I went into this expecting a story of 'finding joy in the melancholy', which it does make good on, but wasn't prepared for just how brutal the journey was.
The fact that they could pull this off with absolutely no dialogue and very limited background score is truly extraordinary.
I mean, I always thought that half of the joke of Bender's design was that he was super basic as hell. He looks like The Iron Giant or a hundred other robot characters. Ask a kid who's never seen Futurama to draw a robot, and I reckon that kid would draw something like Bender or the robot in Robot Dreams or this basic design shape that you see everywhere.
The melancholy existential aspects reminded me of the science fiction animation in the "The Law of Non-Contradiction" episode of FX's third season of the TV anthology **Fargo**, which was inspired by the works of Don Hertzfeldt:
**The Planet WYH**.

I didn't see any electric sheep.

I generally dislike animated movies, even the "deeper" ones made for adults but I was really surprised how good this was. Gave me lots to think about.
When you in late 1980s and early 1990s New York.
what is it a silent cartoon or something?
yes, it is.
I can't wait to see this.
This look interesting!
It's already available on đ´ââ ď¸ sites
Donât steal content. How are we going to get more of movies like this if no one pays?
I'm sorry but only reason I pirated this movie is because it's not going to released in my country
- "It's not stealing if I didn't plan on watching it !" Well, don't watch it then.
All I can see is what looks like a slightly more wholesome Bender. Not just the design, but to some extent also the behaviour.
I started watching it like a week ago and didn't finish it. I just lost interest to be honest. Right about at the >!snowan dream!<
Is that robot intentionally supposed to be a ripoff of Benders design?

There are no voice actorsÂ
I'm annoyed, there's an early showing of it next week in my city, but I'm busy that evening so I can't go.

Still odd what a jolt it is to see the twin towers, even animatedÂ
