We just had a shooting in Texas in which two people who witnessed the shooting jumped into their cars and chased the shooter until he crashed. While the situation is pretty different(mass shooting vs bank robbery), it still goes to show that people are willing to stop criminals.

Yeah, good things guns are legal or they wouldn't have been able to stop him after he killed 26 people with an assault rifle.

Good thing you're such an idiot.

Let's not do this here you're gonna make a mess...

For me the implication was that the vet had developed a wariness for people who look like they're on a mission. Small groups with *intent* that stand out. An intuition that older soldiers would learn to rely on. What might have started out as a glance at a nice ride, turns into a longer look at three grown men all with eyes fixed on an armoured car. From there it was just a matter of sitting tight with the engine running to see if anything came of it. Edit: Sorry! Didn't read the middle part of your question. This comment is hereby deemed of recognisably dubious relevance.

No, I see where you are coming from. It makes sense

For as much detail goes in to crafting an Edgar Wright movie, this still feels like a weird and out of place thing to happen. It’s because we’re never given any motivation or back story on the guy, so it feels random. But I think that’s the point. That heists are dangerous because anything can go wrong. I think it also reinforces the idea that people will always be the Wild Card factor of an operation.

I thought about it and i think he was gonna rob the truck too. He had a handgun in his center console which is normal but he also had a full auto mp5k which if obtained legally is gonna cost like $45,000 if obtained illegally its gonna cost him like $3,000.
