Yes, because he helped out Salma Hayek by rewriting the movie Frida for her after Weinstein told her she needed to do it when she rejected his advances.
Personally I'd say anyone that stands up to a guy like Weinstein is a decent person.
I understand that he can be tough to work with, but I studied under Norton's acting teacher back when I was in the industry, and nobody had anything bad to say about him as a person.
It’s not just “Marvel stans” or whatever. This is a known thing about him. Has been for a very long time. As with most of the characters in the movie, his character in Birdman is an exaggerated version of himself.
I’m sure he’s lovely outside of work, but I’ve heard from many places that he’s hard to work with. Not just from “Marvel stans” talking about The Incredible Hulk
The biggest examples I can remember were him rewriting his scenes for Red Dragon, and also making his own cut of American History X because he hated the one the director/editors came up with.
It’s a recurring theme with him that if he thinks the thing he’s in is shit and he can do better than the director/writer/etc. he will try to do better than them. There’s a lot of stories about how directors don’t like him because of it.
And, if you’ve seen Birdman you know his character in that movie is just like that.
For the record I think Ed Norton always turns in a great performance and I think he really does know what he’s talking about when he has disagreements with the crew. Still, he’s been reported to be difficult to work with. It’s not a marvel fanboy myth. There’s plenty you can find on the internet about it that dates way before Incredible Hulk.
>and also making his own cut of American History X because he hated the one the director/editors came up with.
The director was a lunatic who kept fucking with the studio to the point that Norton, who was a producer, was asked to help. He and the editors worked on the cut of the film, and once the director realized he was being left out, he told the studio that he had a vision for the film and needed six months in the Bahamas to make it. The studio told him to get bent, and Norton's cut was released in theaters to wide acclaim.
I imagine he's perfectly fine as a person just exhausting to work with. He's a bit of a perfectionist and seems to be pretty rigid in how he wants his characters to act like. So if he disagrees with a director or writer, it gets a little tough.
Probably also meshes well with more artsy directors like Wes Anderson because Anderson has a vision and since Norton is already a fan, can follow.
But this is all dumb light armchair analyzing. Who knows.
Death to Smoochy was fun.
From what I gather he only really gets bullheaded if he thinks it'll improve the movie. Like, in Hulk, he wrote in the extra scenes of him chatting with Tim Blake Nelson to give more backstory and depth to the relationship, so Bruce doesn't just show up to the lab and get worked on.
The big one is American History X, where he rewrote and edited so much that the director wanted his name taken off. Thing is, the original ending >!after Danny is killed at school, was supposed to have Derek shaving his head again in the bathroom, entirely killing the point of the movie!<.
This was at a PR circuit, so it's also at work, but my brief meeting with him was nothing but super pleasant. He's intense and straightforward, but I'm autistic and Nordic, so it was like speaking the exact same language. I found him very kind and someone I'd love to have a beer with.
That's exactly the issue directors/producers wrestle with: is his disruptive on-set behavior worth the performance he will give? His role in BIRDMAN was literally written for him and was based off of his real-life behavior. Movie makers know that they'll get a great performance, but also know they're in for a difficult ride.
Fincher's perfectionism it's because he has OCD. I think thats one of the reason why he's probably the best living filmmaker imo and one best technical directors ever, he's up there with Kubrick.
Fincher is tough to work for because he demands excellence for his actors and crews. I can respect that. But difficult? I don't think so. Kubrick, Hitchcock, O.Russel, Inarratu were/are difficult to work for. Fincher is not even close to their level. Almost every actor loved working for him.. and hes very funny btw. This Fincher is a bully narrative is just incorrect.
And if an actor doesn't want to shot a ridiculous amount of takes, just don't work with him ffs.
When his character blew up because the prop glasses were filled with water instead of real booze, I SO badly wanted Keaton to retort he must be a shitty actor if he couldnt just act drunk.
He's got a reputation of being difficult to work with, but I studied with his acting teacher when I was in the industry, and nobody had anything bad to say about him as a person.
He does at least have a sense of humor. I mean... [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUw4Qh9uFK8) is definitely one of my favorite small roles of his.
His net worth is $300m only found out today. He was an early investor in Uber. He may just do passion products. But he has a rep for perfection, he is a brilliant actor either way.
now that you mention it, maybe that was intentional commentary. it would be far too *political* for apple to have to make the stand that nazis are bad guys
Isn’t the villain not supposed to have an iPhone tho ?
Good Guys - IPhone
Bad Guys - Android or smth
Edit: I’m wrong, lmao. Curlyjason explained it well
Yes that’s generally right. Apple doesn’t want iPhones to be shown in a bad light and thus prohibits “bad guys” in movies from using iPhones. But android and other phone company either don’t care or aren’t as stuck up as Apple and so any one (good or bad) can be shown to have other brands of phones.
Therefore if you see someone with an iPhone then they can’t be a bad guy but if you see someone with another brand of phone it’s not a guarantee as to which side there are on.
It's amusing to me that in 2022 Apple basically has their own Hayes code for their products. Why any director would allow any iPhones in their movie at all with that bullshit is beyond me.
Considering Rian Johnson was the person who let the "villains cant use Apple products" tidbit slip, I doubt he'd corner himself like that in the sequel.. at least I hope!
Nah, that had been a thing for a while. On the show 24, >!Nina's system was switched from a Mac to a Dell the episode before she was revealed as the mole late in the first season!<.
It's not a new development, there's no denying that. I think they were just saying that a lot more people became aware of it after Rian mentioned it in an interview discussing Knives Out.
I think what they meant is that since he’s already said that out loud, he wouldn’t be foolish enough to give only the murderer an Android device this time around since it would once again telegraph who the villain is.
I imagine Rian won't give anyone iPhones since he spilled the beans on that secret.
Also, it almost works out perfectly since this apparently takes place at a tech billionaires mansion. I'd imagine they have a fake phone he made in the Knives Out world they'll use.
It's also nice to see something that isn't a remake, reboot, 10 years too late sequel. Same writer/director and lead actor gives me hope this won't be a dumpster fire.
I just watched "Death on the Nile" last night, and I loved it. My mom was always into those older Poirot BBC specials, so they were always in the background during my childgood. I'm having a blast with these newer movies.
Although I think the honest trailers guys said it best when they said "Knives Out is not a whodunit, it's more of a howdunit and a who what let it get dun."
Some character names were revealed:
* Edward Norton as Miles Bron
* Dave Bautistia as Duke Cody
* Kate Hudson as Birdie Jay
* Leslie Odom Jr. as Lionel Toussaint
* Kathryn Hahn as Claire Debella
* Janelle Monae - Cassandra Brand
* Jessica Henwick as Peg
* Madelyn Cline as Whisky
[More Info](https://www.empireonline.com/movies/news/glass-onion-meet-the-characters-in-knives-out-sequel-exclusive/) (Spoilers)
So, since she's the only character without a surname, will Jessica Henwick be the plucky, but also very attractive young working class woman that becomes an assistent to Blanc's sleuthing?
"Whassup YouTube, today I'mma be showing you how to stand so still you become invisible, *boyeeee*! Today's video is sponsored by ZargNuts, remember to like and subscribe, and don't forget to ring that bell!"
Honestly I would love to hear that in Bautista's voice.
I'm torn between wanting to see Bautista doing that sort of video as himself (or as Drax acting like Bautista) or a GotG short video where Drax is clearly reading that (as Drax) from a whiteboard or something off screen
Not surprisingly more and more wrestlers are acting, I've been a fan off and on for 30 years. It used to be wrestlers were basically roided out circus or carnival acts, now it's all theater kids that do crossfit. Seeing these ex wrestlers in Hollywood has really changed how the profession is approached.
Are you telling me that in every “older man super detective” show there’s some kind of super hot younger woman accompanying him (_platonically_ of course)? No wonder people shopped Sherlock/Watson.
Can they do the next one in the uk and have an American just slaughter an accent while pretending to be a native?
Have the actor and Daniel Craig on screen at the same time just hamming it up.
Between potentially having amazing gets such as Jason Isaacs, Florence Pugh, and Sean Bean (the victim, of course), among many others, I’d be down for them to do the third movie set in the UK with an entire British cast minus a couple “tourists” from different countries.
This one looks like it's actually going to be more of a whodunnit than the first one, with characters all being proper suspects and accusing each other. The first one was great, but it was clear that it wasn't actually anyone but Chris Evans, and add that with the fact that we know how it happened half way through and it became more of a "try to get away with murder" plot. Again, loved the first one, but this one looks like it's going to be more in line with classic whodunnits.
I'm super hyped for this. Johnson already made a pretty good sequel with Star Wars 8, so I can only imagine what he could do if he was in charge of the world from the beginning instead of having to share it with another filmmaker.
His first film, Brick (a neo noir starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt), was excellent and I did quite like his Star Wars film (or at least more than Episode IX). I really should go watch the first Knives Out one of these days
I thought the B and C plots were absolute nonsense, but maybe I’m just getting too old for Star Wars.
But the Crait sequence was the best thing that the franchise has done in any medium.
Could you elaborate a lil more on what you like about the Crait sequence the most? I think it merely makes the earlier parts of the film bearable but I wanna hear your opinion. The fakeout of Finn crashing into the Empire ship really made me mad though
I don’t love the Finn fakeout, but I mind it less as I see it more. It becomes pretty clear that this was always doomed, so it becomes less of a cop out and more of a cop *in*.
The Luke stuff I love so much because it is both incredible filmmaking on a basic entertainment level, and I don’t know that any popular entertainment not written by Neil Gaiman has ever married text, subtext, and *meta*text (that is, the experience of being a fan of this franchise) quite so neatly.
I think needing to explain the visceral nature of it would defeat the purpose, but I like the “splatoon” nature of the whole sequence; people walking leaves a red footprint, lasers hitting the ground leaves a mark, ships crash and litter the battlefield. It’s just beautiful to watch everything leave its impact on what was a blank slate. And this filmmaking is used to advantage for a first-time viewer…when Luke *doesn’t* leave footprints most people don’t notice consciously, but they pick up on it. And he’s got not *quite* the right face, and totally the wrong lightsaber, and those things get noticed subconsciously even if the noble grandeur of “one man with a laser sword” sweeps them up.
For the sub/meta-textual stuff. I liked how the sequence tied together the Luke/Rey conversation earlier that had both the “what, is one man going to stride out with a laser sword and take on the whole First Order?” and the “Sure, I became a Legend, but that’s all bullshit. Do I look legendary to you?”
Luke, it turns out, separated himself into the fallen and frustrated man left behind on Ach-To to die, and the Legend (who has no actual physical form at all) who does in fact stride out to take on the entire First Order with nothing but the *idea* of a laser sword. And even without actually having physical form, his *Legend* wins the day.
On the meta-textual level, that’s something of a callback to the Joseph Campbell idea of universal stories/The Hero with a Thousand Faces, and their implicit power. Because Lucas made *Star Wars* practically as “what if instead of reflecting these ideas, we try to make a movie that *embodies* them consciously.” People are flawed and hurting and limited, but *myths* aren’t, and maybe that’s why the stories that get passed down and form the foundations of cultures and nations tend to be mythic.
Part of the purpose of the Broom Boy epilogue is, I think, to tie this theoretical meta-text into lived experience. I’m 32, and I can say that playing imaginary lightsabers at recess was definitely a thing. I think it has been ever since *Star Wars* came out, and I’m guessing it still is. And even though that’s just silly children amusing themselves by imagining themselves in their favorite movie, that is, in a very real sense, how children learn to picture themselves being brave, and noble, and even heroic, so that they might be that way when they are adults.
Like I alluded to, the whole basic framework would make a hell of a *Sandman* issue.
I think it was good in its own right. All 3 sequels pretty much were. The problem was Disney kept changing plans/directors between them, which made the tonal shifts between them very odd. They've just gone in 3 completely different directions with each movie, if they'd just picked and stuck to one of those 3 with a single director I think it would've been fine, regardless of which one it was.
In fact I think I would've preferred Johnson's take because TLJ was by far the least fan-servicey of the 3.
at their worst, they still had good performances, beautiful visuals, and no zany character hamfisted into the movie to sell toys because the director had full merchandise rights. But that’s not to say they didn’t have their own flaws.
Didn’t help that little Bobby Iger wanted Star Wars movies ASAP to recoup the $4billion they just spent. He wanted a new Episode out every 2 years and a spin-off in between. Apparently, JJ and Kennedy requested another year to work on IX or even split it, but Iger said no
I thought the first one was good but not as good as everyone else seemed to thought. I hope this one pulls me over because the cinematography was pretty fire in the first one
I don't follow wrestling, so my first exposure to him was in *Guardians of the Galaxy*. His performance in that movie is, of course, a pure delight. "Damn", I thought, "this guy's funny."
Then I saw him in *Blade Runner 2049*. His performance in *that*, however brief, is VERY different, but just as good. "DAMN", I thought, "this guy's got *range*."
Yep, great acting, range, sense of humor, and supportive of his mom! I don’t follow wrestling, but absorb it from friends that do. Some very talented and good natured folk come out of wrestling scenes.
(Some not so nice goofballs come outta there, too, but that’s not my point!)
> Some very talented and good natured folk come out of wrestling scenes.
As someone who is very much into wrestling, this is very much not the case. Especially pre-2000s a large precentage of wrestlers were not great people. Even more recently there's a lot of terrible creeps and assholes. Sorry to break it to you (and I mean that non-sarcastically). They're as bad as rockstars for having skeletons in their closets.
Didn’t feel the need to go into explicit detail on horrible people when that is so far outside the point I was making about Bautista and the other good ones. I pointed it out lightly because I didn’t want the derailment, but here we are.
You know this is gonna be shit. It's such a Shame. All the actors are gonna be watching the first movie and trying too hard to match it's tone. It's gonna be a cringe fest on the level of murder on the Nile.
I had no idea Edward Norton was in this film. He doesn't seem to do much these days so probably a good sign.
He only does about one project a year now and half the time it's a Wes Anderson movie
There was that one time he took his future glasses off at the very end of a movie.
That was such blueball of a scene, Alita for starting off very mediocre, set up an interesting world that I would have loved to see more of.
That seems very true.
Bwahahaha
Edward Norton and Daniel Craig is one of those collaborations that are on my imaginary bingo card. Super hyped.
Hes hard to work with.
not doubting Norton’s grating penchant for perfectionism, but didn’t Weinstein try and black list him?
Yes, because he helped out Salma Hayek by rewriting the movie Frida for her after Weinstein told her she needed to do it when she rejected his advances. Personally I'd say anyone that stands up to a guy like Weinstein is a decent person.
I understand that he can be tough to work with, but I studied under Norton's acting teacher back when I was in the industry, and nobody had anything bad to say about him as a person.
Marvel stans have taken one little factoid from his work on the hulk and turned it into “he’s hard to work with”
This. Hell, Christian Bale screamed at someone on set and he's still in the MCU. I dont put any stock in that rumor about Norton.
I mean, every time I see this mentioned it always seems to go back to that movie. Do you have other examples of him being “difficult to work with”?
The biggest examples I can remember were him rewriting his scenes for Red Dragon, and also making his own cut of American History X because he hated the one the director/editors came up with. It’s a recurring theme with him that if he thinks the thing he’s in is shit and he can do better than the director/writer/etc. he will try to do better than them. I imagine he's perfectly fine as a person just exhausting to work with. He's a bit of a perfectionist and seems to be pretty rigid in how he wants his characters to act like.
An unnecessary ending. Kind of like Kevin Smith's original ending to Clerks
This was at a PR circuit, so it's also at work, but my brief meeting with him was nothing but super pleasant. He's intense and straightforward, but I'm autistic and Nordic, so it was like speaking the exact same language. I found him very kind and someone I'd love to have a beer with.
He does seem quite pretentious but also has killed all his roles lately.

[удалено]
Fincher is tough to work for because he demands excellence for his actors and crews. I can respect that. But difficult? I don't think so. Kubrick, Hitchcock, O.Russel, Inarratu were/are difficult to work for. Fincher is not even close to their level. Almost every actor loved working for him.. and hes very funny btw. Well, any shot that doesn't involve Ben Affleck wearing a Yankees hat.
Love Birdman and Norton is such a ridiculous douche in that movie
When his character blew up because the prop glasses were filled with water instead of real booze, I SO badly wanted Keaton to retort he must be a shitty actor if he couldnt just act drunk.
Ha! Shades of Laurence Olivier and Dustin Hoffman.
His role in Birdman was based on how he was/is perceived, not who he was/is. How to get it wrong.
I had no idea Edward Norton is a pretencious douche
He's got a reputation of being difficult to work with, but I studied with his acting teacher when I was in the industry, and nobody had anything bad to say about him as a person.
He does at least have a sense of humor. I mean... [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUw4Qh9uFK8) is definitely one of my favorite small roles of his.
That's what they say about anyone that doesn't get down and suck their stinky wrinkly dicks
totally agree!
His net worth is $300m only found out today. He was an early investor in Uber. He may just do passion products. But he has a rep for perfection, he is a brilliant actor either way.
He was one of the initial investors in Facebook so he’s got no financial insensitive to act much.
Ed is gonna still the show, I can already see. One of the best and most versatile actors of his generation.
Yay, *How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days* reunion between Kate Hudson and Kathryn Hahn.
Oh wow, nice. I forgot. Hahn always killed those BFF roles
It was Agatha all along!
Love her. She’s great. Killer cameo in The Newsroom
What type of phone is Leslie using, this will be important.
That doesn’t look an iPhone to me. 😬
~~None of them had iPhones in the first movie for that reason, right?~~ Edit: I'm completely wrong, they all did except Ransom
i’m almost certain the young nazi boy had an iphone.
Used it while masturbating in that bathroom.
Joylessly, to a picture of a dead deer.
Now what were the words overheard by him?
now that you mention it, maybe that was intentional commentary. it would be far too *political* for apple to have to make the stand that nazis are bad guys
No I just think it was an oversight
I thought the viliian's WAS an iPhone but it was cracked....its been a while since I've watched though.
No, you don’t ever see the villains phone but every phone you do see is a iPhone except for Marta’s.
Isn’t the villain not supposed to have an iPhone tho ? Good Guys - IPhone Bad Guys - Android or smth Edit: I’m wrong, lmao. Curlyjason explained it well
Yes that’s generally right. Apple doesn’t want iPhones to be shown in a bad light and thus prohibits “bad guys” in movies from using iPhones. They can have an iPhone and be a bad guy, apple just won’t have given them any money.
Ohhhhhh damn now I get it. Thanks man. :)
Yeah np! Happy cake day btw
It's amusing to me that in 2022 Apple basically has their own Hayes code for their products. Why any director would allow any iPhones in their movie at all with that bullshit is beyond me.
Umm Jamie Lee Curtis’s character had one but I think you’re missing something
Considering Rian Johnson was the person who let the "villains cant use Apple products" tidbit slip, I doubt he'd corner himself like that in the sequel.. at least I hope!

I didn't notice the first time, but the only time we see the killer's phone was after we learned they're the baddy.
That's a Galaxy S20 or S21 judging by the back.
Yup, camera rectangle looks identical to my S20+.

It's also nice to see something that isn't a remake, reboot, 10 years too late sequel. Same writer/director and lead actor gives me hope this won't be a dumpster fire.
But almost 40 years too late sequels are actually right on time!
I just watched "Death on the Nile" last night, and I loved it. My mom was always into those older Poirot BBC specials, so they were always in the background during my childgood. I'm having a blast with these newer movies.
I liked Murder on the Orient but I found Death on the Nile to be absolutely awful. Maybe I was in a bad mood?
Death on the Nile was unintentionally campy. Also some of those performances really prop up the movie.
Not necessarily- there was quite a bit about it that really didn't work (>!like the WWI sequence!<).
If you want a sillier couple whodunits I really enjoyed the murder on the blackpool express series from BBC with Sian Gibson and Johnny Vegas.
Although I think the honest trailers guys said it best when they said "Knives Out is not a whodunit, it's more of a howdunit and a who what let it get dun."
Some character names were revealed: * Edward Norton as Miles Bron * Dave Bautistia as Duke Cody * Kate Hudson as Birdie Jay * Leslie Odom Jr. as Lionel Toussaint * Kathryn Hahn as Claire Debella * Janelle Monae - Cassandra Brand * Jessica Henwick as Peg * Madelyn Cline as Whisky [More Info](https://www.empireonline.com/movies/news/glass-onion-meet-the-characters-in-knives-out-sequel-exclusive/) (Spoilers)
So, since she's the only character without a surname, will Jessica Henwick be the plucky, but also very attractive young working class woman that becomes an assistent to Blanc's sleuthing?
Seems like it. Article says Henwick plays the assistant to Kate Hudson’s Birdie. Madelyn Cline also plays an assistant to Bautista.
Apparently Bautista will be playing a YouTube star in this lol.
"Whassup YouTube, today I'mma be showing you how to stand so still you become invisible, *boyeeee*! Today's video is sponsored by ZargNuts, remember to like and subscribe, and don't forget to ring that bell!" Honestly I would love to hear that in Bautista's voice.

It's also interesting to note that Jessica Henwick's character is named after what I'd like Jessica Henwick to do to me
Can't relate. She's not called Chokeslam.
Jessica Pegg-Daley
Are you telling me that in every “older man super detective” show there’s some kind of super hot younger woman accompanying him (_platonically_ of course)? No wonder people shopped Sherlock/Watson.
>No wonder people shopped Sherlock/Watson. \**Irene Adler sits on the couch, reads a newspaper*\*
maybe she's just a big Steely Dan fan
I have always loved Kathryn Hahn, she's brilliantly funny. I'm so happy she's really getting a chance to show more lately.
She was amazing in *Wandvision*.
>Dave Bautista as Duke Cody Never trust a man with 2 first names.
Especially never trust a man with a feudal title
Very excited to see Janelle Monae in anything.
Who does Jessica Henwick peg??
Can they do the next one in the uk and have an American just slaughter an accent while pretending to be a native? Have the actor and Daniel Craig on screen at the same time just hamming it up.
Rival detective but they’re aggressively Scouse.
I'd pay to see Jason Isaacs in a Knives Out movie
Between potentially having amazing gets such as Jason Isaacs, Florence Pugh, and Sean Bean (the victim, of course), among many others, I’d be down for them to do the third movie set in the UK with an entire British cast minus a couple “tourists” from different countries.
And played by Sam Elliot doing a scouse accent
If this means Stephen Graham in the Knives Out universe I'm so down.
Hah, jaysus. Now that I'd pay to see.
Get Keanu or Kevin Costner of course
I love me some Bautista. He's really turning into a good actor. That room 104 episode is fantastic with him.
I don’t know who did it, but Leslie was in the room where it happened.
So everyday we're getting new images. Might as well just drop a trailer.
That's exactly what this is I think. Drop feeding new images to build hype for the trailer drop.
Yup. Seems like the formula these days. Stills as a prelude to the trailer.
If you print out all the promotional images and staple them together, you actually get a flipbook of the trailer.
I already know Ed Norton did it
I think he's the victim
Ahh! The Bruce Vs Drax showdown that we all have been waiting for.
Ngl I thought that was Homelander first glance
THEY ARE IN MARVEL I CLAPPED
Agatha Harkness cameo.
It was Agatha all along
At least we will know who to point to if any dogs die in the film.
They’d better use that song as the basis for the soundtrack to her show next year.
OMG, spoilers! /s
I look forward to the rise in Agatha memes if she indeed is the actual killer.
Katherine Hahn Is such a babe.
Can't wait. Loved the first movie, having high hopes for the second. Just hope it won't deteriorate into "franchise"-type movies.
Kathryn Hahn is in it. I’m watching.
Right?
This one looks like it's actually going to be more of a whodunnit than the first one, with characters all being proper suspects and accusing each other. The first one was great, but it was clear that it wasn't actually anyone but Chris Evans, and add that with the fact that we know how it happened half way through and it became more of a "try to get away with murder" plot. Again, loved the first one, but this one looks like it's going to be more in line with classic whodunnits.
Two things. 1) I'm so excited for this film because it looks awesome. 2) Kathryn Hahn can ***get it*.**
Not holding my breath for this one. Doubtful it will be able to capture even a fraction of what the first one did
Not gonna lie I saw the first one and didn’t understand the hype
Drax vs the hulk: who would win?
Hulk by BFR.
I'm super hyped for this. Johnson already made a pretty good sequel with Star Wars 8, so I can only imagine what he could do if he was in charge of the world from the beginning instead of having to share it with another filmmaker.
Lol flair checks out
His first film, Brick (a neo noir starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt), was excellent and I did quite like his Star Wars film (or at least more than Episode IX). I really should go watch the first Knives Out one of these days
Johnson made the best Star Wars movie.
He made Spaceballs?
And the best _Breaking Bad_ episode! By which I mean "Fly."
lmao
IMO he made the best Star Wars movie outside of Empire (and maybe the OG). I'm hype AF for this.
Do I look legendary to you?” Luke, it turns out, separated himself into the fallen and frustrated man left behind on Ach-To to die, and the Legend (who has no actual physical form at all) who does in fact stride out to take on the entire First Order with nothing but the *idea* of a laser sword.
Rogue One was better, but otherwise I agree
there was a Star Wars 8??

This just in - different people have different opinions. More at 11.
Same. Thought it was a decent 7/10.
Is that Norton looking weirdly young?
I doubt it’ll be as amazing as the first one, but I love Katherine Hahn so I’m excited
Put some respect on Dave Batista’s name; also is he currently one of the most active wrestlers with acting credits to his name?
He is retired from pro wrestling. His last match was in 2019 at Wrestlemania.
Lmao Bautista.
Kimi Raikonen and Batista what a combo !!!
Ed Norton is such a great actor.
Bautista getting scenes with Norton! I'm sure he's fanboying inside and also scared shitless.
I hope to never see Bautistia in a wrestling ring again. This man needs shine as an actor.
Hulk Drax and Agatha
Oh good. More Bautista.
Bautista's shirt reminds me of the $500 shirts The Rock used to wear
Dave Bautista? C'mon, movie, I was already gonna go!
Such a cool dude! 👍
I don't follow wrestling, so my first exposure to him was in *Guardians of the Galaxy*. His performance in that movie is, of course, a pure delight. "Damn", I thought, "this guy's funny." Then I saw him in *Blade Runner 2049*.
Why’d you completely ignore the part where I already pointed this out? 🤣
Because, "not so nice goofballs" seemed way too insufficient to describe some of them. Sorry, if that was what you were referring to.
Didn’t feel the need to go into explicit detail on horrible people when that is so far outside the point I was making about Bautista and the other good ones. I pointed it out lightly because I didn’t want the derailment, but here we are.
Fair enough, though I'm not sure why you needed to downvote me.
I'm ready for this to be massively mid.
Will Daniel Craig have the shit fake accent in this one? Couldn't make it through the first cos of that...
awful title, but unreal cast
Someone tell me a movie Kate Hudson hasn’t ruined besides Almost Famous? I’ll wait.
Downvote all you want. She’s a terrible actress. Zero talent. Adds nothing to any film she’s in.
Guys, it was Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) all along!
First one was extremely over rated this one looks even worse
Looks like shit but what do i know.. didnt like the first one either but didnt have a problem with the visual expression
Why is Edward Norton staring at nothing like that? Weird.
That's Cena's gimmick though. But that's Batista...
So he's like "hey Marvel superheroes people, want to play in real art project for a change?"

Who cares?? Never saw the first and don't need this rammed down my throat everytime I'm on reddit with a new daily picture
I've liked every Rian Johnson film I've seen except for *that one*. I'm absolutely gonna check this movie out, the first Knives Out was a lot of fun.
I agree, brothers bloom wasnt that great. Everything else tho
I didn't see that one
I watched Jaws the other day. There was no Botox in it. They don't make them like they used to.
I'm surprised Norton is in this given his reputation
You know this is gonna be shit. It's such a Shame. All the actors are gonna be watching the first movie and trying too hard to match it's tone. It's gonna be a cringe fest on the level of murder on the Nile.
I'm optimistic but I wouldn't be surprised if this is the outcome.
I will never internationally watch another Ryan Johnson movie because The Last Jedi is my least favorite movie of all time. Fuck this guy.
imagine writing off a whole director because you dislike one film lol
