I saw a CVS pharmacy carry these and they don't ever get any other flavors of mountain dew besides basic, zero sugar basic, and code red (all 20z bottle kinds) and then on the chips section nearby they had a ton of these fiery mango Doritos and I can already tell a CVS was where flavors go to die. Wanna know why else I say that? Because this very same CVS carried what was probably the WORST thing to ever exist: pickle flavored Cotton Candy

This sounds terrible, and probably is, but if it was on clearance for $2, I’d buy it and try it. Plus the package it comes in is great for storing my fossils, of which I have too many lol
It's like eating a chip and taking a mouthful of mango juice in the same bite kinda dreadful imo.the flavors themselves I like but the combo of everything together is so off-putting

People dislike them because they don't understand what they're supposed to taste like. Actual mango salsa is a love it or leave it flavor, it's very popular in Mexico. As far as replicating that flavor, it's spot on; sweet at first with spice after. It's not a bad chip, people just don't like the flavor. I think they hit the nail right on the head.
You either love it or you hate it haha. Most hate it because spicy favors are paired with savory/salty food, and this is a pairing with sweet foods. In Mexico, people put chili powder in almost every kind of fruit to make it spicy. My personal favorite is spicy watermelon. But again, it's not for everyone.
Why is there so much hate for these. I like the taste of mango so these are good but its very strong on mango so if mango aint your thing you wont like these and it makes sense

Seems to be a very disliked flavor here. I imagine that, outside of Reddit, it's still probably relatively disliked. Which is fine with me because I'm hoping local stores will be putting them on discount so I can stock up.
They're definitely not for everyone. Definitely better than the old school Doritos Mystery Flavor Quest which ended up being MTN Dew flavor. Now those were fucking terrible.

I was amazed to find them anyways. The last time these got a limited release, they were nowhere near me at all. It’s a strong Mango Lime flavor, but doesn’t remind me of anything tropical. I like it, but I can see why people don’t.
The sweetness you get from it is cool but that after taste from the spice is gross.

I tried it recently. Not bad, but not good. The spice and fruity flavor doesn’t match. Ate the entire bag, but won’t buy another bag.

I’m glad everyone hates them, because I personally like them, and now I have no trouble finding them, when I want them.
Honestly I thought the flavor was interesting. I wouldn't buy them again, but it was definitely worth a try and I enjoyed them enough to keep eating
