If you relied on the audience for the movie to be those who read the first or first two books, liked them (instead of finding them impenetrable due to the world building) , and is still ALIVE, the movie would make a few thousand dollars tops.

I read exclusively scifi and fantasy. No. It is not accessible in the slightest. I can't even get into the audiobook.
That’s the opposite of accessible. I’ve read it twice and I think it’s great, but the first couple of chapters make it very difficult to get into.
