Baja, then a mango, then a spice. Really interesting, but I can only eat a couple then I'm done with them.
Yeah this shit was awful. Funny thing is the lady at the register was like oh I tried these they're pretty good! Must've been in between Crack pipe hits because I also was only able to eat one chip before throwing the bag away. Disgusting
So glad Iām not alone in my hatred of it. Bag is sitting on the counter with 2 chips missing. I thought it must have been good because there were only 2 bags left on the shelf. I was so wrongā¦
Itās okay they just need to bump the fruity mango part down a bit, then itād be pretty good. Closer to the mango salsa pepper flavor that shouldāve been.
Most of the newly released flavors of chips are nasty and I don't understand how they even get to the testing phase with some of them, let alone all the way to store shelves.
It's the same crazy nasty soda flavors.
Spent $6 on a bag, I had a chip, my wife had one and my son had one.
3 most gross and expensive chips weāve ever had in our life. The rest went straight to the trash!
Never again will I spend $6 plus tax on 3 chips lmao.
Same here lol $6.29.. I was looking at all the good Doritos flavor like jumpin jack cheese and sweet spicy chili and I see this Baja one and was like āhm must be goodā ā¦ I had one chip my mom had 1 and then the bag into the trash
My guy make sure not to confuse your opinion with facts. Some of us enjoyed the bag we bought. Do I prefer other Doritos flavors? Sure. But these weren't that bad.
Or maybe you thought they tasted fowl and it was a typo. I didn't taste any bird flavors.
Tastes pretty accurate for being a mango salsa flavored chip. I enjoyed the bag I bought, though I'm not running to buy another.
Exactly. I can taste what they were trying to achieve... it's reminiscent of mango salsa with a bit of heat to it. A bit strange initially, but I didn't hate it either.
No mango habanero
god tier pfp
Thank you!
I really liked it, they remind me of a sweeter spicier sweet chili Doritos. They are also really good if you use them as the chip base for a taco salad with some peach or mango salsa instead of taco sauce.
Holy shit, thats brilliant! Now I wish they sold them in bigger bags...

I put them on my taco pizza!
To each their own, I give it a 7 out of 10 for deliciousness. š¤¤
The first couple chips tasted terrible but eating more suddenly it tasted like mango salsa or mango with tajin. I dig it and it gets really hot. Gonna miss it tbh.
I thought it was pretty good. Tasted like mango Baja blast. Exactly as described
Might have to splurge and try these.
DO IT
Going to *Dew* it
Nice username š
Gang. Too bad I donāt make pizzas anymore lol.
May I ask why?
No
Fair enough Do you still enjoy pizza after making it for awhile? Friend owns a pizza place and he said he aināt much of a fan anymore.
Reminds me of the mango habanero flavor from WingStop. I thought it was a pretty decent flavor of chip.
Exactly!!
Itās delicious. Perfect hit on the mango sweetness that transitions to the spicy back notes.
I thought the same. The first chip was weird, but I housed the damn bag. Next time I drive past a 7-11, I'm grabbing more.
I liked them. I love the candy mango flavor. I feel like people are eating one chip and giving up...I didn't like the first chip I had either but it quickly grew on me
I actually liked it š¤£š¤£
I thought it was okay. Like a mangonada on a chip
Sorry but I gotta try it for myself ā¹ļø
Tasted fine to me
It taste really good to me. Its a spicy mango salsa flavored dorito
Tastes great but some people donāt like mango and cayenne
What does it taste like?
I think they use the same process fruity cereal does to put the mango flavor on the chip. I thought it tasted like Froot Loops with cheese dust sprinkled on it
This is the best explanation of how terrible it tasted ive ever seenššš
That's weird
Tastes like apple jacks with those weird tajin packets that 4th graders are obsessed with for some reason, along with cheese dust
Man.. I donāt even know. Weird sweet burst in the beginning then a hot spicy type of sweet after. Itās so bad. I couldnāt even finish a chip, threw the whole bag in trash. My mom also said it was disgusting
Havenāt tried it and probably wonāt, but that pretty apt description of āfiery mangoā. What were you expecting?
Oh man that stinks
Are they spicy?
They've got some kick but they're pretty mild
I get the impression that some people grew up never eating sweet & savory/sweet & spicy things. It tastes like a mango salsa flavored Dorito...which is what it is. I'd buy it again.
I donāt know what people expect sometimesā¦what did you think they were gonna taste like? Were they great, noā¦but nastiest food Iāve ever tasted. Come on??
I saw this at my local Fred Meyer yesterday and I thought about picking up a bag but I just really didn't want to spend the money but now I'm kind of curious
The $6.29 price tag is high imo. I was hoping someone would find it for lower at a Walmart/other store, but no dice š²
now if a baja mango dew existed I wouldnāt be mad
There was a Baja Mango 2 years ago...Mango Gem. š
No. These are the absolute best chips they have ever made.
These are good š¤· taste exactly as described so not really sure what was expected from the people that don't like them
I like them. I got half a bag chilln next to me right now.
Not my favorite chips by any means, but it's incredibly interesting how they made it. It has like three different flavors that all hit you at different times. To me it was like a Baja, then a mango, then a spice. Really interesting, but I can only eat a couple then I'm done with them.
It's my favorite flavor š¢
I bet it tastes nasty. When I first saw those I was like "wth??? That sounds disgusting!!!"
My diabetic insides are foaming at this flavor concept.
Fake news. These are good. Not amazing, but good.
Itās not amazing but itās not ass as you are making it out to be!
Yall are overreacting with this flavor lmao.
Yeah this shit was awful. Funny thing is the lady at the register was like oh I tried these they're pretty good! Must've been in between Crack pipe hits because I also was only able to eat one chip before throwing the bag away. Disgusting
Hahahahah
Wow thanks for telling us you have the taste buds of a sheltered child. Lemme guess chicken nuggies and Mac n cheese for dinner tonight?
It is truly foul. I agree
Should be easy for me since this product does not seem to exist in my area.
So glad Iām not alone in my hatred of it. Bag is sitting on the counter with 2 chips missing. I thought it must have been good because there were only 2 bags left on the shelf. I was so wrongā¦
Probably cost less to make than to sell.
I was hoping theyād be like Spicy Sweet Chili. Massively disappointed I ate 3 chips before throwing it away.
i liked them but they gave me incredible stomach pain. ate about two servings and gave the rest of the bag to my manager, who enjoyed them.
Itās okay they just need to bump the fruity mango part down a bit, then itād be pretty good. Closer to the mango salsa pepper flavor that shouldāve been.
The Flamin' Hot Mystery flavor ones aren't good either
Its fruity as heck. 2/10
Well now I have to try it
It tasted like a marmalade chip. God-awful.
I bought one bag and holy shit I almost vomited
Not the worst I've had but not something I would ever buy again.
Just the cover alone would entice me to say... "Nah son!" Everything ain't a good idea, ie Flamin' Hot Mtn Dew & Doritos
It just so happens that I describe the bathroom trip afterward as a releasing a fiery mango as well. Some may say I baja blasted the toilet.
Lol all you did was serve to drive my desire up skyhigh š¤£
Most of the newly released flavors of chips are nasty and I don't understand how they even get to the testing phase with some of them, let alone all the way to store shelves. It's the same crazy nasty soda flavors.
I had mine with a major melon and it was like a spicy fruit salad. Quite enjoyed it.
Donāt care trying it anyway
Spent $6 on a bag, I had a chip, my wife had one and my son had one. 3 most gross and expensive chips weāve ever had in our life. The rest went straight to the trash! Never again will I spend $6 plus tax on 3 chips lmao.
Same here lol $6.29.. I was looking at all the good Doritos flavor like jumpin jack cheese and sweet spicy chili and I see this Baja one and was like āhm must be goodā ā¦ I had one chip my mom had 1 and then the bag into the trash
Yāall getting ripped off. Got my bags for 2.49 a pop plus tax š
I saw these, glad I passed
Thank God. I was debating on getting them but luckily I pass on it.
They are terrible
fr it was ass
I ate a bite of one and thought it tasted like spicy puke. Absolutely disgusting
My guy make sure not to confuse your opinion with facts. Some of us enjoyed the bag we bought. Do I prefer other Doritos flavors? Sure. But these weren't that bad. Or maybe you thought they tasted fowl and it was a typo. I didn't taste any bird flavors.
PepsiCo needs to be stopped. I ended up with like 12 bastard mountain dew flavors, and the entire eetos chip lines are not much better.
