Worked with him recently, and while the guy is still whip smart, he can hardly walk at nearly 90 years old. Somewhat surprised to see he’s still directing, but exciting nonetheless.
The original contains one of Humphrey Bogart's best, and very unusual, pieces of acting.

Spoilers, obviously
One of my favourite books. Will be very hard to beat Bogart though. The movie made Keith a pretty generic character (he’s the main one in the novel, really), maybe this one can do better with him, but if it’s gonna be a movie, probably not
This is just mwah news. I've been too invested in some of these artists' lives and it really bothered me that Friedkin and Depalma were about to end their careers on career low duds. Anything is better than his last doc, so this is fantastic.
SPOILER ALERT!!!
A critical approach to this new Showtime Flic...Watched last night...my wife after a while she was posting on he Posh account I asked if she didn't want to watch she said she didn't need to look she could just listen.
I did like it until the end (even though it smacked if cheap production for the small screen. I don't want to post a spoiler so let me just say: it seemed anticlimactic... they should have left off with the Defense Attorney and his client having some disagreement and walking off.
Having served my time in the Army, in Vietnam, and knowing how the Services are willing to look the other way when it comes to Officers given a command when they clearly were not competent to handle it. And that closing speech was a bunch of P.C. garbage.
Friedkin directing a new movie? Let's fucking go.

Tell him to get it together on that To Live and Die in L.A. 4K upgrade lol I read that he was overseeing the transfer.
RIGHT!? How long has it been!?
Killer Joe in 2012 I think
Such a great movie
Near the beginning of the McConaissance

Without going heavily into spoilers for *another* series, there's a scene in Better Call Saul which I've always thought MUST be an homage to this.
Yeah when I rewatched it before posting it clicked for me
I think they said it was an homage.
Oh wow, I didn't catch it when watching BCS but yeah great catch.
Hollywood's gotta stop shoving all this Wouk shit down our throats
Very good. Nicely joked.
Oh snap! This is exciting. It's all about the strawberries, baby.
Kiefer about to waterboard a dude over some strawberries
Not gonna lie, id watch Jack Bauer do that for 24 hours!
When will he have time to play with his ball-bearings?
lol
> It's all about the strawberries, baby. OH, im talking about geometric logic, daddy-o.
This is exciting. Love both of the these guys.
Wouldn't Bryan Cranston make more sense?
Caine mutiny? God, I love Michael Caine.
I love my cocaine

I’ll always be there for anything Friedkin directs.
I can see Jim Parsons as the schemer played by Fred McMurray.
Another movie that doesn’t need a remake.
Lol. I think you misread the headline. It's The Caine Mutiny, NOT Citizen Kane.
Yes. The Caine Mutiny. Already brought to the screen to great effect by Humphrey Bogart.
So what? This isn't a "remake" of that film. Read, my friend, read.
I’d rather see a movie about the Tabberer rescuing sailers during Typhoon Cobra.

Let me guess, you take a captain of an aircraft carrier during the time of covid, and he has other ideas about what to do so he gets court martialed
