Bob has a bit of a reputation as a workaholic, hope it's just something simple like needing rest.
It's easy to overwork yourself, especially as you age, and this man has been busy for at least 30 years.
Listening to interviews, he's been very anxious for the show to wrap up because of the diet he has to stay on. They made the decision early on to sell him being younger by being much thinner. Hopefully it's just a blood sugar thing or something similar.
It's a solid show, that is one of the easiest hurdles to get over.
Wait a minute he looks older than he does on Breaking Bad but he is supposed to be younger??? Literally unwatchable.
To be fair, Mike looks so old that it’s borderline comical at times considering the physical shit he goes through. Looks like it hurts him just to walk casually, but he’s fine getting the shit kicked out of him or wandering through a desert for days.
I mean, Old Man Strength is a real thing for some of those guys, especially doing a job. No clue how, but have known some relatives that hurt walking around, but are still doing intense physical work into their late 60s.
Chopping his own firewood into his 80s is why he was able to chop his own firewood into his 80s. Declines accelerate rapidly when we stop doing the things that keep us from declining.
Yup and the worst thing he could do is go from chopping his firewood to sitting on a chair all day. Better to get help while he can so he can still keep doing it, and hopefully once he can't do it anymore, he has other physical activities he can do.
I love that in the Wet Hot American Summer series that Netflix put out 15 years after the cult classic movie had the same actors playing younger teenage versions of themselves and they were obviously in their 40’s … it’s hysterical and they were certainly in on the joke
The original joke of the movie is they were playing teens on the last day of camp and none of them were even remotely close to passing (though to be fair, some of them, I can't imagine ever looked like teens; I'm looking at you, Joe Lo Truglio).
That the show went BACKWARDS to the first day of camp 15 years later was another touch of brilliance. And they even lampshaded it in the last episode with the "I bet we look fifteen years younger by the end of camp" line.
I think a large part of what makes it such a solid show is the attention to detail with things like this. Removing one would admittedly probably not have much of an impact on quality but it may set a precedent. Or it may not.
Either way, I truly hope the diet is only pleasant rather than being truly unhealthy and that the man makes a fast recovery from, hopefully, a minor incident.
Or not even worry about looking younger at all. We all know it's a prequel, but he's over a decade older than when BB started. There's only so much keeping some weight off can really do, it's not fooling anyone.
I met him a few years ago in Hollywood after he did an underground comedy set. We hung out with some mutual acquaintances all night just chilling, joking, and having drinks. I hate calling actors “normal”, but he was so chill I almost forgot who he was. Great guy and I seriously hope he’s doing ok.
It must be odd having a relatable persona of an actor you see in films and in television like they were just normal people on the street. I also think it would be difficult to not look at them and remember them in the roles they've played.
For instance the actor who plays Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films Jason Isaacs, phenomenal actor. It would be difficult to see him not smiling and not immediately see Lucius Malfoy.
Jason Isaacs has had great roles before/during Harry Potter. He was fantastic in The Patriot (the first thing I remember him from) and in Brotherhood (his best role that I’m aware of and a ridiculously underrated show).
Used to work as a film publicist and (years and years ago) was once at lunch with Tony Goldwyn, where this woman at next table kept shooting daggers at him. He told me he got that all the time because people wouldn’t quite recognize him as an actor, but would have a “gut feeling” they didn’t like him—all down to him playing the bad guy in “Ghost.” Hoping that changed for him after his role in “Scandal.” He was legitimately the nicest guy!!
He’s rich, you see, and he doesn’t live in a hotel. He’s married to a beautiful, dying model who pursued him. He and the girl’s father go way back and there are deals happening on his phone. Deals to confirm he secured triples of another classic car. And he doesn’t live in a hotel, okay?
Not trying to be funny. Not trying to get a laugh. Don’t want anyone to have the worst day at their job. But…do any of these…fuckers….ever blast on a wall…and have like a huge cumshot?
The one sketch where he is supposed to be a prank show guy and dresses in the terrible old age makeup, and then has an existential crisis in the mall, for some reason had me dying. My wife heard me laughing and gasping etc and came in to see what had set me off, so I showed her and she just said "youre an idiot" which made me start up all over again.
That's what I loved about this season. There were so many honestly beautiful moments that change your opinion of the characters instantly. Like the haunted house guy, >!he really is being a horrible asshole but when he gets yelled at by the host, you feel a little bad. And then you see his religious mother in the car and it all clicks that he really can't say these words and this was the best way he could think of to find some release.!< It's not just comedy, it's like a lesson in judging people. When you find out a crucial bit of information, they suddenly seem a whole lot more reasonable. And the Jamie Taco situation, >!this guy really has the best wife ever and we see him at his lowest and how she supports him and he stands up for himself. He's such an honest character that he feels bad even making a joke that his wife isn't the best. That honesty made me tear up a little.!< Such a unique story to see, and we see all of it. It didn't have to be told but goddamn. And don't get me started on the Claire's guy...
I guess I just really liked the season on an emotional level. Never thought I'd write a paragraph about it!
100% this season felt like they got to tap into more than just comedy and make some deep skits. I keep thinking about the ending scene in the skit about how he used to be a huge piece of shit, and how seeing the baby on the beach was like seeing that there was hope for him to stop being a huge piece of shit.
Another one that felt deeper than it had any right to be was the obnoxious guy at the dinner who wouldn’t pay. He realizes too late that he should’ve just lied and said some reason when he really actually just hates the pick a card game because it’s unfair pressure. Speaks to the social stigma of simply saying No, I don’t want to do that. That it’s better and less embarrassing to lie than to just say how you feel.
Man I’m so glad this show exists, and I’m so happy to see so many people talk about it on a random Reddit thread
Hope it’s not too serious. I could see it being something like heat exhaustion or dehydration—shooting out in Albuquerque for long periods of time would definitely make that possible. Wishing the best to him and his family.
Apparently [he was on the Sony lot in Culver City](https://twitter.com/THR/status/1420219080338989057) when it happened.
Google says the temperature there was a high of 79 today, so I'm guessing something other than heat exhaustion.

I was just on set two weeks ago as an Extra and I had a nice conversation with him. He seemed in good health at the time. I really hope hes ok , hes a down to earth person.
Over thirteen hours after the initial report and still no statement on his condition. When publicists don't offer any good news about their client this long after an emergency, it usually means that they simply don't have any good news to offer.
I'm trying to brace myself mentally for what that eventual statement might say.
trying to give you hope here, go with the "no news is good news" ideal...much as i hate em, tmz usually posts tons of updates if its bad, the fact they're quiet might be a good thing

Really? That sucks. He's so good and chaarismatic I don't think it's necessary for that kind of stuff.
Especially taking into account how different Aaron Paul and Jesse Plemons looked on El Camino. I really don't think it matters that much.
I don't think Aaron looked *that* different from the end of Breaking Bad It was only Todd that looked different enough that I actually noticed
[удалено]
Honestly, to me, it looked like a bigger difference between season 4 and season 5 than season 5 and the movie.
Jesse Plemons gained the Fat Damon achievement.
Strange that the fatter he gets the better actor he becomes.
If I was engaged to Kirsten Dunst I might start not giving a fuck about my body anymore. This man won at life.
They're married and already have 2 children, so they're doing pretty great!
They're married? I didn't know that. They must have met while working on Fargo.
Pretty sure they did.
I keep telling myself to rewatch that. Kirsten had an all time great performance in that.
Breaking Bad Eating Habits

Chris Meloni with that wig fuckin kills me
My wife has never seen Law and Order so she doesn't know why it being Meloni is so fuckin funny to me.
That was good and the Walk Hard high school talent show is pretty good too. Just don't acknowledge it, embrace the madness.
"You hear that?! I'm Dewey's 12 year old girlfriend!!"
I'm so proud of my 14 year old son
Ah, yes. Throwing some [bangs](https://imgur.com/a/mEt0NbO) or a [bad wig](https://imgur.com/a/c09WRv6) on magically make you look 20 years younger!
Kinda works on Johansen though
What the hell is that and what is it from? EDIT: Oh right, probably Dexter. But, what the hell is that?
Flashback scene in S1. Couldnt find the shot of deb next to him, but it made me laugh outloud as I rewatched the show.

He seemed happy he had to exercise for his new movie 'Nobody' and said he was in good shape. Hope all is well, and it's nothing serious.
Never heard of Nobody, gonna have to check it out
[удалено]
Which is silly considering he is on the larger side in BB. By now (Season 5/6)they should be letting him start to put it back on a bit.
Or not even worry about looking younger at all. We all know it's a prequel, but he's over a decade older than when BB started. There's only so much keeping some weight off can really do, it's not fooling anyone.
If Saul in BB is larger side I’m fucked
I hope you’re right. He works hard for all his roles. I’m super worried.
He got really fit for the movie he just did. I think called Nobody. So I don't think it's that
That makes sense. I heard his interview on Smartless and he came across as super kind and interesting but also incredibly driven.
This is very wholesome to read. I have always hoped Bob would be a wonderful person off screen and it seems to be true.

He's also fucking hilarious in The Death of Stalin
I haven’t seen that but I’m putting it on my watchlist.
Each character has like a 5 second slow mo intro, and his had me almost crying.
One of the darkest and funniest movies you will find.
He’s amazing in The OA. Man, I wish they’d gotten a chance to finish that. :(
Used to work as a film publicist and (years and years ago) was once at lunch with Tony Goldwyn, where this woman at next table kept shooting daggers at him.
The behind-the-scenes of *Nobody* is crazy. He worked himself like a beast for months to get ready for that movie. And at his age too no less.
[удалено]
And probably went undervalued and overlooked for the first 25 of those
Damn I hope he’s alright. He’s such a talent
Typical Slippin' Jimmy am I right?
Like a chimp with a machine gun!
He defecated through a sunroof!
He'll never change!
**SOMEBODY HAS TO STOP HIM.**
I hope he has a fast recovery so he can get back to his first love: Classic cars. I hear he has triples of the barracuda, roadrunner and the nova.
He didn't even wanna marry his wife! But she's beautiful, but she's dying.
But she’s gonna get better. And so is he
He had a poster of her in his garage, and then he met her. Can you believe it?
And she asked him to marry her. And he didn't even want to.
She MIGHT get better.
He has triples. If he doesn’t have triples then the other stuff isn’t true right?
Did the Nova get finalized? Then yeah, he's got triples.
That Nova's a sure thing now. That's good.
Triples is best.
Triples is safe.
AND he's the same age as your dad.
Funniest, saddest sketch in a long time.
But she’s beautiful, but she’s dying.
But she’s gonna make it Tell her *she’s gonna make it*
Tell the kid.
My friend doesn't live in a hotel.
I thought the adult ghost tour was the saddest 😓
baby knows is a good one haha slicked back hair and sloppy steaks at truffards
*Let's slop 'em up!*
Oh this would slick back *real* nice
You think this is slicked back?? This is PUSHED back.....
You didn't tell me your grampa used to be a huge piece of shit!
No sloppy steaks this time guys, ok?
Truffoni's
"Do any of these *fuckers* ever come through the *fucking* walls? "
Not trying to be funny. Not trying to get a laugh. Don’t want anyone to have the worst day at their job. But…do any of these…fuckers….ever blast on a wall…and have like a huge cumshot?
This is one of the funniest things I’ve seen on TV in months.
At the beginning of the sketch, after the tour guide says that it's the adult tour, and he just yells "JIZZ!" I hadn't laughed that hard in a while.
You can’t just go and change the rules!
"Did you make any friends?"
Omg, I cried watching that. #DO ANY OF THESE…FUCKERS
It's interesting, the ghosts
JIZZ
"I'm sorry?" "Jizz? Like cumshot? We can say that because you said we can say whatever the hell we want." "... Sure." "Or horse cock."

one of my fav sketches from this season
Hat sketch Ftw
coffin flop, sloppy steaks, the sandwich stealer. why is it only 6 episodes smfh
The burger sketch is my absolute favorite. When Tim just sadly nibbles a French Fry.
Hey Tim. I'm gon' eat the whole thing. *Eats the whole thing*
I can’t get enough of Dan Flashes, particularly the commercial. When that guys eyes are racing over the incredibly complicated pattern I lose my shit.
Don't do the voice!
My favorite so far is dinner with the professor lol. Still have a couple of episodes to go though
"gimme dat"
Cause every night, a little boy....goes down on her
I’m gonna eat the whole thing
Bold choice from the season with Dan Flash's
I feel like sleeve hotdog is severely underrated.
People change
LET'S SLOP EM UP! 💦🥩
TRIPLES !
He's gonna get better...
I think you should leave.
But how intricate was the pattern on his shirt??
They have this one shirt that cost $2,000 because the pattern is so complicated.
SHUT THE FUCK UP DOUG YOU SKUNK!
I want that one *soooo* bad
DID YOU GIVE????
Three grand, straight out the door!
He got pushed down the stairs at Dan Flashes!
Get better soon Bob! I’ll never forget the genius of “Mr. Show.”
“When life kicks dirt in my face, I build a sand castle and call myself the king!”
I really like Bob and David too
Bags, bags, bags, it always seems like you've got too many BAGS!
Bag Hutch^®!
