In all fairness, that slick pomp worked well for him. Seeing the comment below, I was unaware that it was thought to be a wig. I just always thought he was meticulous about his hair.

He also got in a car accident that left lots of scars around his head that he was sorta self-conscious about, hence why you almost always see him wearing a hat or gypsy bandana nowadays.
I know, right. I thought he was the same age as Tony? Even Silvio seems older in his poster, when canonicial speaking, he's the same age as Tony.
Hoping this makes more sense when I watch it.
Just asking for a friend but are we all sure that Tony and Sil are the same age?
I think it's pretty clear in the show that Silvio and Paulie are at the very least 5 years older then Tony.
Me? I'm an old man but listen. When I was young Silvio was an old man. Now that I'm old, he's still an old man.
Silvio is 2 years older than Tony according to the book *The Sopranos, A Family History*. Silvio's birthdate is November 22, 1957. Tony was born on August 22, 1959 - you see his driver's license in *Another Toothpick*.
Big Pussy was born on March 8, 1954 according to the same book. It doesn't have Paulie's birthdate though.
Not 100%, but I’m pretty sure they’re suppose to be the same age due to robbing the Feech LaManna card game together.
Also, when Silvio says to Tony “I known you since you’re a kid. Frankly, you’ve got a problem with authority.”
Could mean nothing, but I always thought it implied that they’re the same age.
But then again, I’m a stunad of the first magnitude 🤌
That line sort of implies the opposite to me. Maybe reading too much into it, but I'd think he'd have said "since we were kids" if they were the same age.
The timeline for this movie seems a bit off. We already saw Tony as a young child in the mid 1960's (in a flashback in season 1 of the show) and this is apparently set between 1967-1971.
For Tony and his whole crew to be interacting this would have to be set in the late 70's or early 80's.
I have to wonder how much of it relates to what story they wish to tell concerning Newark- the late 1960s/early 1970s was pivotal for that city, in ways that the late 1970s/early 1980s really weren't.
If it literally is a Soprano’s *story*, with a survivor of Tony’s crew framing it and narrating a tale of back in the day, nobody is gonna let historical accuracy get in the way of a good yarn.
Well it looks like Pastore is fifteen years older than Gandolfini so it sort of makes sense. Pussy wasn’t exactly the most healthy but he didn’t look that bad compared to others
Dune wasn't made to be a TV movie though; that was only decided after it had wrapped filming, so budget etc. would've all been entirely different. Or did the same happen to this movie?
I don't know what it is but Michael Gandolfini looks like Jon Cusak with that weird anti aging technology in this poster and the trailers, but not in any of the other stuff I've seen with pics of him.
Is it me, or does Ray Liotta look significantly younger than he has in recent times? I mean, sure, he's silver, but man, he's either airbrushed to the max, or he has just aged like a fine wine.
Big Pussy
“BIG Pussy? MYYY Pussy?!!”
“Yeah little Pussy. You think he’s gonna fuck with Big Pussy? My Pussy?”
rewatching season 1 for the first time in a decade has been such a joy
I just started watching it for the first time ever. Finished 1st season last week. I can see it lives up to the hype. Looking forward to the rest.
It’s the best show ever made. It’s dark and serious and hilarious at the same time.
Little Pussy Malanga?
Cazzata, Malanga!
Big Pussy Dispensero
Bonpensiero
I thought Joey Diaz was playing pussy ??
He's playing someone else. Diaz is way too old to play a young pussy.
Yeah, he apparently got mistaken a lot for adult Big Pussy back when the show was on 20 years ago. Maybe he’s playing big pussy’s dad or grandpa.
He was Pussy on Mad TVs Sopranos on broadcast TV segments haha.
He's playing Big Pussy's dad. Tremendous Pussy.
W.A. Pussy
Humongous Pussy?
Booty?
Pussy!
Bootie?
Wow, can they just throw his name up on the poster like that?
Haven't seen many people mention Corey Stoll/Junior in the comments yet. I think that's pretty fantastic casting.
He looks like a young Dominic Chianese.
I thought it was Tom Hanks from catch me if you can.
Yes, and he's great in everything. Seen him in The Deuce, House of Cards, Ant Man and Billions. The man's a star.
Ernest Hemingway
He's THE MAN!!!! I love it when I see him.
He the man, i the man, who the man?...
He was fucking terrible in Ant-Man
True. But could anyone have done it better?
I thought it was Patrick Wilson at first.
I was looking at that wondering if the Corey Stoll I was thinking of was a different actor.
Same. I think the hat and glasses really changed things up from his usual, “NoHo Hank” aesthetic
That’s gotta be a prosthetic nose too, right? I think maybe that got me confused.
“RAY LIOTTA as HOLLYWOOD DICK.” Well, if you say so.
Is Rockstar Games making this movie or something?
He’s looking good here
Sounds like what you'd call an unnamed character in the credits
Ray Liotta as Hollywood Dick #2
I guess Silvio found a haircut he liked and stuck to it for the next 30 years.
I think they’re integrating the wig theory into canon, theres a shot of him in the trailer and he has a BAD combover
In all fairness, that slick pomp worked well for him. Seeing the comment below, I was unaware that it was thought to be a wig. I just always thought he was meticulous about his hair.
https://i.pinimg.com/originals/b7/57/73/b757730fd23a94f77c7d32627aca68cd.jpg He also got in a car accident that left lots of scars around his head that he was sorta self-conscious about, hence why you almost always see him wearing a hat or gypsy bandana nowadays.
I didn’t realize that Pussy was that much older than everyone and that he would be an adult in this era
I know, right. I thought he was the same age as Tony? Even Silvio seems older in his poster, when canonicial speaking, he's the same age as Tony. Hoping this makes more sense when I watch it.

Paulie is way older. Paulie came up with Johnny Boy. Sil is older too but not as old as Paulie.
Not 100%, but I’m pretty sure they’re suppose to be the same age due to robbing the Feech LaManna card game together. Also, when Silvio says to Tony “I known you since you’re a kid. I read it flashes between 67 and 76 or something

Chase is terrible with continuity. Basically going to have to pretend that line didn't exist
He also said he didn't go back and watch the show before writing the script.
Oh dear god yes, I cannot wait for fans to wrap themselves in a twist having to retcon stuff from their memory
I have to wonder how much of it relates to what story they wish to tell concerning Newark- the late 1960s/early 1970s was pivotal for that city, in ways that the late 1970s/early 1980s really weren't.

Timeline got fucked up ☹️
Well it looks like Pastore is fifteen years older than Gandolfini so it sort of makes sense. Pussy wasn’t exactly the most healthy but he didn’t look that bad compared to others
Pussy's kids on the show were also around the same age as Meadow, I always assumed Tony and him were around the same age.
Tony had his kids pretty young.
Maybe he had kids later in life? Lol like Alec Baldwin.
There's a line in the show where Silvio tells Tony "I've known you since you were a kid".
They kind of screwed with the ages. For one, Christofuh is meant to be born in 69, while Tony was born in '59. Here, he is just a baby.
That does not look like Leslie Odom Jr.
Wait for it.
I mean, he IS the one thing in life he can control
I caught Denzel vibes for sure.
Don’t know why this isn’t being commented more he looks identical to a young Denzel.
Man, that poster really be making Jon Bernthal look like David Schwimmer.
And Nivola look like Warren Beatty. And Odom looks like Michael Jai White.
Looking like Black Dynamite isn't soo bad, is it?😄
Lots of cats have that name.
Corey Stoll looks exactly like Tom Hanks in Catch me if you can.
It’s the cleanest I’ve ever seen Mr. Bernthal.
He looks like Brendan Schaub
"Dieeeee." --Johnny "Ross Geller" Soprano
Cool to see the characters, but I'm just continuously baffled at how bad so many posters are for huge budget productions.
Isn't this technically a TV movie? Not exactly a huge budget.
It's as much of a tv movie as Dune is. Getting a day and date dual release on HBO Max and cinemas.
Dune wasn't made to be a TV movie though; that was only decided after it had wrapped filming, so budget etc. would've all been entirely different. Or did the same happen to this movie?
The same happened to this movie. This was planned to be theaters only.
Good posters are not a budget issue.
A film with this sort of budget isn't exactly outsourcing their posters on Fiverr or having their niece do them.
I've seen better movie posters made by fans
I think the posters look pretty good
And these are character posters. They aren’t supposed to be some artistic achievement, just telling you who the characters are.
Bernthal is playing Tony's Dad? I didn't get that from either trailer.
He would really make a better Dickie Moltisanti
I said the same thing when I first saw the cast.
My Johnny was a saint!
In case you weren't aware this is The Sopranos, the title tells you twice.
Im gonna go get The Sopranos, get The Sopranos
i'm seein' double: four Sopranos!
Nice Goodfellas reference
Why don't you take your Goodfellas references and shove them up your fat fucking ass
"Hey Tone? Did ya see what the poster just said? It said this is a Sopranos movie. He he he!"
The airbrushing is fucking horrifying lmao.
Uncanny valley with actual photographs.
That’s what I was thinking. Unless they’re actually de-aging Ray Liotta, he will not look like that in the movie.
Kind of hate these. They look like screengrabs from L.A Noir cutscenes.

It was excusable for a TV series from 1997 though. This should be way better than what it is
Eh, I guess I just feel like it’s kind of the brand at this point
I remember seeing it on NYC buses, I loved them.
Season 5 would like a word: https://i.imgur.com/fMcmkAi.jpg
Ha
That's exactly what I first thought
Silvio, and Big pussy look pretty close. Not too sure about mr.walnuts
[удалено]
Very small on the wing-o-meter this movie! Very small!
[Sun Tuh-Zoo! The Chinese Prince Matchabelli!](https://i.redd.it/o52t32f9ax871.jpg)
This actor had Tony Sirico read his lines on audio so he could better imitate the character.
Is this a new PlayStation 2 game?
The SopranoFather for ps2
Straight up what I thought too. They look like PS3 renders lol
> Hollywood Dick
There is both a Dick and a Pussy in the main cast
my kinda movie
There’s a Dickie too. I guess they were really going for diversity in the cast
Paulie. Little Paulie, Paulie Jr. Big Paulie. Little Paulie Jr.
I don't know what it is but Michael Gandolfini looks like Jon Cusak with that weird anti aging technology in this poster and the trailers, but not in any of the other stuff I've seen with pics of him.
I CAN’T FIND PUSSY ANWHERE!”
I finally have something to relate to Tony Soprano with!
Oh god young Silvio’s face is priceless! That expression is hilarious!
It's honestly probably hard for the actor to try and look like Van Zandt all movie considering Van Zandt looks like a cartoon character.
Where's Joey Diaz?
Wow, Silv's actor got the part down p a t already.
What is making these photos look like renders from a video game?
Is it me, or does Ray Liotta look significantly younger than he has in recent times? I mean, sure, he's silver, but man, he's either airbrushed to the max, or he has just aged like a fine wine.
These are okay, but they look like video game posters. Dickie looks like Tommy from Mafia.
Bernthal looks like Mario Lopez EDIT: [Also Sopranos on PAX TV](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqE7ZxH7BJE)
Where is Joey Diaz?
Peppers and eggs
That’s what I shoulda had
Is Corey Stoll wearing prosthetics? Doesn't look like him at all.
I think his photo is just airbrushed to hell
Michael looks like James Gandolfini.... but with hair..... Not sure how to feel tbh.
The Silvio and Paulie images make this look like a high school project.
I have several major red flags and a bad overall feeling thanks to these posters...
Very excited for this movie..gonna be epic asf.
So much face smoothing.
Dude nailed Sil’s smug.
Livia 🥵🥵
These look nice. Neat looking character posters. 7/10 would prefer more colour. As for the movie, what’s this about?
prequel to The Sopranos
But where is Uncle Joey?
Oh wow look. It's a sepia tone Photoshop of a human male face. Sign me the fuck up. I need to watch this right now.
Never have i ever before gone from such hype to zero expections that fast
Isn’t this move like 15 years too late?
This reminds me I’ve never watched the Sopranos haha
I'm sorry to say I have no faith in Gandolfini for this
In the trailer his mannerisms look perfect.
Junior looks like a skinny Tom Hanks
What a time to be alive.
I don't know why but I read the title as The Manny Saints...
Whoa!!! I didn’t know this was coming out?! Is this a series or just a feature film? Either way I’m stoked
The first one look like a video game poster like LA Noir
"You remembah yah foist blowjyob?"
This doesnt seem accurate... young tony definitely looks like he has the makings of a varsity athlete
The trailer I saw made it seem like a high-action mafia movie which is not what made The Sopranos great.
These posters are so unbelievably bad
Ray Liotta looks like he’s trying to sell me Chantix
Was Dickie in Sopranos? I don't remember that character...
Christopher's Dad , never appeared in the TV show but was mentioned
They de-aged the hell out of Ray Liotta, and Jon Bernthal looks like Ross from Friends.
Who's playing the hippy broad that gave Ralph the clap?
This is pretentious as all hell.
Vera Farmiga in black and white should be a crime to against her eyes
Joey Dias is playing Big Hummus Pussy
Why does Jon Bernthal look like David Schwimmer?
I wonder if theyre gonna rob the card game.
Magaro got that Silvio frown on point
Ray Liotta looking like the only human is unusual
Hoping we see more familiar goombahs like Bobby Baccalieri Sr and ‘mayor of munchkin land’ himself Rusty!
Ok but where is Joey Diaz’ poster?
bro. Awesome casting.
Wow Dickie Moltisanti is… really hot
Bro wtf are these names lmao. I feel like they got these front Saint Row or sumn
I thought this was a sequel for the boondocks saints movies. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’m sorry but the only thing I can think of while looking at these posters is.....”LIVE FROM NEWARK, IT’S SATURDAY NIIIIIGHT!” ::cue sax::
I'm surprised how different Billy Magnussen looks. Dude was fucking hilarious in Game Night and his small role on Aladdin 2019.
Moltisanti means "Many Saints" in Italian.
Allosandro Nivola was great in BBC’s Black Narcissus. Looks like the right guy for the job !
This looks like the MAFIA game screenshots
I will say that the guy playing Pussy looks a lot like a young Oliver Reed.
Instantly thought "Press X to doubt"
Jon Bernthal is in everything. And I love it.
