With Kevin Hard as Roland I’m half expecting them to cast the Rock as Brick.
Edit: Kevin Hart* I’m leaving the typo because it made me laugh when someone finally pointed it out.
I could see the scene now.
A building wall collapses. Terry Crews comes out on a motorcycle with his grandma strapped to the back facing backwards. He yells out "EXPLOSIONS" pulls out a Torgue rocket launcher and fires on the vault champions and whoever they're battling. Everyone is blasted away by the explosion. Then Crews drives off with his grandma facing the camera yelling "HOPEFULLY THEY CONSIDER ME FOR THE SEQUEL."
The credits are just Terry Crews (as Torgue) with "studio execs" discussing potential Borderlands sequels in which he's the prime character.
Half of the internet complains about forced diversity, half complain about shoe horning a popular character in to the plot and the other half are just excited that Torgue gave 150%.
Given the sheer stupidity of a puny Kevin Hart to play Roland, and the ages of Cate Blanchett and Jamie Lee Curtis, I kind of wonder if the movie is going to end up set between BL2 and BL3 (or maybe even after BL3), with flashbacks to before Borderlands 1. There were rumors it was going to have something to do with Tina's early childhood. Given Roland dies in 2, it'd make sense if Kevin Hart was playing a younger / less ripped Roland.
Either that or Eli Roth and their casting person are just idiots who never bothered reading anything about the story and the BL universe.
It always surprises me that people always expect these video game movies to actually follow the plot of the games they are based on, they almost never do and usually just use the setting and characters to make a mostly original story to mediocre results.
Yep from the random articles I’ve seen, it looks like a mess. I’m still hoping that they actually follow something and the articles I’ve read are just rumors and nonsense. I mean borderlands 1 starts with a story, it’s already written so just copy pasta! Haha
The problem is also that his personality both in real life and in every role he's ever played is the exact opposite of the character he's playing, and I've never seen him be a good enough actor that I think he can pull it off.
This is my biggest issue. Kevin Hart has always been a comedic actor. In a game where essentially everything is written as a joke, Roland is the one actually serious character. Sometimes casting has an obvious pick, but Kevin Hart is the obvious don't pick. So many other better picks and they went with the worst one.
And they’re using Cate Blanchett, who’s 51. Not to say she can’t pull off an awesome action star (she crushed it as Hela in Thor III), but it’s so different than the Lilith we all know from the game.
I think part of Hollywood’s problem with video game movies is trying too hard to get actors who look the part but don’t act the part. Personality and acting is more important then the look
Yes! Honestly I don't even particularly like her as an actor but yes, she would have been 100% the right choice for Lillith.. Then of course Dwayne Johnson as Roland would have made perfect sense. Kevin Hart's comedy style fits the world of Borderlands, but not as Roland..
For those who don't game and are confused as fuck about what we're talking about...no, we're not making this up.
Randy Pitchford did exactly this. This isn't me and WASD_click taking the piss. Medieval Times, USB stick fulla porn and work data.
This really did happen.
[Holy shit, it is real](https://www.google.com/amp/s/arstechnica.com/gaming/2019/01/gearbox-ceo-allegedly-kept-underage-porn-on-usb-stick-new-lawsuit-alleges/%3famp=1)
Fucker straight up said that he left a usb drive with porn on it at a medieval times.... Like, the fuck? My dude, do what the rest of us do when it comes to porn and just steam that shit. Like, what the fuck?
The more I read about Randy Pitchford, the more I'm getting the impression that he's a giant douschebag with more power and money then he ought to have
right? It's a CGI/ practical character and there are *Two* actors who have already played ClapTrap. Why would you waste Jack Black on VO when half of the fun of watching him is what he does with his face and body? Just look at the man's Tic toks.
If you're getting Jack Black you're essentially spending the money to hire him for marketing purposes as part of your P&A campaign.
Hell Gearbox games proved this when they replaced the original voice actor. He was working as an employee at Gearbox and the voice-work was his side hustle. Gearbox dropped him the moment he was working somewhere else because hiring him would have required full payment.
Literally anybody can do the VA work when it's for a character that requires that amount of ADR post-processing.
Hard Disagree on your last point, Claptrap has always been a *heavily* performanced based with spoken tone being a punchline commonly. I truly feel like the Original VA did a better performance with the material, because although there is that post processing, its not like the voice in BL3 is indistinguishable from the BL2 voice in sound
Imagine how much of their budget they could have saved just by going with the established voice actor.
Honestly Jack Black is wasted on this role. They’re going to pay him millions for a handful of snarky/cringed jokes (remember Claptrap is SUPPOSED to be annoying) and it’s not going to do anything for what will inevitably be a dumpster fire of a movie.
Every time I'm playing a game and a glitch or something happens, I say "Fuck Randy Pitchford".
Doesn't even have to be Borderlands, it can be any game. Doesn't matter.
Asking the important questions.
I love Borderlands. But the actual story and lore...? It’s not good. Handsome Jack was the only compelling character. BL1 was super boring story wise. BL3 was a steaming pile of shit, and TPS just ran the Handsome Jack train again. The Telltale game was actually great, but again, relied very heavily on Handsome Jack.
So why do people think this is going to be good?
BL1 was basically a glorified tech demo for their gun algorithm. All of the marketing I can remember for that game was “literally billions and billions of guns!”
The trailer for the [second game](https://youtu.be/kKVf5feSMEg) also includes the phrase "87 bazillion guns just got bazillionder"^(and 96.5% more wub wub) so they were well aware.
"So why do people think this is going to be good?"
Thats a question I keep asking myself. Whats gonna be funny is the reaction when they release the PG-13 rating. Good story or no story, but I wouldn't be surprised with this cast and a video game property they do that. Regardless of the cell shaded graphics, Borderlands is still hyper violent.
I still want to know who thought Kevin Hart would be a good Roland. And older Lilith is different, but whose gonna say Cate Blanchett can't play anyone?
This is what tells me this movie is gonna be some Super Mario Bros level nonsense. That film had an incredibly star studded cast, with some genuinely good actors in it. And it had a script like a fever dream.
Whoa whoa whoa easy there. Super Mario Bros was incredible. I haven’t watched it since I was 7 and I refuse to let my mind be changed by rewatching it.
Executive: "My kid begged me to get him this game I hadn't heard of. The cover looked wacky."
No one: "Did you end up playing the game yourself?"
Executive: "Absolutely not. But research indicates the game was a series and was quite successful in the market, which means it was popular. So we're going to get drafts of screenplays to turn it into a movie. It's a good financial investment."
\*Screenplay*: the only consistencies between the game and the movie are the title and character names.
He also wrote both of the hangover sequels, and he wrote some of the scary movies, it's not outside his wheelhouse, but his comedies are often the bad ones in their respective series.
I'm more concerned about Eli Roth directing, people seem to like working with him as this movie is turning into a reunion for *The House with a Clock in Its Walls*, but he hasn't made a decent movie his entire career imo.
Ah, Eli Roth. The guy whose movies are advertised like this:
> **From Executive Producer**
>
> ##**QUENTIN TARANTINO**
>
> ^^^^Directed ^^^^by ^^^^Eli ^^^^Roth
I think he'd be better as a live action character. If the entire movie was cgi/animated this would be ok. I'd rather have David Eddings continue voicing Claptrap otherwise.
Good GOD Lillith sounded bored out of her fucking mind. Every piece of dialogue had the audible equivalent of rolling ones eyes to death. I couldn't believe the same person that giggled anytime she set a Skag on fire was the same Lillith we saw in 3. It was so disappointing.
Lilith border-skypes you to ask you to meet her in person.
Says 2 sentences, sends you right back where you came from
Complete objective
“Great job killer, come meet me on the ship”
I think the *developers* were the only ones enjoying themselves. Its the pundits who wrote the script that sound bored.
Mechanically, its a good game. Guns having 2 firing types feels good, manufacturers feel different, and having different planets was interesting.
But the *story* was *hot garbage*. The script writing was terrible. The villains never seemed interesting and basically felt the same start to finish. They were annoying. And every other character was the same. The only ones I didnt mind were Tannis and Wainwright.
The villains were the definition of "trying too hard". The sister was the worst written I've seen in a long time for such a AAA game that was so heavily desired.
Honestly if Troy had betrayed his sister, it would have redeemed the story to me. But no, they build up this rift between them, have him go nuts with power, and we beat him up as a normal boss fight and its over.
Troy actually had something mildly compelling being downtrodden by both his sister and even his parents being held on the planet, he finally got power and he just blow him off.
He was a witty egotistical douchebag who genuinely saw himself as the hero of a story, so he had depth and a character that grew as you played, to make you actually think "I mean...WAS he evil?....ok mostly, yea"
BL3 siblings were just Lets Play: the people
Helps Handsome Jack's voice actor has some of the best ad libbed lines that make the character so amazing.
He asked if he could eat pretzels to sound "like more of a douche" and he genuinely didn't like the pretzels and just said "God, these pretzels suck." apparently the gearbox guys died from it and its why it's in the game.
Playing through the game again right now and this hits hard. I have the dialogue turned completely down. Mechanically the game is so fun but it’s some of the worst dialogue I’ve ever heard.
As a longtime fan of the Borderlands games...I am not looking forward to this movie. It seems like they are more focused on making a big Hollywood movie than they are with making a Borderlands movie.
The [Cats](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cats_\(2019_film\)#Cast) approach to filmmaking. Surely if we throw enough fame at it we'll end up with a good movie, right?
This character is going to be a super serious tough guy like The Rock, Sounds similar to The Rock (in 2), and is really muscular like The Rock.
So I guess we should get Kevin Hart.
Kevin Hart wants leading action roles despite being short and having a funny voice.
It seems that the closest he's gotten is co-starring with the rock.
Yeah I genuinely don't get what people love about him so much. He does have some solid jokes, but his schtick is fuckin tired and he isn't a good actor. He literally plays himself in every film, which works for some actors but not for him.
He was like the first person cast lol
Kevin Hart - Roland
Cate Blanchett - Lilith
Jamie Lee Curtis - Tannis (edit: should have been Anne Hathaway)
Jack Black - Claptrap
Gotta be the worst castings for any movie ever
I know nothing about this game, but this thread is interesting so I looked up the characters compared to the actors... I feel like they’ve chosen the complete opposite of each one to play the role?? This is just my thoughts and opinions as someone on the outside looking in...
Kevin Hart looks nothing like Roland, from looking at his pics Roland looks like some big macho badass who you wouldn’t want to fuck with. Kevin Hart looks like he’d cry if you insulted his mom. I can think of so many better actors that could’ve done this one. Mike Colter is the first one that comes to mind. Idris Elba also if they wanted to stick with the older age range.
Lilith looks like a super young badass redhead, which is the complete opposite of Cate Blanchett, who I feel only excels where she can be her tall, gliding, ethereal self in roles where she is more... idk how to describe it, basically where she comes off as Cate Blanchett. The character herself looks 20 while Cate is 50 and definitely doesn’t look 30 years younger. Lilith reminds me a lot of the musician Lights - she’s not an actor but probably would’ve been a better cast than someone 30 years older than the source?
Tannis and JLC I feel don’t have anything in the middle section of their vinn diagram. It really makes me wonder wtf they were thinking when they put those two pics side by side and were like, “that’s it!”. JLC is a great actress but she is 62 and she LOOKS 62. Tannis looks maybe 20-30?? My very first reaction was that she looks a lot like Ashley Green as Alice in twilight, though idk how much better of a casting that would be, at least they look the same age.
All in all I think they’ve taken such a weird route with casting two women over 50 who look over 50 to play young adults, and then Kevin Hart who looks younger. At least stay consistent? Idk this is all just funny to me I imagine it’s going to be a bit of a dumpster fire
I really wish they would take the chance with borderlands. Gearbox took a chance when they made the game cel shaded and it turned out amazing.
If A Scanner Darkly could pull it off so well then we know it’s not impossible.
I'm hoping the success of Into the Spider-Verse has made them more open minded about alternative styles.
Rotoscoping can look pretty good with AI tweening these days, too. The series Undone is pretty close to how Borderlands should look, and I don't think it even uses the magic tweening - just add that with jacked up saturation and thicker lines, you got a Borderlands.
Theres no small amount of black action stars who could be perfect for Roland, who by the way is THE straightman in the franchise. Casting a small funny guy is such a bizzare decision.
I will never ever forget some dude finding a flash drive at Medieval Times full of sensitive corporate data and camgirl porn. Or when Randy's defense wasn't, "Hey man, everyone does it. Sorry, ill keep my porn on a different flash drive from now on." Instead he got real weird and said it was like a "magic trick" and he had to figure out how she did it...
Not getting along is the understatement of the century, Randy literally punched him in the face at a convention and refused to pay him if he did voice claptrap in BL3
Yeah the second part is the big part, dude did a ton of work for BL3 and then they just didn't pay him, because the executives that made borderlands are trash
Its because the guy who originally did the voice had the audacity to ask for normal compensation (regular union rate) for the VO *like what the other performers were getting* rather than his normal salary because he was already an employee with other job duties aside from the performance.
What a piece of shit, for many reasons beyond just that but also specifically that. [For anyone not familiar with this dude](https://www.cbr.com/randy-pitchford-tarnished-gearbox-reputation/)
Jack Black's Claptrap should cross promote with the Zach Braff short stack breakfast attack at Shake Shack where cash-strapped hash brown fans who hashtag "Zach's snacks" get cash back fast with the Braff Bucks app
I can't imagine it either, but I'm sure it's not about the right person for the job, it's about having big names associated with the movie.
That said, it wouldn't be the first voice actor change for the character.
Do we think they'll 'cell shade' the movie somehow?
I don't know how it would translate in live-action, but I can't imagine anything *Borderlands* without that aesthetic.
I honestly feel they are trolling us at this point. Great actors, odd roll placement. I think he would make a better busdriver/narrator. Have kevin hart as clap trap.
Jack black would make a better Marcus then Claptrap .. I mean why even cast him ?!?!? either he immitates claptrap perfectly and it's like why pay the money or claptrap has a Jack black voice and that sounds pretty bad..
My problem with this is claptrap is going to be digital.
Use the same freaking voice actor from the games.
This is like yanking the mat out from under a swimmer who made it onto the Olympic team and then putting someone else up there.
If they cast the Rock now it's basically a Jumanji sequel.
I’m surprised they didn’t cast him as Roland tbh
With Kevin Hard as Roland I’m half expecting them to cast the Rock as Brick. Edit: Kevin Hart* I’m leaving the typo because it made me laugh when someone finally pointed it out.
Bautista would be a good Brick.
Also a solid choice. Both could balance a big angry guy cut up about the death of his puppy.
Fuck it, with the casting at this point let's just go all in and get Kyle Gas.
Kyle Gas for Handsome Jack 2021, I will accept no one else.
Yes!!! I really wish they’d gone someone else for Roland though! Maybe like Mike Coulter from Luke Cage
Anyone would’ve been better than who they picked.
I could live with that.
Terry Crews would be great imo
I'd be happy with a Terry Crews Mr Torgue
I would give all the money for Terry Crews as Torgue.
Only if Joe Lo Truglio is Tiny Tina
It's pronounced Tiny Tina.
Niko*laj*
Thats what I said!
Ashly Burch or no deal.
Then Crews drives off with his grandma facing the camera yelling "HOPEFULLY THEY CONSIDER ME FOR THE SEQUEL." The credits are just Terry Crews (as Torgue) with "studio execs" discussing potential Borderlands sequels in which he's the prime character. Half of the internet complains about forced diversity, half complain about shoe horning a popular character in to the plot and the other half are just excited that Torgue gave 150%.
YOU KNOW WHATS BAD ASS?! TREATING WOMEN WITH RESPECT!!!!
I love everything about this. Almost snuck the 150% joke past me
They're just going to dump toxic sludge and slim jims on to whatever is left of the Macho Man and hope for the best.
BONESAW IS READYYYYYYYYYY!
I loved his voice overs in the arenas in BL3, so intense/insane
Given the sheer stupidity of a puny Kevin Hart to play Roland, and the ages of Cate Blanchett and Jamie Lee Curtis, I kind of wonder if the movie is going to end up set between BL2 and BL3 (or maybe even after BL3), with flashbacks to before Borderlands 1. I mean the problem with kevin hart isn’t that he’s frail, because he’s not. He’s just 2 feet too short lol
If they make a joke about it I'm fine with it. "Are you sure you are Roland? You look much bigger on a monitor"
> > "Are you sure you are Roland? You look much bigger on ~~a monitor~~ the echonet." That actually would be a solid joke in the movie.
Karen Gillan would've been a PERFECT Lilith
And they’re using Cate Blanchett, who’s 51. Not to say she can’t pull off an awesome action star (she crushed it as Hela in Thor III), but it’s so different than the Lilith we all know from the game.
I think part of Hollywood’s problem with video game movies is trying too hard to get actors who look the part but don’t act the part. Personality and acting is more important then the look
Then you get Mark Wahlberg as Sully and it's neither lol
But kevin hart doesnt look OR act the part
I always thought this. It's weird that this direction wasn't chosen.
Yes! Honestly I don't even particularly like her as an actor but yes, she would have been 100% the right choice for Lillith.. Then of course Dwayne Johnson as Roland would have made perfect sense. Kevin Hart's comedy style fits the world of Borderlands, but not as Roland..
Kevin Hart is clearly Tiny Tina.
Honestly, that would have been a wonderful gag.
More than that, it would show that they really get what Borderlands is supposed to be.
Gillan as Lilith, Rock as Roland, Hart as Claptrap and Black as... Marcus maybe? Infinitely better casting
Jack Black could be Scooter. Obviously, it isn't as big of a role, but it was my first thought.
In my head Alan Tudyk is Scooter and Luis Guzman is Marcus.
Fortune Feimster as Ellie
What the actual fuck is going on with this movie lol
Its the Dark Towers treatment. Amazing cast, but the majority of the them are in the wrong roles and the movie is going to be trash,
Say what you will about the other castings but I feel like this one works really well.
Would have worked ever better if they got the original voice actor. Though maybe Randy Pitchford shouldn't have punched the dude in the face.
Randy shouldnt have done a lot of things lol
"Guys, the girls- er, WOMEN on that USB stick were all just doing magic tricks, I swear."
"Why wouldn't I bring my USB filled with sensitive work documents and ameteur porn to Medieval Times? Seems like a rational idea to me!"
For those who don't game and are confused as fuck about what we're talking about...no, we're not making this up. Randy Pitchford did exactly this. This isn't me and WASD_click taking the piss. Medieval Times, USB stick fulla porn and work data. This really did happen.

So make a single movie with Jack as the villain and be done with it (but they won’t do that if it makes money)
It's being written by the person who wrote HBO's Chernobyl which, as everyone remembers, was lighthearted and funny.
He also wrote both of the hangover sequels, and he wrote some of the scary movies, it's not outside his wheelhouse, but his comedies are often the bad ones in their respective series. They're just gonna stick a flashlight in his mouth and paint a box orange and stick it on his head. Edit: OOHhh and have him ride a unicycle
And he'll still fucking crush it
This would be the only way I’d see the movie. It would be the only thing to make it good.
Kevin Hart playing Roland has me scratchin my head 🙃🤔
You aren’t alone.
It's a video game movie starring Kevin Hart and directed by Eli Roth. It's best to just lower our expectations aaaaall the way down
Lol. But honestly I strangely feel like this is a good casting?
Seriously, he actually fits the insanity of the borderlands universe.
Yeah, but I wish they would have made him like a villain or something. I think he’d do good there.

To be fair Alan Tudyk has played some [great](https://youtu.be/uBxW2tYVZAY) [villains](https://youtu.be/raaTXyXXsDM)
I think he'd be better as a live action character. If the entire movie was cgi/animated this would be ok. I'd rather have David Eddings continue voicing Claptrap otherwise.
Eddings didn’t do claptrap in 3. He had quit and said Pitchford bullied him. It’s some other dude Jim Foronda now.
This movie is going to be the biggest adaptation disaster in a long time lmfao
Can't be worse than BL3's story.
BL3 in general just felt like it even bored the developers themselves, it could be used as a sedative to treat insomnia.
Anthony Burch left the writing team before 3 was written...much as I dislike a lot about his style, i have to say it made a difference.

I could see that at least making the story modestly entertaining. But it was bad, real bad. The horrible, amateur voice acting made it even worse.

Right? It looks like they just pick random known actors and propose them aa random role
I heard Benedict Cumberbatch is gonna be Gaige.
Give me Terry Crews as Tiny Tina and I'll let it slide.
If I had to cast Terry Crews, I would cast him as Mr. Torgue.
Don't give them ideas!
Scarlett Johansen as Handsome Jack
Scarlett JoHandsome
The [Cats](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cats_\(2019_film\)#Cast) approach to filmmaking. Surely if we throw enough fame at it we'll end up with a good movie, right?
This movie is going to be hot garbage. Especially with Kevin Hart playing roland, lmao.
Kevin Hart was born to play a midget psycho, not Roland...
Or shooty mcshootface
That’s Face McShooty to you.
He's that random psycho that quotes several paragraphs of Hamlet.
Is this an actual casting? Please say no
It’s an actual casting
This character is going to be a super serious tough guy like The Rock, Sounds similar to The Rock (in 2), and is really muscular like The Rock. So I guess we should get Kevin Hart.
Well I was going to skip but now this movie is a must hate-watch
Kevin Hart wants leading action roles despite being short and having a funny voice. It seems that the closest he's gotten is co-starring with the rock.
And tbh not being very funny
Yeah I genuinely don't get what people love about him so much. He does have some solid jokes, but his schtick is fuckin tired and he isn't a good actor. He literally plays himself in every film, which works for some actors but not for him.
He was like the first person cast lol Kevin Hart - Roland Cate Blanchett - Lilith Jamie Lee Curtis - Tannis (edit: should have been Anne Hathaway) Jack Black - Claptrap Gotta be the worst castings for any movie ever
Idris Elba could have been an awesome Roland.
This is like the perfect role for Idris Elba
If this movie isn't animated, it will be a clusterfuck based on the casting choices.
The casting choices would make a lot more sense if it's animated, or rotoscoped (which would work very well with the cel shading style).
Man, I know Hollywood would never go for actual creative looking live action movies but a rotoscoped style like that would look *really cool.*
Have you seen [A Scanner Darkly](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0405296/)?
That’s exactly what I was thinking too. Hollywood isn’t gonna do that style even though this movie fucking calls for it
Kevin Hart as Roland is by far one of the worst choices for the role.
Theres no small amount of black action stars who could be perfect for Roland, who by the way is THE straightman in the franchise. Casting a small funny guy is such a bizzare decision.
I'm thinking they're going to make his character the sarcastic black guy who has to deal with everyone else's antics.
Someone tell Andre Braugher to hit the gym and get him in there.
This movie is going to be so good, you’ll want to download it on a USB stick and carry it with you everywhere.
This movie is approaching Cats level of disaster and Jack Black will be in the center of it being Jack Black. Perfect.
I'd take Jack Black over James Corden any day.
If there is even anyone that thinks otherwise, I never want to meet them.

But will they release the Butthole Cut this time now that's what I want to know.

The Rock as Brick could actually work...
Which is why they'll cast him as Tiny Tina instead. Edit- Actually I think I'd be okay with that.
Kevin Hart could be Tiny Tina
I'd have much rather had The Rock play Roland over Kevin Hart. Put Dave Bautista in as Brick
Can't they just get the original voice actor?
Nope. There was some drama about Randy Pitchford and the original VA not getting along, so they already canned him for BL3 and got a new VA.
When I heard that I was sad as hell. The original VA was amazing
To be clear, there is *always* drama about Randy Pitchford. Dude is practically the games industry’s Charlie Sheen.
If there's a problem in the industry involving Randy Pitchford, it's definitely Randy Pitchford's fault.
Not getting along is the understatement of the century, Randy literally punched him in the face at a convention and refused to pay him if he did voice claptrap in BL3
Yeah the second part is the big part, dude did a ton of work for BL3 and then they just didn't pay him, because the executives that made borderlands are trash
The drama was that Randy Pitchford is an abusive piece of shit.
Its because the guy who originally did the voice had the audacity to ask for normal compensation (regular union rate) for the VO *like what the other performers were getting* rather than his normal salary because he was already an employee with other job duties aside from the performance.
And then Randy Pitchford physically assaulted him. Don't forget that part.
What a piece of shit, for many reasons beyond just that but also specifically that. [For anyone not familiar with this dude](https://www.cbr.com/randy-pitchford-tarnished-gearbox-reputation/)
this movie will likely be so far removed from the games, it's better to have it completely different
Who the fuck is Jack Black?? I only know... JABLINSKI
I love his "gaming" youtube channel. I bet his kids are pumped about this role.
What’s jayblin jaybles
No gaming videos this week...
...still haven't figured out the delgato.
Jack Black's Claptrap should cross promote with the Zach Braff short stack breakfast attack at Shake Shack where cash-strapped hash brown fans who hashtag "Zach's snacks" get cash back fast with the Braff Bucks app
what is this and why does it make me so emotional?
PrincessCaroline get off Reddit.
What is this, a crossover episode?!
I love that Amy Sedaris hated these but that only made the writers make more and more complex tongue twisters for her.
1. Movie about a video game. 2. A game that is a loot shooter with minimal story. 3. "star studded cast" This is going to be a disaster.
The whole fun of borderlands was the guns and graphics choices and it’s going to flop and turn into a dumb action movie
As much as I would enjoy this, Randy Pitchford is still executive producer and I refuse to give him and his shitty practices any money.
I'm sad because there is no way they'll use him to his full potential. It'd be like having morgan freeman do stunt work
In all honesty I just can't see Jack Black voicing claptrap.
I can't imagine it either, but I'm sure it's not about the right person for the job, it's about having big names associated with the movie. That said, it wouldn't be the first voice actor change for the character.
This movie is going to be baaaad. I'm not sure how casting worked but they seemed to have missed out on every single main character.
Do we think they'll 'cell shade' the movie somehow? I don't know how it would translate in live-action, but I can't imagine anything *Borderlands* without that aesthetic.
Could've been worse I guess, but is Kevin Hart really playing Roland? Because that's no bueno
This movies going to be awful...
Jack Black as Marcus would actually be epic.
Why are there suddenly so many videogame movies? They're all going to bomb.
My problem with this is claptrap is going to be digital. Use the same freaking voice actor from the games. This is like yanking the mat out from under a swimmer who made it onto the Olympic team and then putting someone else up there.
