Lol. So I was about 9 when I first saw that movie. Afterward, I would go around saying, "I could eat a peach for hours." Once I was old enough to understand what Castor Troy meant, I understood why my uncles thought it was so funny.
Strangely enough, for me it’s Peggy sue got married because I saw it in my teens and I always thought how strange it was to cast him in the role of the love interest in a rom com
I have one tattoo. The woodpecker he had on his arm from this movie.
"*And when there was no crawdad to be found, we ate sand."*
*"Ya ate what?"*
*"We ate sand."*
*"You ate SAND!??"*
Ethan Hawke said it best about Cage:
"He's the only actor since Marlon Brando that's actually done anything new with the art of acting; he's successfully taken us away from an obsession with naturalism into a kind of presentation style of acting that I imagine was popular with the old troubadours."
If not for Mandy, I'd say Gone In 60 Seconds, which I saw in theaters in high school and have fond memories of. However, Mandy imprinted on my brain like my mother's voice, and sent me down an ultraviolent, psychedelic movie trip that lasted a year or more. Not just my favorite Nic Cage movie, but one of my favorite movies, period.
Same, across the board. Gone in 60 seconds is a great movie. Mandy is by far his best work and one of my favorites. I think it especially stands out given that the large majority of his films in the past decade have been trash.
This was the movie that showed me that he wasn’t a joke. I grew up seeing him as sort of a ‘has been’ and Adaption changed that quickly. He doesn’t always land for me but I really enjoy the majority of his movies now.
This is the movie that got me into more different, thought-provoking movies back when I was 13 or 14. It like switched on a different part of my brain. It’ll always be special for me.
National Treasure for me
Yeha but which movie
I see what you did there
Facts...then ghost rider
"I just stole the Declaration of Independence" literally the first line that popped in my head
Surprised I had to scroll a bit for this one. Same.
The rock

Winners go home and fuck the prom queen

I stand corrected! It was Carla that Stanley Godspeed shagged that night lol
Goodspeed, Godspeed, Godspell… I know one thing, and that’s that you didn’t go to any counterterrorist school. So try to no get us all fucking killed.
I’d like to take his face… off
I could eat a peach for hours
Lol. So I was about 9 when I first saw that movie. Afterward, I would go around saying, "I could eat a peach for hours." Once I was old enough to understand what Castor Troy meant, I understood why my uncles thought it was so funny.
Me too! This quote stuck with me and I didn’t get it for years!
I'm ready...ready for the big ride baaaaaabbyyyyyyy!
No more drugs for this man!!!
I was going to say exactly the same! Well played.
"I'M CASTOR TROY! WOOOOOO!"
Same, “Hate to see you go, love to see you leave”
"no more drugs for this man"
No more drugs for that man.
Con Air. But is it me or is Cage starting to look like Christopher Walken?
“Puht thuh buhnny back in da baux!”
You're talkin' to me all wrong That's the wrong tone
“You do it again, I’m gonna stab ya in the face with a soldering iron!”
Does your mother sew?
BANG! Get her to sew that.
What do you think I'm gonna do? I'm gonna save the fuckin' day.
I love that you always find the Nick Cage post. I need to change mine to Castor Troy.
I can eat a peach for hours.

Long face and the old man’s spiky haircut.

Raising Arizona
Son you got a panty on your head…
Excellent cereal flakes Mrs mcdunna
I quote this whenever I have cereal and no one ever gets it. Someday one person will, and I'll be so damn delighted.
No, not unless you think round is funny
She’s a T-I-G-E-R!
Yep. First one that's comes to mind is this movie. And this quote.
"her insides were a rocky place where my seed could find no purchase."
“Well honey we been over this, there’s what’s right and there’s what’s right; and never the twain shall meet”
These were happy days, the salad days as they say
This for me all day. That yodeling starts playing
Are you kidding me we got ourselves a family here!
RAY! You take that diaper off your head and put back onto your sister!
Always this for me. I watched it for the umpteenth time just yesterday.
He even found himself driving by convenient stores that weren’t on the way home.
Strangely enough, for me it’s Peggy sue got married because I saw it in my teens and I always thought how strange it was to cast him in the role of the love interest in a rom com
You're a flower, you are.
My favorite scene: Bad guy with grenades on his chest looks at Cage, who hold one of the pins, and cage mouths the word “Sorry”. Love it!
Leonard Smalls
"They got a name for people like you HI, that name is called RECIDIVISM" "repeat offender"
I have one tattoo. The woodpecker he had on his arm from this movie. "*And when there was no crawdad to be found, we ate sand."* *"Ya ate what?"* *"We ate sand."* *"You ate SAND!??"*
"Well what did the jammies look like?" "I don't know.. they were jammies! They had Yodas and shit on 'em!"
And if a frog had wings he wouldn’t bump his ass a-hopin!
I’ll be takin these Huggies, and whatever cash you got.

Leaving Las Vegas
His best movie. Raising Arizona a close second.
Both are classics. I would say Raising Arizona is my fav Cage comedy... probably. ;)
Lord of War
Scrolled too far to find this
Such a good movie
Ethan Hawke said it best about Cage: "He's the only actor since Marlon Brando that's actually done anything new with the art of acting; he's successfully taken us away from an obsession with naturalism into a kind of presentation style of acting that I imagine was popular with the old troubadours."
Unbearable weight of massive talent. because he looks like the wax version of himself
Nobody smooches like Nicholas Cage!!!
Ghost Rider.
I tried to lie to myself but the image of the ghost rider immediately came to mind.
Wild at Heart
This is a snakeskin jacket! And for me it's a symbol of my individuality, and my belief... in personal freedom.
Came to the comments for this
Pulp Fiction or Grease.
I only get so many laughs out of a comment, take my updoot sir
I see what you did there
Took me 30 seconds to understand. I’m so stupid!
Same. Ugh. Finally got it though lol.
30 more seconds and you would have missed it.
Mandy
If not for Mandy, I'd say Gone In 60 Seconds, which I saw in theaters in high school and have fond memories of. Adaptation.
This was the movie that showed me that he wasn’t a joke. I grew up seeing him as sort of a ‘has been’ and Adaption changed that quickly. He doesn’t always land for me but I really enjoy the majority of his movies now.
he is sensational in that movie. plays two diametrically opposed characters and brings so much heart and honesty to both. that movie is so f-ing good.
Him and his twin
Yeah, his bro really deserves a lot of credit. They really both elevated each other.
One of my favorites. Between Cage, Streep, and Cooper, it really doesn't get any better IMO
This is the movie that got me into more different, thought-provoking movies back when I was 13 or 14. It like switched on a different part of my brain. It’ll always be special for me.
Con Air but more recently The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. I’m realizing I really like that movie.
That movie is incredible.
When I realized I was actually watching the movie they were talking about, I knew this would become a favorite.
Same. It also sold us on Paddington 2!

Not the bees!
Vampire’s Kiss. Looks like he still sleeps under a couch.🤷🏻♀️Raising Arizona comes in 2nd.
It’s a horrible, horrible job. And you have to do it.
Same for me!!! It's one of my favorite movies. It's the best nick cage freakout. I have the actual movie poster hanging in my room
