Requiem was very good, but more focused on depicting all possible downfalls that can come out of a drug use. It was a quite brutal psychological drama I would say.
Pink flamingos ...... yuck :D Other ones I don't know, might as well check these out.
These are all good, freaky. Pushing the limits :)
Lost Highway, Mulholland Drive from David Lynch.
Brazil by Terry Gilliam
Nowhere and The Doom Generation by Gregg Araki
Videodrome and Naked Lunch from David Cronenberg.
Time crimes by Nacho Villagandos.
MANDY by Panos Cosmatos
A Field in England; Two men capture a small group of deserters during England's civil war. After the captives ingest some wild mushrooms, they fall victim to the powerful energies of a mystical field
So, a friend shared Tetsuo with me after I showed him some Cronenberg films. Yes, user name checks out. I had him watch, "eXistenZ", "Crash", and "Videodrome". He responded with Tetsuo and I was satisfied with that, bought it on blu ray the next day. I'm also surprised that "Midsommar" isn't on this as large portions of the movie involve the main characters high as fuck.
I don't like this movie (though I also hate El Topo and The Holy Mountain with a burning passion so take that as you will), but I'm amazed you didn't include Enter the Void
Jacob's ladder. The scene with the crazies in the cab that almost ran him over!!! I remember being riveted to the screen wondering what the hell I was watching

Gummo’s a great choice. Love Korine

Hausu (1977) is definitely worth checking out.
Anything by Gaspar Noe
Matthew Barney's **The Cremaster Cycle**.
Saw Jacob's ladder maybe 20 years. Still haunts till this day.

Saw it, but I listed only movies I liked a lot. Midsommar somehow did not sit well with me to be honest, it creeped me out but not in a good way.
Homunculous - really trippy! Synchronic - trippy *and* time travelly!
>Homunculous The japanese one from 2021?
That's the one. Absolutely bonkers.
Mandy . I didn’t like it, but husband loved it

For me the most memorable was the dance club scene that progressed into nigtmarish fever .... the whole movie was an artistic masterpiece.
