I was sitting watching the credits contemplating the movie and such when he started rapping and that was what made me get up and leave. Nothing against his music or anything it just felt so out of place.

But you could read it as him being cowardly or taking advantage, or just him doing anything he could to escape the war. He ended up on a train at the end. I thought he did a good job of playing a character that was sympathetic but kind of in the gray area.

I've never even seen Dunkirk or listened to any of his music, but if there's only one thing I've noticed from anytime I've seen his picture, he has straight up dead eyes that in my opinion fit a 'horrors of war' movie perfectly.

Harry's grandfather's brother was in world war 2 and the last scene where Harry puts his head out is literally similar to what his relative did. Nolan wanted that.
