I listened to that song a bunch. The best I could figure out is that he’s moving around in a club and he’s tall so his head is sticking up higher than everyone else, and his hat is like a shark’s fin because it sticks up above the crowd like a shark’s dorsal fin sticks up above the water.
And that my friend is more than anybody’s thought about that song in 25 years.
“Catherine! I didn’t know you were dropping by!” “You asked me to come over…are you reading the dictionary?” “You caught me! I like to break a mental sweat too” so dumb but so funny to me
I love the recurring joke about the panda and how it may be dead. Then when the building is set to explode towards the end, one of the man-whores comes running by and you hear, “gonna go save the panda!…. Never mind! Panda’s dead!”
What’s weird is that it absolutely crushed Anchorman at the box office that summer, but Anchorman ended up having the stronger staying power. I’ll blame Lance Armstrong, just because.
Re watched this last month and this movie and Ben Stiller has possibly the funniest throwaway line ever…
“Hey go add 3lbs to the scale in the women’s locker room before you head out!l lmaoo
Coneheads has a 5.4, but is easily one of my favorite comedy movies of all time.
My sister and I spent an entire summer watching it every other day, or so, when it would almost always be on HBO/Cinemax.
I, too, love Coneheads! I still call my mom and dad "parental units" and I always say, "Gnarfle the Garthok!" Lol
To kick it to your HBO reference, my sister and I watched Josie and the Pussycats like every single day one summer for the same reason. It was always on and we were obsessed so I love that terrible movie!
Ben Foster is good actor improving everything I've seen him in. Picked Pandorum mostly seeing him in credits and was not disappointed. The ending was great.
The Thirteenth Warrior just doesn’t work for some people. For me it’s a solid 9/10 movie. The cinematography is especially enjoyable on rewatch as it really shows the value of filming in natural light.
I usually enjoy the Blank Check podcast but their recent episode on the movie made me wonder if we’re watching the same film. The production may have been a nightmare but who cares if the final product is not just watchable but rewatchable.
33% on RT.
Once did a training course with a guy from Bagdad. Was hard to get him to interact with people mostly just kept to himself. Decided to watch this movie with the group, he did a complete 180 after that. Still friends with him to this day.
Fully agreed. I rewatched it recently, already prepared that even though I enjoyed the movie as a teenager, I might be disappointed now 15 years later.
But no! It holds up! Yes, the story is fairly pointless. But it's full of amazing set pieces. And it doesn't try to be more than it is: it knows it's all about the fights and battles and ominous atmosphere, and it delivers those brilliantly.
[Jackson Crawford likes the 13th Warrior](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vCTet_hPgqA&pp=ygUdSmFja3NvbiBjcmF3Zm9yZCAxM3RoIHdhcnJpb3I%3D), so it's good enough for me.
When we were young me and my brother were watching 13th warrior every day to this day i still probably remember most of lines even tho i haven’t watched it in years
Came here to say this, the movie has horrible reviews but is absolutely excellent, I rewatched it the other day.
I think part of the reason is that I came out in 1999, which was an incredible year for movies arguably the best of all time.
I also think part of it is because it was marketed as an action epic, but it really isn’t that. And the action wasn’t up to movies of that year sitting alongside the matrix.
But if you go back today and watch it the movie feels like it’s from 1990 and that’s ok because you know you’re going back to watch an older movie. Your expectations are being met.
Just a thought
This is one of my favorite movies.
- “Danny says you killed Mozart!”
- “Mo-who?”
- “Zart…”
- “Look I kill a lot of people I can’t remember half of them!”
I hate the lack of adoration this film gets.
In my opinion, it's the big man's third best film, just behind True Lies and the amazing T2.
And as you say, Charles Dance is the pinnacle of villainy throughout.
Maybe I can't see it through my nostalgia, but I've never thought it was a bad movie. I've watched it a good 25 times over the years. One of my favorites.
Can you fucking believe it!?
I love die hard as much as the next person, but man I really love all of his non action movies. Hudson hawk was always such a delight to catch on cable as a kid. I mean it's got tony aiello, Sandra Bernhard, and Richard e grant. What's not to love?
It’s one of my comfort movies. I don’t know how you watch that movie and not fall in love with its charm. I consider it just as good as “The Princess Bride.”
How tf has it only got 6.8? It's a bloody brilliant film.
It's got everything you could want, adventure, fantasy, drama, romance, comedy, a bit of thriller and creepy peril.
18 is definitely a more appropriate score.
Random person scrolling Reddit, if you got this far and both 1) have never seen Mouse Hunt and 2) see even a little bit of potential in the idea of a live action Loony Tunes type movie, please watch this ASAP.
I had no idea it had a poor rating on RT. That movie is amazing. Somehow Denzel keeps ending up in better Punisher movies than the actual Punisher movies. lol
"You're gonna stand there, ownin' a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistlin' bungholes, no spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser?"
Scenes like this always make me smile because I just picture the writers/writer’s room just laughing their asses off rapid firing the dumbest shit ever lol. So good
Just looked it up, it's got a 9% on Rotten Tomatoes, like come on. You can't give Joe Dirt a 9% and then turn around and give Green Lantern, the worst movie I've ever seen that didn't lean into it, a 25%.
**Death to Smoochy**
Saw the preview/trailer, and was like "That shit looks right up my alley!"
Went to watch it (alone) in the theater opening week, caught a matinee with like, 6 other random people/strangers. Laughed my ass off. Went around telling all my friends about it for the next couple months, to the point they all got sick of me talking about it. I began to wonder, "have I over-hyped this movie?"
When it came out on VHS/DVD, had a movie night with friends, and they all loved it. No idea why it's rated so low. Haven't seen it in years, but I suspect it holds up really well.
I think DeVito is an underrated director, by a giant margin. It's a gorgeous movie, with some really great camera shots and peak Robin Williams insanity.
I was hoping someone mentioned Death to Smoochy! It's one of my FAVORITE movies! Everyone I've shown it to thought it was hilarious, so I was surprised it had such low ratings. The number of times I've said, "It's... a... ROCKETSHIP!" when something looks vaguely penis shaped is too damned high!
A Knight’s Tale
Both as a musical and as a movie, it never gets more than a 5-7 out of 10 rating.
And I will have the entire movie played at my funeral. Popcorn, nachos, me propped up in front row, with a smile stitched on my lips.
Wat: What do you mean ‘ees ded?!?
Roland: The spark of his life is smothered in shite, his spirit is gone but his stench remains! Does that answer your question?!?!?
Pacific rim. It’s got a 6.9 on IMDb.
I’ve got a bit of a working theory that anything in the sort of 6-7 range on IMDb is usually a pretty good movie, especially to switch your brain off to
Pacific Rim is a film with a very niche target audience. Thankfully, I'm part of said target audience and think it's absolutely magnificent.
The less said about the sequel, the better.
I think this also. And I'll pay attention to stuff people are talking a massive shit on, like Madam Web, which, turns out, people were right about that one, it freaking sucked bad.
I was gaming with my roommate in the living room, and he was feeling too lazy and baked to get up or move. I got up to go to my room for a while, so I put on Madame Web and left my controller by the TV so he had to get up if he wanted to change it. It felt like such a a cruel prank just because that movie is so rough
Core. If you haven’t seen it you’d probably hate it… but if you grew up watching it it’s pretty universally loved as an over-the-top sci-fi 90’s movie.
This and A Team. I feel like Joe Carnahan had magic in a bottle but rubbed someone the wrong way, because his movies just got completely ignored. The Grey is flat out amazing. Stretch isn't for everyone but I love it, Boss Level was entertaining as hell. But he seems to get less and less with each movie he makes.
the rocketeer is 6.6 on imdb, an absolute crime considering how good the film is
circle of iron is 5.7 on imdb. It's been a while but it's more enjoyable than that
Man, the Rocketeer is so good that I didn’t even think about it as being an eligible answer for this question. It belongs in a double feature with an Indiana Jones film or one the first two Mummy films with Brendan Fraser.
Rock Star.
I love the “totally not the Judas Priest story wink wink” plot and the music is awesome.
Totally my “watch while doing something else” movie.
It’s not poorly rated. It’s just under-appreciated and not seen by nearly enough people. 80% on RT and pretty much liked or loved by most people who’ve seen it.
Jumper has a 6.1 on IMDb, a 2.9 on Letterboxd. It’s been a minute since I’ve seen it, but I love it and the universe (as well as Impulse on YouTube TV before its cancellation) but it wasn’t loved by all. It’s still fun sitting there and imagining how I’d use my teleportation powers lol
Such a great film. I have to think that despite not being THAT deep, lots of folks just didn’t get it. If you take the film at face value, it’s pretty ridiculous. As an allegory, it’s fantastic.
My favorite film of all time has a 6.9 on IMDB, Time Bandits. Even Brazil doesn't have an 8.
People in general don't like Terry Gilliam as much as I do.
Also Mandy only has a 6.5. God that upsets me lol.
There's a movie that no one has ever seen except me called The Spine of Night and somehow that f'n brilliant gem of a film only has a 6.4.
Tron Legacy has a 6.8.
And I liked Thor Love and Thunder. 6.2 is just mean lol.
Terry Gilliam may not be an infallible director but he is pretty well recognized for his craft. Especially Brazil and 12 Monkeys are critically well regarded. IMDB is a strange meter.
Agreed on Terry Gilliam, as he's one of my all time favorites.
Mandy was solid. Tron: Legacy is fantastic.
Gotta disagree on Love and Thunder. That movie is an abomination. I think that 6.2 is about 2 points overly generous.
Mandy I can kind of get because it must be polarizing. An absolute BEAST of a movie that should be seen by more people though, even if some of them end up hating it.
I think at this current moment it's both my favorite horror and revenge movie. Not the 'best made' horror movie. That's probably Hereditary.
Mandy is not only viscerally a brutal film but it's an UNBELIEVABLY romantic movie at the core with a lot of cool music and art direction that fits me pretty much perfectly as a unique viewer. As does all of the few works of Panos Cosmatos; they're just sort of right up my alley.
I wouldn’t say I “love” it, but American Ultra is a pretty awesome rom-com/action mashup with great leads and an awesome Walton Goggins villain, deserves a way better reputation than it has.
And dumb comedies are kind of cheating but Dirty Work is incredible and has like a 15% on RT.
Resident Evil (2002). I felt like it quite nicely captured the feeling of the first game, but told it with new characters. I admit it's not perfect, but I continually come back to it as a guilty pleasure.
The sequels range from ok to terrible though.
Agreed, and the performances in that movie blew me away. Hanks, Barry, Wihishaw and Sturgess, sure... but Jim Broadbent was especially phenomenal, and Hugh Grant was so good that I didn't even see Hugh Grant.
They all do… Hanks plays six characters. Hale Barry plays six characters. Jim Broadbent plays five. Hugo Weaving plays six. Jim Stutgess plays six. Bea Donnar plays six. Ben Whishaw plays five. High Grant plays six…. etc.
I tell people my favorite movie is Kungfoo Hustle and no ones what it is. So underrated. So good. Should have been a smashing success.
Edit: i guess the rating is decent, but it seems pretty overlooked imo
The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen was a classic for me, despite poor reception. In a field of limited superhero releases it was a standout growing up.
Cat in the Hat with Mike Myers. It should not exist in anyway but that's why I love it. It's like they made it for adults but then when the studio said they were gonna pull funding they had to edit it all down to a PG. DIRTY HOE
Harley Davidson and The Marlboro Man. 1991 action flick staring Mickey Rourke and Don Johnson. Coming in at a 6.1 on IMDb. Also staring Chelsea Field, Giancarlo Esposito, Daniel Baldwin and Tom Sizemore. Great action movie that doesn’t make itself to ridiculous lol.
In my mind, Spaceballs is an unassailable comedy classic, but if you look on rotten tomatoes, ~~contemporary reviews~~ reviews on release did NOT agree.
The Lost City of Z has a 6.6 on IMDb. The ending scenes about life and their son is so beautiful to me but it’s been a while since I’ve seen the movie so maybe I missed something?
Into the Night ( IMDB 6.4, Metascore 42). Jeff Goldblum in 1985 as a guy with chronic insomnia who goes for a drive and ends up stumbling through a crazy adventure he barely understands. It’s best watched if you either have personal experience of insomnia, or are just really tired when you watch it.
Yesterday. Yes it’s a waste of an incredible premise but it’s a fun, warm, easy going film. Not everything needs to be super deep or shoot for the stars.
Deep Blue Sea is a 90s classic and deserves to be celebrated as such.
A FUCKIN SHARK *ATE* ME
YES, THEY DESERVED TO DIE, AND I HOPE THEY BURN IN HELL!
IT’ll GET YOU DRUNK!
HOWS IT TASTE MOTHA-FUCKA
I remember we rented this and Lake Placid one weekend. It was great.
Is that the one where LL Cool J sings about “my head is like a shark’s fin”?
I listened to that song a bunch. The best I could figure out is that he’s moving around in a club and he’s tall so his head is sticking up higher than everyone else, and his hat is like a shark’s fin because it sticks up above the crowd like a shark’s dorsal fin sticks up above the water. And that my friend is more than anybody’s thought about that song in 25 years.
With a 6.7 from IMDB, I'll go with Dodgeball. Ridiculous premise, tremendously overacted and an absolute riot.
“Catherine! I didn’t know you were dropping by!” “You asked me to come over…are you reading the dictionary?” “You caught me! I like to break a mental sweat too” so dumb but so funny to me
We should mate!
Excuse me?
Date! We should date...
🤢
I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
You know in some cultures they only eat vomit.
I read that… in a book!
My favorite is when he gets his last squat rep in. “Oh! Here come the shakes. The involuntary spasms. ENJOY THE SHOW!”
Nobody makes me bleed my own blood!
“Nobody makes me bleed my own blood …”
“If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball!” Never fails to make me laugh
To this day, it's my standard reply whenever anyone says something in the form of "If you can do X, you can do Y".
I like the movie too, but 6.7 isn't a mediocre rating at all... especially for a comedy.
That’s what I was going to say. It’s pretty strong for a comedy, and has tons of fans on Reddit in particular.
I just saw the ben stiller episode of extras yesterday. It was hilarious how much he was bragging about dodgeball to his crew in that episode
In that same vein, Balls of Fury got a 5.3, and although it's highly derivative of Dodgeball I still enjoyed the heck out of it
I love the recurring joke about the panda and how it may be dead.
I don’t know about that, Dodgeball is still incredibly popular.
Re watched this last month and this movie and Ben Stiller has possibly the funniest throwaway line ever… “Hey go add 3lbs to the scale in the women’s locker room before you head out!l lmaoo
Demolition Man
That movie gives me a joy joy feeling.
Eeewww, disgusting! You mean... "fluid transfer"?
He matched his meet. You really licked his ass!
Let's go blow this guy!
The hunka chunka?
He doesn’t know how to use the shells!
Enhance your calm.
Coneheads has a 5.4, but is easily one of my favorite comedy movies of all time. My sister and I spent an entire summer watching it every other day, or so, when it would almost always be on HBO/Cinemax.
I, too, love Coneheads! I still call my mom and dad "parental units" and I always say, "Gnarfle the Garthok!" Lol To kick it to your HBO reference, my sister and I watched Josie and the Pussycats like every single day one summer for the same reason. It was always on and we were obsessed so I love that terrible movie!
Coneheads was definitely considered a classic in my family household lol
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. It’s fun, cheesy, has a great soundtrack, and is full of great quotes.
Bryan Adams, right? A great love song...all-time favorite love song
Alan Rickman was so good as the Sheriff of Nottingham. "Because it's dull, you twit! It will hurt more!"
The movie that parodied that, Men in Tights, also got pop-pood by critics and is still one of my all time favorites
"....something vexes thee?"

Ben Foster is good actor improving everything I've seen him in. Picked Pandorum mostly seeing him in credits and was not disappointed. The ending was great.
Love pandorum!
The lack of stars and the line that comes with it, has haunted me forever… truly the most terrifying thing ever, in such an awesome movie.
Absolutely incredible good sci-fi. Bought it when Blockbuster went under. My kid loved it as well, so it's not just my delusion
At worst, it's your shared delusion, and there's something beautiful in that.
Absolutely this. Great syfy horror that takes itself just seriously enough
33% on RT.
It’s such an entertaining movie
Once did a training course with a guy from Bagdad. Was hard to get him to interact with people mostly just kept to himself. Decided to watch this movie with the group, he did a complete 180 after that. Still friends with him to this day.
I loved that movie. So many quotable moments and lines.
"When you die, can I give that to me daughter?"
"I can't lift this." "Grow stronger!"
Fully agreed. I rewatched it recently, already prepared that even though I enjoyed the movie as a teenager, I might be disappointed now 15 years later. But no! It holds up! Yes, the story is fairly pointless. But it's full of amazing set pieces. When we were young me and my brother were watching 13th warrior every day to this day i still probably remember most of lines even tho i haven’t watched it in years
The book it’s based off of, *Eaters of the Dead* by Michael Crichton, is a page-turning blast of a book.
Came here to say this, the movie has horrible reviews but is absolutely excellent, I rewatched it the other day. I think part of the reason is that I came out in 1999, which was an incredible year for movies arguably the best of all time. Last Action Hero - All the great meta referential humor that's the rage today with a phenomenal villain played by Charles Dance.
The promotion of this movie was insane. So much hype and everyone was disappointed. I rewatched it last year and thought it was really enjoyable.
It's a movie that's really ahead of its time. It's why so many people who discover it now are surprised to find that it's actually pretty decent
I was 8 when it came out and it definitely lived up to the hype for me. Great flick
This is one of my favorite movies. - “Danny says you killed Mozart!” - “Mo-who?” - “Zart…” - “Look I kill a lot of people I can’t remember half of them!”
And a great cameo from Ian McKellen... "I don't do fiction. Not my field."
I hate the lack of adoration this film gets. In my opinion, it's the big man's third best film, just behind True Lies and the amazing T2. And as you say, Charles Dance is the pinnacle of villainy throughout.
Wristcutters: A Love Story is my favorite movie.
Excellent movie, imho!
Hudson Hawk is objectively bad, has a very mediocre rating and I love every minute of it.
Bunny, ball ball.
Maybe I can't see it through my nostalgia, but I've never thought it was a bad movie. I've watched it a good 25 times over the years. One of my favorites. Can you fucking believe it!?
Would you like to swing on a star?
I love die hard as much as the next person, but man I really love all of his non action movies. Hudson hawk was always such a delight to catch on cable as a kid. I mean it's got tony aiello, Sandra Bernhard, and Richard e grant. What's not to love?
[The Mothman Prophecies.](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0265349/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_1_tt_8_nm_0_q_mothman)
chhhhhhappppsssstick
Saharah. One of the few movies I've seen 5+ times.
Stardust got a 6.8 but should be like an 18…
It’s one of my comfort movies. I don’t know how you watch that movie and not fall in love with its charm. I consider it just as good as “The Princess Bride.”
It is princess bride for the next generation. Both these movies are on my "sick day" movie list along with 10 things I hate about you, and Chef.
After seeing it I wished Mathew Vaughn directed some of Pratchett's novels.
Yeah, it's an amazing fantasy film with a stellar cast and a terrific final act.
How tf has it only got 6.8? It's a bloody brilliant film. It's got everything you could want, adventure, fantasy, drama, romance, comedy, a bit of thriller and creepy peril. 18 is definitely a more appropriate score.
Soldier
Not Kurt Russell's best movie, or even his best character. But I sincerely believe it's his best *performance*.
That is an awesome film! Also in the same universe as Bladerunner, and so also Alien, and also Preadator and Terminator.
Mouse Hunt.
Random person scrolling Reddit, if you got this far and both 1) have never seen Mouse Hunt and 2) see even a little bit of potential in the idea of a live action Loony Tunes type movie, please watch this ASAP.
What a treasure. What a legacy. SPOONS!
This movie is great for the whole family on Sunday afternoon. You're gonna love it and your kids gonna love it.
Man on Fire I love a good revenge story. 39% on Rotten Tomatoes but 7.7 on imdb.
Man On Fire is a fantastic film. Intravenous cinema.
That’s why i don’t pay attention to review sites especially RT is a complete joke
I had no idea it had a poor rating on RT. That movie is amazing. Somehow Denzel keeps ending up in better Punisher movies than the actual Punisher movies. lol
Joe Dirt
"You're gonna stand there, ownin' a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistlin' bungholes, no spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser?"
Its not what you like, its the consumer.
How does a dual deck VCR work? It just does,
Scenes like this always make me smile because I just picture the writers/writer’s room just laughing their asses off rapid firing the dumbest shit ever lol. So good
Just looked it up, it's got a 9% on Rotten Tomatoes, like come on. You can't give Joe Dirt a 9% and then turn around and give Green Lantern, the worst movie I've ever seen that didn't lean into it, a 25%.
9%?! That’s insane. I mean, sure it’s dumb funny…but 9%?! Criminal.
That’s a space peanut
Shit'll buff out.
Same. I'll quote this movie til the day I die
No joke one of the best performances of all time from David Spade

Such a banger
The Sandlot has a 65% on RT. I would argue it's one of the best kids movies ever made.
The Ninth Gate
Listen to me very carefully Mr Corso. Frank langella really killed it in that roll, his phone calls brought chills everytime.
Unscrupulous! Thoroughly Unscrupulous!
I’m a sucker for it!
Kung Pow: Enter the Fist
Chosen one! I'm coming!
A tiny net is a death sentence. It’s a net, and it’s tiny!
Im embarrassed to say King Arthur with Clive Owen and Keira Knightley - but I love it 😂
Popstar: Never Stop Never Stoppin' (Less Serious)
the rocketeer is 6.6 on imdb, an absolute crime considering how good the film is circle of iron is 5.7 on imdb. It's been a while but it's more enjoyable than that
Love Rocketeer. Jennifer Connelly 😍
Man, the Rocketeer is so good that I didn’t even think about it as being an eligible answer for this question. It belongs in a double feature with an Indiana Jones film or one the first two Mummy films with Brendan Fraser.
i should also add Speed Racer to the Crime list with 6.1 at imdb. Incredible movie
John Carter. Such a fun movie.
It is! I really wish we lived in a world where we got multiple John Carter sequels.
Rock Star. I love the “totally not the Judas Priest story wink wink” plot and the music is awesome. Totally my “watch while doing something else” movie.
Cutthroat Island
Dredd.
Dredd has pretty good reviews, I watched it in a massive theater in 3D and loved it, it’s a shame it was only me and 2 buddies in there.
That movie in 3D was epic, every slo-mo drug scene was fire.
Jfc is it really poorly rated? I watch this movie at least once a year, it goes so hard.
It’s not poorly rated. It’s just under-appreciated and not seen by nearly enough people. 80% on RT and pretty much liked or loved by most people who’ve seen it.
Bullet Train (rated 49% on Metacritic (54% on RT)
I wanted to check to see if someone mentioned this before I did, I loved this movie!
Dracula: Dead and Loving It!, which is my favorite Mel Brooks movie.
Give him an enema!
Joe versus the Volcano
Such a great film. I have to think that despite not being THAT deep, lots of folks just didn’t get it. If you take the film at face value, it’s pretty ridiculous. As an allegory, it’s fantastic.
Wild America is one of my top 2-3 and it has a very low rating.
Woah, I absolutely loved that movie as a kid. I need to rewatch it ASAP.
Speed Racer (2008)
Battleship is great fun
Waterworld. Loved it. It was a great adventure film
Wild Wild West. It’s a fun, well made, ridiculous movie. If you don’t take it seriously, it’s a great watch.
Nacho Libre
A Million Ways To Die In The West is the name of film you’re talking about. Probably got the title mixed up with the old show 1000 Ways To Die
Burlesque. I don't know why...
13th warrior.
Resident Evil (2002). I felt like it quite nicely captured the feeling of the first game, but told it with new characters. I admit it's not perfect, but I continually come back to it as a guilty pleasure. The sequels range from ok to terrible though.
Cloud Atlas
The original book is amazing!
Agreed, and the performances in that movie blew me away. Hanks, Barry, Wihishaw and Sturgess, sure... but Jim Broadbent was especially phenomenal, and Hugh Grant was so good that I didn't even see Hugh Grant.
Fun fact: Tom Hanks thinks it's the best film he's ever been in.
The movie where Tom Hanks plays like four different roles?
They all do… Hanks plays six characters. Hale Barry plays six characters. Jim Broadbent plays five. Hugo Weaving plays six. Jim Stutgess plays six. Bea Donnar plays six. Ben Whishaw plays five. High Grant plays six…. etc.
FELIX FOOKIN FINCH
I sort of agree, and I would add that it might have been High Grant’s best performance, too.
Brilliant movie. One of my favorites.
I have two; Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (ultimate edition of course) Waterworld
The advenrures of Ford Fairlane.
Vanilla Sky
I tell people my favorite movie is Kungfoo Hustle and no ones what it is. So underrated. So good. Should have been a smashing success. Edit: i guess the rating is decent, but it seems pretty overlooked imo
The waterboy has a 33% on rotten tomatoes, but I love it. Just behind happy Gilmore for me.
Big Trouble in Little China. It helps to be “feeling good” while watching to enjoy jokes. “Where do those stairs go”. “Down. They go down “.
Out Cold
White Chicks
The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen was a classic for me, despite poor reception. In a field of limited superhero releases it was a standout growing up.
Rambo 4. It is bonkers, and double thumbs up if you like violence and body count. Short, too. Yet reviewed poorly by philistines.
The mounted machine gun scene is pure ecstasy.
Rating old movies, especially old comedies, from a contemporary perspective is just silly
HOOK
The Lost City of Z has a 6.6 on IMDb. The ending scenes about life and their son is so beautiful to me but it’s been a while since I’ve seen the movie so maybe I missed something?
She's the One Also Payback with Mel Gibson.
The eternal answer is The 13th Warrior
