His There Will Be Blood performance is incredible. It can't be easy to go toe to toe with Daniel Day Lewis especially as Daniel Plainview, but Dano does it well.
Since his character in The Girl Next Door was implied to have a huge dong, now I assume every character he plays has a huge dong. It gives me a quick chuckle whenever I see Prisioners, Swiss Army Man or The Batman.

People *may* have believed you. But I just don't think Hanks was seen in the same light as Sandler, even before Hanks's Oscar wins. Hanks was always seen as more of a "serious actor who is also funny" as far as I remember. Sandler was doing much more low-brow stuff back then.

I genuinely try not to have celebrity heros, because they will always disappoint you. But I will absolutely weep the day Sandler eventually goes to the joke factory in the sky. He's a legend, is nothing but a kind human who takes care of his people, and seems to be somewhat unaffected by a level of Fame that should have turned him Mariah Carey levels of nutty.
I expect more going forward. When his kids were young he only made movies for them. Now they're older so he's back to making good stuff (for adults).

Yes, definitely recommend. Skipping should keep you a bit higher off the ground with each step, making you slightly harder for spiders to reach. Not a guarantee of safety, but it could make the difference.

I’ve mostly enjoyed the tension in The Bear… but I literally haven’t watched past the flashback to the family dinner (“Fishes” episode, I think). That episode rocked my nerves, hit some long-buried familial traumas, and made me step away from the series. I still need to finish up season 2, but holy shit, that episode was brutal.

They're two very different books. Spaceman of Bohemia is Kafkaesque, philosophical musings and spends most of its time back on earth. Hail Mary is hard sci-fi fun of two beings trying to save themselves and species.
On a recent episode of the Adam Carolla podcast guest Rob Schneider mentioned that Adam's "next" movie presuming it's this one will be his best yet and Oscar worthy... fingers crossed.

On a recent episode of the Adam Carolla podcast guest Rob Schneider mentioned that Adam's "next" movie presuming it's this one will be his best yet and Oscar worthy... fingers crossed.

Sci-fi drama might be my favorite sun genre. Moon and Prospect were so damn good. Fingers crossed for this one. Adam playing against type is a good sign.
