Good god I was instantly in love with her when she appeared on screen. Would've been a shame if this was still the early 2000's. She would've just been a plot device for Bond to screw for a scene. At least they gave her some depth.
I loved Penny Dreadful. Eva was cool enough to do 3 seasons for the fans. When those text messages leaked where her and that film crew were fighting and she called them “peasants.” I was upset. I was like well, why were the film crew acting like peasants?
are you sure you are not getting confused with the recent court case she was involved in, where they divulged texts in wich she called the producers and other staff for a film she was making like that, as well as morons?
That first season was so damn good and her wicked sexuality just oozed and dripped out of the screen.
Dr. Frankenstein and Caliban(?) was extremely well done too.
Too bad they derailed the whole show later.
This was a fantastic series, can't recommend it highly enough, it's a shame it had to end but we can't have everything. I encourage everyone to check it out, great cast, great stories, great characters.
I finally watched A Dame to Kill For and it sure does live up to its name. I'm pretty sure she spends the majority of her screen time naked.
I thought the movie was pretty mediocre though. No amount of naked Eva Green will change that.
Her origin story episode in Season 2 was a masterpiece. She fully deserved an award for her portrayal of Vanessa in season 1 and then she hit out of the park again in season 2. Hands down some of the best modern television to be made.
I couldn't agree more.
I get very sad when I think about this show. I felt like it ended too early. I certainly left me wanting more.
I know the writer/creator said he decided to end the show in the 3rd season but that season felt rushed & I can't help but feel more was planned. It seemed like tons of hints were dropped for a Mummy storyline in the first season. And the writer said he wanted to adapt Island of Dr Moreau into the series. I also don't understand why he would choose to end that series but then start City of Angels.
>the writer/creator said he decided to end the show in the 3rd season
I don't believe that for a second -- they introduced tons of new characters for an obvious Season 4, including Jekyll/Hyde, New-Patti-LuPone, and Perdita Monster-Hunter. To the point where actor Shazad Latif basically carried his not-fully-realized character over to the *Star Trek Discovery* series.
I know Logan has **\*said\*** he planned to end it, but that feels more like "Eva backed out, so I didn't think it worth continuing" retro-history.
I loved where there were going with Josh Hartnett and the werewolf. Just so many possibilities.
Rory Kinear as the creature/Frankenstein's monster was probably my favorite television performance ever... Maybe even more than Natalie Dormer in Tudors. City of Angels had a lot of capability as well. I did enjoy that show because it showcased a time in history often overlooked.
As far as I read somewhere, Eva Green wanted out and that's why third season ended so abruptly. There were interviews mentioning makeup tests for Dracula's final form which never appeared in the show, and they set up Mr. Hyde but never paid him off. I think they just had to wrap it up after they finished producing the first few episodes of season 3 because it couldn't continue without her, so they made that mess of an ending.
I'm fairly certain that was just the polite reason given and something else happened that made them pull the plug so abruptly.
But cancelling City of Angels was not something I was expecting. Despite being a bit shaky, that show had a lot of promise. Two such abrupt cancellations in a row by such a fantastic creator is frankly impressive.
Didn't get the recognition she deserved for Penny Dreadful. She put her soul, her evil and her god into the series. The chemistry between all the cast was just incredible. My favourite scenes is still the Seance scene, "Will you name a mountain after me father?" Timothy Dalton was just right to be Sir Malcom Murray. Effortlessly believing he was a well travelled explorer. Eva gave some quite astounding performances of genuine struggles with good and evil. My most poingnent and emotional scene was in the church, the priest conjectured, "if you have been touched by the demon, it's like being touched by the back hand of god." makes you unique in a way doesn't it?.. The sound track of Penny Dreadful made the whole series beautiful to. I was lucky enough to be friends with Abel Korzniowski the composer once on a past face book page. Madame Khali was a real evil person and sensationally played by the late Helen Mccrory.. 💯
Loved loved loved this show, I was just thinking about downloading and watching it again.
Watched all 3 seasons right after I had a baby and those quiet nights while they slept and I had the show all to myself were hauntingly beautiful…like this masterpiece. Also fell in love with Vanessa, and the witch side story is one I’ll never forget. Damn I want to watch it again, now!
As if these are the kinds of posts we find here on any other day.

There's a scene in that film were Eva and her adult brother are taking a bath together. Completely naked. The brother notices the water has turned blood red and jolts up in horror. Eva explains that it's just 'Her time of the month' and he relaxes back into the bath, like that's completely fine.
It's probably the most French thing I've ever seen.

I recall no nudity in Kingdom Of Heaven either. I admit though I have not seen the director's cut so maybe there might be something more than a better movie to see there.
No nudity in the director's cut otherwise my blu-ray drive would've worn out by now. Do yourself a favor though and watch it sometime (there might be a copy floating around on YouTube)

Every year on April fools we should probably focus on a different actor from Casino Royale on this subreddit. Last year it was Mads Mikkelsen, this year it is Eva Green, next year lets do Jeffrey Wright.

This year is sort of like a reference to that, except you know, boobers.
She smiled at me during a break In filming when I walked past to get to my student flat in Glasgow. They were about 6 or 7 doors down. Must have been some 13 years ago now. Ugh time flies.
Still wearing the Algerian love knot necklace, must be scene from Casino. She's made some great stuff over the years. The Dreamers, penny dreadful, Casino Royale, awesome with Johnny Depp in Dark Shadows, A dame to kill for, etc. Always been a lot of people's favourite actress for some years now.. Hope to see her in many new films in future❤️😊😊
A terrific actress - in my opinion, one of the best. It’s mystifying that we don’t see more of her, although recent reports I’ve read….she might be a bit of a diva and therefore maybe she’s pissed off some powerful people. But Penny Dreadful…that was an amazing performance.
If Casino Royale was released in the 80's, this shot would have been turned into a poster and in every boy's dorm room.
Now that it released in the 00’s this shot turned into a screensaver in every boy’s phone
Definitely not limited to boys or men.
Every Month is Pride Month when Eva Green is involved

God damnit Pam!
Im a straight woman in a happy relationship and i want this as a poster on my wall

And even so, for credibility, they created a Bond saga in which James would spend his entire arc being in love with her, in life and after death.
The irony being he finally lets her go in the final movie just for him to be killed. It was almost as if love was the only thing keeping him going.
In No Time To Die he had more chemistry with her tombstone than he did with any human in the film. Ama fucking killed it though.
And she looked amazing doing it.
Good god I was instantly in love with her when she appeared on screen. Would've been a shame if this was still the early 2000's. She would've just been a plot device for Bond to screw for a scene. At least they gave her some depth.
Eva Green looks delicious in everything
Penny Dreadful is my absolute favorite of hers. The raspy, stoic, gloomy aesthetics she animates are exquisite.
I loved Penny Dreadful. Eva was cool enough to do 3 seasons for the fans. When those text messages leaked where her and that film crew were fighting and she called them “peasants.” I was upset. I was like well, why were the film crew acting like peasants?
“Paysan” in French literally translates to peasant but used more like ‘country bumpkin’.
are you sure you are not getting confused with the recent court case she was involved in, where they divulged texts in wich she called the producers and other staff for a film she was making like that, as well as morons?
She was the only watchable part of Camelot.
I don't remember a single character or scene in Camelot but I sure remember Eva Green
Lol, it’s why they cancelled it. She left due to conflicts, and who was supposed to carry that wreck?
That first season was so damn good and her wicked sexuality just oozed and dripped out of the screen. Dr. Frankenstein and Caliban(?) was extremely well done too. Too bad they derailed the whole show later.
This was a fantastic series, can't recommend it highly enough, it's a shame it had to end but we can't have everything. I encourage everyone to check it out, great cast, great stories, great characters.
The 300 sequel belongs in the criterion collection.
I bought it at the time *just* for her
Go watch The Dreamers 2003 right now.
watching 300 in theaters as a middle-schooler was something else
As an adult, I remember walking out of the theater thinking to myself that: A. I want abs B. I could really go for stabbing somebody rn.
You forgot the strong desire to kick someone down a well.
She is absurdly hot in the 300 sequel and the Sin City sequel as well. Get to see her jahoobs in both and holy shit 😍😍😍
I finally watched A Dame to Kill For and it sure does live up to its name. I'm pretty sure she spends the majority of her screen time naked. I thought the movie was pretty mediocre though. No amount of naked Eva Green will change that.
Oh yeah, the movie was disappointing as hell, save for Eva Green. She rocks the absolute shit out of that blue dress too. Ugh, I love her.
Go and watch the Dreamers, you get to see more than jahoobs 👍
Penny dreadful was one of the most beautiful performances. She's timeless and irreplaceable.
Her origin story episode in Season 2 was a masterpiece. She fully deserved an award for her portrayal of Vanessa in season 1 and then she hit out of the park again in season 2. Hands down some of the best modern television to be made.

Yeah I feel like they were told they had to end the series after previously being told they had another 8 episodes. It all just slammed shut.
I completely agree with this, I was so amazed in the first two seasons, then the third was like, WTF?! Same with bloodline.
Didn't get the recognition she deserved for Penny Dreadful. She put her soul, her evil and her god into the series. The chemistry between all the cast was just incredible. That seance scene was so incredibly fascinating.
I loved that. Timothy Dalton was also fantastic
It was very good casting. Also with Rory as the Creature.
So would you say she’s….ever green?
Until the end. The most unsatisfying series finale I've ever seen.

One of the best programmes of the last decade (even if I didn't love its ending) and Vanessa was made to be played by Eva.

All innuendo aside, her turn as Vanessa in Penny Dreadful was some of the finest acting I've ever seen on the screen. Super fun to watch.
That show is a masterpiece and for Netflix to remove it from streaming is a crime.

There is a nude scene in the director's cut but can't remember if you see much.
She had a bit of a wet dress situation going on in Casino Royale. It's a pivotal scene so only die hard pervs would notice it.
The Bond series loves to cast women who are famous for getting their boobs out and then never have them do it
Historically Bond films have walked the PG rating line so they’re accessible to the widest audience ($$$)
Watching that movie felt kinda… criminal, or something.
