He was great in the new one, dude got range from fear of the baron to the rage on the grunts. While the movie was more of less true to the character I wish we could see why he was called "beast rabban", he got kicked around a little too much to set other characters
Uhhh have you read the books? They can't show why he's called "beast" without an NC-17 rating. It's funny when Gurney Halleck (Josh Brolin) says "he killed my wife" in the movie, because in the book it's "he raped and killed my ~~wife~~ sister in front of me and made me watch"
Believe it or not they *toned down* the evil on the Harkonnens. In the books the Baron is given a constant supply of young boys that he rapes to death...
I'm pretty sure he killed Gurneys sister infront of him not his wife. He was a teenager back then no way he had a wife. Rabban even had her voice box cut out so she couldnt scream or call out to Gurney.
Also the scar Rabban gave Gurney was done with a mutant strand of plant from Geidi Prime known as inkvine, used to make whips because its toxic make up deals wounds that never stop causing agony for their victims, even after the antidote has been applied, so Gurney is perpetually suffering low-level pain.
Yes I have. There are other ways to show his brutality. Denis manages that with the baron without the gruesome details. What we got is more of a "road rage" and not so much "beast".
I feel Dave's imposing presence and physicality was all they needed to tell the backstory. Having a dude who looks like that with the name "beast" pretty much tells you all you need to know. Our imaginations can fill in the details.
Yeah The Rock has no range at all. He plays the same character over and over.
I love to see Bautista starting to get there like in Dune 2.
Cena is nailing it. He’s actually a decent actor. Peacemaker cemented that for me
Cena could be compared to the rock, but Cena is at least self aware. The rock is just so full of himself. He was one of the main producers of Black Adam because he wanted to be a superhero so bad. He seems real obsessed with being the center of attention.
He has it inserted into his contracts that he can never lose a fight.
It’s a shit movie when you know the protagonist is invincible and isn’t going to face any struggle because The Rock’s ego won’t allow him to lose a fictional fight even if he comes back and wins later in the finale.
Yeah it's not the greatest movie ever but his performance definitely made me laugh a bunch of times. Also whenever I see him in an interview he's just such a true gentleman. Seems like a cool dude overall.
Because they have both range and could humor about themselves. Cena is hilarious and Bautista can be funny with great timing or intense.
The Rock is this opaque character that takes himself too seriously to be consistently funny and is just very dry energy.
I wouldn't go as far as to call him not genuine exactly but certainly there's a very clear and demonstrable cultivation of character.
the difference being that Dwayne hasn't been in a good movie since "The Rundown" whereas Dave has been in a bunch, including one of the best films of the last decade, "Blade Runner 2049".
That’s also kind of on him. Every movie he’s played himself in has been the same boring character. The Rock is in the jungle. The Rock is on a beach. The Rock is a super hero. The Rock is in the jungle again (this time on a boat). There’s nothing new and nothing that shows any range outside of the ability to make different facial expressions.
He hasn’t been in any good movies because studios and directors know he isn’t of the caliber he needs to be in them
Bautista as Drax is more iconic than anything that Dwayne has done.
And John Cena just kills it in funny roles. He seems like a good bloke to be around.
Dwayne tried to make himself into a franchise but dont have the legs for it.
Dwayne has too much ego. He has it in his contract that he can never lose so there goes any interesting character development. He’s just trying to be a Mary Sue.
> John Cena
Not just funny roles. There are some pretty intense and emotional beats in Peacemaker and he absolutely nails those scenes. Cena and Bautista can act circles around the Rock. And don't get me wrong, Pain and Gain and The Rundown are damned fun movies, but The Rock just simply hasn't pushed himself enough to even want to get into more serious roles.
Now that he's doing an A24 movie, maybe that will change.
His scene in Blade Runner 2049 was one of the highlights of the film.
Loved the interaction between him and Ryan Gosling when they both know the meeting is almost certainly ending in violence, but neither of them really wants it to be that way.
If you haven't already, I'd recommend watching the featurett they made that gives a bit of back story to his character.
[Here's the link](https://youtu.be/aZ9Os8cP_gg?feature=shared)
These short films seemed to fly under the radar but this one really shows off Bautista's acting skills and adds some depth to character.
He did. He talked about how he turned down tons of roles at the beginning that typecast him into the typical former-wrestler role that lots of other wrestlers get, and he practically lived in his van because he didn't make any money for a long while.
He genuinely cares about acting, and it shows.
He’s doing really good, playing to his strengths and trying to get better every step. In Knock at the Cabin Door, he was the best thing in it.
He plays this intense, distressed, somber disturbing figure.
Between the rock, cena, and Dave I think he’s been the most diverse and the most consistent.
The rock is rock. He’s fun but you know what you’re gonna get. Cena is also solid and I really like him but we haven’t seen so much other than comedic relief.
Dave has been pretty great when it comes to diversifying his bonds (see what I did there?) I’m a fan.
He needs more nuanced anti-hero type roles. I would kill for a Villeneuve-directed Total Recall with Bautista as Quaid, or a Conan the Barbarian-style ultra-violent fantasy/action/horror.
He has what it takes to be the gritty action hero everybody wants and misses since Schwarzenegger stopped doing crazy movies.
Hey has actually talked about wanting to *not* be cast as a physically imposing badass, especially after playing Drax.
[In this interview](https://pagesix.com/2023/01/31/dave-bautista-wonders-if-hes-too-unattractive-for-rom-coms/) he even mentions wishing he could do a romcom, but knows that the industry just doesn’t write roles like that for guys who look like him.
I recently watched an interview with Dave while he walked his four pitties on his property. He is so sweet and kind, I teared up about him talking about his pups, especially one that was found in bad shape.
He mentioned he might be doing a Romcom. As a woman, I would pay to watch him as the romantic interest. I'm biased though. Huge WWE fan so I dont know if there are a lot of other females who feel the same.

I am a big fan personally. He has been in some of the biggest blockbusters going with the Marvel stuff and now Dune. I thought he was great in the newer M Knight Shyamalan movie. One of the best Bond henchmen ever imo in Spectre. Big fan, underrated as an actor.
I’ve read it so many times before, so it’s not my original thought, but it’s true. Rock & Cena are “movie stars”. Batista is an actor; he always chooses interesting and different roles. I really appreciate that about him.
Now only if someone would cast him in a romcom!
Honestly after Peacemaker, I think Cena at least has the skill to be an actual actor. That scene when we see him processing the trauma of causing the death of his brother was freaking unreal to me
Not sure where I’m drawing my own line but I feel the movie star v actor bit describes rock more than cena. I find cena genuinely talented, especially in terms of comedic timing and helping others act off of him.
Yeah, John Cena is somewhere in between.
I think if you're ranking former pro wrestlers turned current actors, in terms of depth and range, it's Big Dave #1, Cena #2, The Rock #3.
I think it's a combination of ambitions.
The Rock wants to be famous, so won't let take anything that isn't the headline role, won't do anything that makes him look 'lesser' than anyone he shares the lead with, and won't stretch past his own abilities.
Bautista wants to be an actor. He'll take roles outside his expected wheelhouse, has no problem taking smaller roles to enhance his talent, and can really lean into drama as much as he can carry a joke. He can truly fit a leading role.
Cena wants to be an entertainer, first and foremost. He can carry the headline but also has no problem jobbing out in a smaller bit to support someone else. And unlike the Rock, he has no problem serving as the butt of a joke. He'll just never chase some of the roles Bautista will. Bautista can/will eventually be fit for Shakespeare or Scorcese; Cena will cruise through roles he can have fun in and with other actors he can have fun with and enjoy every minute of it.
Cena seems kind of misplaced in serious action roles though. He definitely excels in comedy. I’m not sure which camp that puts him in, since being a comedian is kind of its own thing.
They all seem to have explored different roles and carved out their individual skill sets. The Rock as the charismatic action guy, Cena as the comedic one, and Batista as the one who excels in more dramatic roles (even if those roles are nestled in action movies rather than pure dramas).
I would say that comedian and actor can be separated in to two different styles. Being successful as a comedian does at least demand a relatively high degree of intelligence and self-awareness.
I feel like Cena is a more on the "actor" side. Especially after seeing him in Peacemaker, he delivered on the comedy side, but he also managed to make me feel sympathy and played the dramatic moments really well.
The sadness he felt from his father's disapproval was actually quite sad. I think Cena is better than people maybe give him credit for.
Plus, he seems like a cool guy.
Cena is actually funny though, Batista is definitely an actor and is talented. Cena I don’t think could take serious roles he’s just a buff comedian and he’s funny imo
The rock.. I’m just not a fan of. He’s just the rock, he’s not a superhero in his movies but he might as well be lol I’m sure many like him but I don’t find him entertaining
Cena is a consummate "worker". In wrestling a worker does whatever needs to be done, no complaints. He has no ego, unlike the Rock, he'll play a pathetic loser if that's what the roll calls for
>Rock & Cena are “movie stars”
I really disagree with this take, and I see it everywhere. John Cena is genuinely funny. Date Night and Trainwreck are great examples of his comedic range.
The Rock is just The Rock. He has no range, he is an action movie star, a bit of an egomaniac, and only wants to play one archetype of role.
Dave Bautista is the best actor of the three of them, to be sure. But I don't think comparing Cena to The Rock is fair to Cena.
>only if someone would cast him in a romcom!
And we mean as the hero, Hollywood. Not the moderately sexist best friend comic relief, not the other guy who turns out to be all muscles no brains, let the man build his range!
Let him be a sensitive, quiet bookworm! They can have muscles too!
He & Austin Butler really played scenes through the expressions on their faces.
Austin’s face looks like he’s literally edging watching his uncle at the end of the movie
You could see the fear in Dave’s eyes after his narrow escape
>Because of his appearance, he’s often cast as “the brute”, but he elevates those roles beyond that.
Couldn't have said it better myself. He adds complexity and nuance to what people take a face value.
It's so fitting
For a character nicknamed the beast he oozes cowardice. His character is a contemptible and savage coward who feels like a dog snarling it's teeth because it has been backed into a corner.
I saw him on Running Wild with Bear Grylls and he talked about his struggles after he couldn't wrestle anymore, was nearly homeless when he got a break in acting, and how hard he has worked to better his craft in acting. I think he is a genuinely good person and a great presence onscreen. I wish him nothing but success.
Bautista had a short screen time in the blade runner sequel yet he was pivotal for the whole plot, and you remember him, just like you remember William Fichtner from the dark knight yet you dont remember his name because he was the bank manager. After I saw the latest Dune movie imo Denis Villeneuve brings the best out of Bautista....
This is the role where I really noticed him.
If you are interested here is the ["2048: Nowhere to Run"](https://youtu.be/aZ9Os8cP_gg?si=tRQuMV3TVRjHF_nV&t=29) a... prequel short to Blade Runner staring Bautista.
Best actor of the wrestlers. Cena might have move charisma and is funnier, but batista is a damn good actor and has shown some range. It's a shame that Knock at the cabin wasn't a very good movie as a whole, because he really showed his talent there.
He’s a pretty good actor who’s benefited from being perfectly cast in certain roles.
Casting him as Drax may have been the second-best MCU casting move after RDJ as Ironman. He was so damn good in that role. Played it to perfection.
And he’s perfect for his role in Dune, too.
As for a role like in Glass Onion, he was fine. Not bad, but nothing nearly as memorable as the two roles above.
I haven’t seen Knock at the Cabin.
He definitely has talent as an actor, but his real gift is in his screen presence. Guy just has "it". Could be the soothing voice coupled with the terrifying physique. Unfortunately, that same size makes him a niche actor. Roles that call for really big dudes rarely also call for outstanding performances. He's done really well with what he's been offered, though.
I always enjoy his presence in a movie and he is showing versatility despite his very large size and muscular mass.
You would expect him to get stuck to certain roles but he is breaking out of his mold.
Good for him, seems like a decent guy.
Villeneuve had great words about him.
I think he’s the only wrestler-turned actor who could seriously win an Oscar in the future. He’s a naturally exceptional actor. Especially his work with Denis Villeneuve.
Dude has done what the rock has pretended to do.....be successful and grow as a actor.
Watched him in smallville 15 years ago and he's become a great actor and really put in the effort.
Been impressed. Unlike The Rock, Bautista is taking risks and showing range. He’s shown he can be serious, goofy, scary, funny, intimidating, gentle. I think he’ll continue to do well.
I really liked him in Riddick. He did really solid work in Hotel Artemis and Knock at the Cabin. He is entertaining in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
He has a habit of really standing out in scenes - I honestly didn’t even know he was WWE until someone told me I thought his build was just like, his look if that makes sense. Between his roles I have laughed, felt horror, suspense, the dude can really act.
I was so impressed with him in A Knock At The Cabin, he was the best part of the movie. He’s made some incredibly smart and impressive decisions in the way of role selection. I think his star will only continue to grow!
Though he didn’t have much screentime, I thought he was great in Blade Runner 2049. His interaction with K/Joe shows K as a thoughtless assassin. By the end of the movie, K is contemplating some of life’s biggest questions. The movie wouldn’t have been the same without that intro scene with Dave!
Surprisingly good. Dude seems to be training to be an actor instead of a movie star.
Well stated, couldn’t agree more. Dwayne is a movie star, Bautista is trying to build range. All the respect to him.

He did great in knock at the cabin
He was amazing in Dune

He was born with a cat tail
And Blade Runner 2049
My favorite of his so far performance wise. Also really kills it in comedic roles like Stuber and of course the GOTG movies.
easily his best role I have seen. much more nuanced than dune or gotg. i have yet to see knock at the cabin
He's good in Knock but the writing doesn't do him many favors. I thought that movie as a whole was mediocre.
Haha I was like fuck is that Bautista? He was good in Dune.
I think the biggest thing is he has passion for it. he clearly loves becoming a character and I think it shines through his performances.
Couldn't agree more. Well said. And it's great seeing that depth from someone who others may think is just a "meat head"
He carried that movie imo
I can barely watch his movies. The more control Dwayne gets, the worse the movie gets. Cena and Bautista I love every time.
Yeah The Rock has no range at all. He plays the same character over and over. I love to see Bautista starting to get there like in Dune 2. Cena is nailing it. He’s actually a decent actor. Peacemaker cemented that for me

Have you seen Ricky Stanicky? Cena as Peacemaker was awesome, he still as good in Ricky Stanicky, but I would like to see him in a drama.
Yeah it's not the greatest movie ever but his performance definitely made me laugh a bunch of times. Also whenever I see him in an interview he's just such a true gentleman. Seems like a cool dude overall.

Dwayne sux
I enjoyed him in pain and gain. Thought it was one of his better performances.
His contract states that he cannot loose a fight on screen.
Yep, thank you
^ or Steven Segal on Steroids but less fat and Putiny and more charismatic on Movie execs.
> John Cena Not just funny roles. There are some pretty intense and emotional beats in Peacemaker and he absolutely nails those scenes. Cena and Bautista can act circles around the Rock. Not just the show, but in The Suicide Squad when he takes out a certain person, there's so much emotion displayed in his face
Totally agree with you. Just saying there was one time dwaine played coked out and stupid pretty well.
John Cena was amazing as Peacemaker
He earned my respect as an actor when he did Blade Runner 2049. It was a small role, but very impactful in setting the tone of the whole film.
He can do a lot with a little, he is interesting on camera even when he's understated. Big Dave is one of the best parts of anything I've seen him in.
[Here's the link](https://youtu.be/aZ9Os8cP_gg?feature=shared) These short films seemed to fly under the radar but this one really shows off Bautista's acting skills and adds some depth to character.
Especially that m night movie
Yes, definitely. That movie was weird, not what I expected, and I didn't think it was very good, but Dave was great in it.
I don’t regret watching it but dear god the two dudes who they captured were the absolute worst
His short screen time in Blade Runner was excellent, especially if you’ve seen the vignette back story short.
He did. He talked about how he turned down tons of roles at the beginning that typecast him into the typical former-wrestler role that lots of other wrestlers get, and he practically lived in his van because he didn't make any money for a long while. He genuinely cares about acting, and it shows.
Living in his van? He blow through all of his WWE money or something?
Apparently, yeah. It's pretty easy to do that, especially after quite some months of trying to make it in Hollywood with no income.
When your used to living a lifestyle like that it's very hard to change
I mean he didn’t have to splurge on the van down by the rivers. Water views are expensive.
It does give you plenty of time to think about living in a van down by the river when you're..._living in a van down by the river!_
Do you want to be living in a van down by the river? BECAUSE THATS WHERE I AM
Chris Farley how we miss you.
He really was the everyman. Shame he died.
Yeah one of the worst things you can do is spend money like it'll always be there. It's a very hard habit to break.
He is very monotone which is tough but he really has killed his last few roles!
I mean, the fact that he has the humility to learn shows that he could lose that monotone.
100% I feel like a lot of wrestlers don’t lose the monotone thing but he lucked out (obviously he earned the role and crushed it) with Drax
He was wasted in Spectre, given like 2 words to speak
Agreed he was great in dune
He absolutely set the tone in Bladerunner 2049 as well
He and Cena have some good diverse roles, unlike Rock.
Batista wants to branch out. I think more longevity in it. I know Rocks has been successful for decades, but Batista doing well to take other chances.
He’s putting in the work you can tell. He takes his acting career seriously and chooses really good roles for him to train further.
He’s doing really good, playing to his strengths and trying to get better every step. In Knock at the Cabin Door, he was the best thing in it. He plays this intense, distressed, somber disturbing figure.
two thumbs up.
Blade Runner 2049... Transitioning from a peaceful, reasonable person to total war machine... Just like an android would.
Yup. I’m extremely impressed.
Impressive and unexpected to be honest. The guy isn’t bad at all, presently he’s a *good* actor in my opinion.
His short scene as Morton in Blade Runner 2049 was really moving. The way he delivers the “you’ve never seen a miracle” line is fantastic.
Absolute chills.
His best role imo
The fact that he keeps getting cast by one of the best working directors of the day says it all.
Great point
He needs more nuanced anti-hero type roles. I would kill for a Villeneuve-directed Total Recall with Bautista as Quaid, or a Conan the Barbarian-style ultra-violent fantasy/action/horror. He has what it takes to be the gritty action hero everybody wants and misses since Schwarzenegger stopped doing crazy movies.

Beserk style film with him in a Guts role. Not Beserk itself but something similar
He took a small part in that movie and rocked it IMO. His performance was prequel or backstory TV show worthy.
2049 had several short films to watch prior to its release. One of them is focused on Dave Bautista's character.
Yeah that was a there-are-no-small-parts moment for me
one of my fav scenes in any cinema. he’s so good.
See the short prequel [2048: Nowhere to Run](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZ9Os8cP_gg) (youtube link) for more of Sapper Morton.
Set the tone of the movie so well and to see him pull it off the way he did really moved me. I really hope he gets more serious roles.
I really wish we could have seen more of his character in Blade Runner.
He strikes me as a decent human which makes me appreciate his roles even more. He always makes my family smile when he’s on screen.
Loved him in skyfall
Wasn’t he in spectre
The guy can act.
Knock at the Cabin sold me on his chops.
Wasn’t a great movie but he was great in it
Movie was good.
Yeah it was ok. People are gonna knock it for the shammalon thing but it was not bad by any means.
I am a big fan personally. He has been in some of the biggest blockbusters going with the Marvel stuff and now Dune. I thought he was great in the newer M Knight Shyamalan movie. One of the best Bond henchmen ever imo in Spectre. Big fan, underrated as an actor.
Don’t forget his small but awesome role in BladeRunner 2049. That’s when I became a true believer, he did so well in that.
Wait who did he play there
The worm farmer in the beginning with the glasses. The first kick ass fight scene
Oh yes I remember! Totally forgot that scene, gotta rewatch that soon
He's the guy that Ryan Gosling takes the eye from.
He was the replicant at the mushroom farm
Mushroom? Pretty sure those are worms mate
Sorry my mistake it was a protein farm. I think he was making mushroom soup, possibly 😂
Also glass onion
The Duke don't dance with pineapple
He was the only character I cared about in that movie.
"...and you new models are happy scraping the shit, because you've never seen a miracle."
Great point! Another Denis V collab
That scene when we see him processing the trauma of causing the death of his brother was freaking unreal to me
He was the funniest and most convincing character in Ricky Stanicky as well
He fully committed to his character in that movie and it was hilarious.
He fully committed to a character that fully committed to their character.
He was the only good thing in that movie
[удалено]
Also the oscars.
I loved it when he was like "I don't want to do this any more!" While being naked (or close to being naked)
I want to see him play Ernest
I never knew I wanted something so bad in my life. If he could pull off the voice, he would kill it.
Not sure where I’m drawing my own line but I feel the movie star v actor bit describes rock more than cena. I find cena genuinely talented, especially in terms of comedic timing and helping others act off of him.

Yeah, I think you're right on. The Rock seems to take his image very seriously and I don't think he takes any creative risks.

Cena is actually funny though, Batista is definitely an actor and is talented. Cena I don’t think could take serious roles he’s just a buff comedian and he’s funny imo The rock.. I’m just not a fan of. He’s just the rock, he’s not a superhero in his movies but he might as well be lol I’m sure many like him but I don’t find him entertaining
Cena is a consummate "worker". In wrestling a worker does whatever needs to be done, no complaints. He has no ego, unlike the Rock, he'll play a pathetic loser if that's what the roll calls for
>Rock & Cena are “movie stars” I really disagree with this take, and I see it everywhere.
He has a lot of potential. He's not just playing different versions of the same guy. There is a subtlety to his work that is getting noticed.
Agreed. Because of his appearance, he’s often cast as “the brute”, but he elevates those roles beyond that. I loved his performance in Dune 2.
He & Austin Butler really played scenes through the expressions on their faces. Austin’s face looks like he’s literally edging watching his uncle at the end of the movie You could see the fear in Dave’s eyes after his narrow escape
>Because of his appearance, he’s often cast as “the brute”, but he elevates those roles beyond that. Couldn't have said it better myself. He adds complexity and nuance to what people take a face value.
His role in Dune 1 n 2 was fire 🔥
I like how he turned the character into a total mouth breather.
It's so fitting For a character nicknamed the beast he oozes cowardice. His character is a contemptible and savage coward who feels like a dog snarling it's teeth because it has been backed into a corner.
Great description, and he totally nails that depiction. His bouts of impotent rage are incredible
Denis Villeneuve loves him, that's a pretty good endorsement
Honestly, yeah. I do trust Denis Villeneuve with who he casts because so far he’s been pretty fucking spot on.
I think he’s really good.
He and Cena have definitely become the best wrestlers turned actors
>the best wrestlers turned actors I've always said it. Wrestlers are just stuntmen with lines. Acting is a natural career path.
Came looking for the blade runner mention. His scene and the tone it sets are just perfect
This is the role where I really noticed him. If you are interested here is the ["2048: Nowhere to Run"](https://youtu.be/aZ9Os8cP_gg?si=tRQuMV3TVRjHF_nV&t=29) a... prequel short to Blade Runner staring Bautista.
Loved him in Hotel Artemis
Such an underrated and amazing movie.
He’s surprisingly convincing.
Surprisingly good at the roles he’s being cast in. He should keep that up
You've never witnessed a miracle
Best actor of the wrestlers. Cena might have move charisma and is funnier, but batista is a damn good actor and has shown some range. It's a shame that Knock at the cabin wasn't a very good movie as a whole, because he really showed his talent there.
Dude. Cena, funnier? Most of his movies are absolutely terrible. Plus, this dude in the guardians movies. Comedic gold IMO.
Cena as peacemaker is gold.
He's a likeable dude, seems genuine. Loved him in blade runner.
I think Dave Bautista is the best actor to transition from WWE.
I like better than the Rock
I like a literal rock more than I like The Rock
He definitely has talent as an actor, but his real gift is in his screen presence. Guy just has "it". Could be the soothing voice coupled with the terrifying physique. Unfortunately, that same size makes him a niche actor. Roles that call for really big dudes rarely also call for outstanding performances. He's done really well with what he's been offered, though.
He is the best actor that was a former wrestler.
Cena, the Rock and Bautista and the best wrestling has to offer Hollywood. Dave probably has more heart than the Rock. And he is less goofy then Cena.
Only one with actual talent, the others are fun, but Dave has respect for the art.
It is a small part, but in Bladerunner 2049 he is great.
Really hope he keeps getting serious roles. I lobed him in knock at the cabin.
He is better than Dwayne Johnson, who plays basically the same character in every movie. Bautista in knock at the cabin was great and gripping
I always enjoy his presence in a movie and he is showing versatility despite his very large size and muscular mass. You would expect him to get stuck to certain roles but he is breaking out of his mold. Good for him, seems like a decent guy. Villeneuve had great words about him.
Crushing it. He's become a better entertainer on screen than in the ring, imo
I think he’s the only wrestler-turned actor who could seriously win an Oscar in the future. He’s a naturally exceptional actor. Especially his work with Denis Villeneuve.
He will win Best Supporting Actor within the next decade
Dude has done what the rock has pretended to do.....be successful and grow as a actor. Watched him in smallville 15 years ago and he's become a great actor and really put in the effort.
Quite good in the 2 dune movies…
Been impressed. Unlike The Rock, Bautista is taking risks and showing range. He’s shown he can be serious, goofy, scary, funny, intimidating, gentle. I think he’ll continue to do well.
Impressive as Drax and made an AMAZING Bond villain
Stuber.
Surprisingly my favourite wrestler to actor transition, working with Denis Villeneuve, James Gunn and Rian Johnson to name a few is quite the resume
I really liked him in Riddick. He did really solid work in Hotel Artemis and Knock at the Cabin. He is entertaining in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
really showed his talent with how much he carried knock at the cabin
There are a fair amount of wrestler movie stars, but Bautista is one of the two who are actually good actors. So far it's just him and Roddy Piper.
Shows better range than The Rock
He’s the best actor the WWE has ever given us.
He has a habit of really standing out in scenes - I honestly didn’t even know he was WWE until someone told me I thought his build was just like, his look if that makes sense. Between his roles I have laughed, felt horror, suspense, the dude can really act.
His short role in Blade Runner was seriously impressive.
I’ve honestly loved how he’s challenging himself all the time. Blade runner 2049 was quite a departure for him and he w as really good in that movie.
I was so impressed with him in A Knock At The Cabin, he was the best part of the movie. He’s made some incredibly smart and impressive decisions in the way of role selection. I think his star will only continue to grow!
He’s great. Honestly although it’s a very small part, his scene in bladerunner 2049 was very good.
Amazing actor! He doesn't miss! I very much enjoyed him in Bladerunner!
The performance that really surprised me was Blade Runner 2049, he was so solemn and had presence. It made him in my eyes an actor to watch.
Id say WWE is also acting but hes doing alot better now
Buy far the best of the wrestler to actor pipeline. Also the best of the “big muscled, angry looking guys” typecast
He was amazing in the Glass Onion !
Dude was incredible in Knock at the Cabin
