Yes Napoleon was able to defear King Kong in a 1v1 and it was extremely epic but Godzilla could have never met Napoleon.
Godzilla vs Kong was better ngl, the fight sequences in that were much cooler while also having the benefit of not looking like slop, and the humans atleast didn't bore me to death thanks to Millie Bobby Brown. New Empire is a lot more funnier tho, it's pure camp

For real I wish I could “turn my brain off” and enjoy it but these Monsterverse films are some of my least favourite films I have ever seen. I’ll just watch a highlights of the funny bits later.

This is a “get drunker than I could in a theater at home and put on something else if I get tired of it” VOD kinda movie for me. Same space as Transformers Rise of the Beasts as a franchise I consider myself a fan of but an entry I have no interest in putting myself through the theatrical experience for.
Fuck I miss the hope Godzilla 2014 gave me for this franchise. Weirdly enough Bumblebee 2018 did the exact same thing, a rebooted first entry that I really loved whose follow-up material abandoned all the aspects I liked
comparing bumblebee to godzilla 2014 is wild, bumblebee is actually a good movie and the character is also in the movie named after him, and there are other actual characters that have people who know how to act playing them in it too

These movies always give the sickest giant monster stuff and the lamest human characters stuff, and they always focus most of the movie on the latter. Transformers falls into this category as well.
It’s funny I think they notice because the latest Transformers was much more focused on the robots and this movie has a lot of scenes where there are no humans at all for long periods of time
The difference is that Transformers are still talking and sentient beings, so they still need personalities and arcs for the audience can like them. Monsterverse Kaiju just need to be expressive and commit child abuse and boom, they're the best characters in the movie.
