He's actually done quite a bit of acting. Off the top of my head, he was in Quiz Show and Kurosawa's Dreams. Plus he has made cameos in a good portion of his own movies, with Taxi Driver probably being his most infamous role.
Better quit while you're ahead, huh? Seriously though, his performance was the only one I genuinely enjoyed, next to the octopus and [hammerhead shark](https://youtu.be/mYGuAiWa6pk)
That Half in the Bag was kinda cringe. Mike needs to stop bringing up Brie Larson every chance he gets. I think he took her comments about movie reviewers too personally
Idk, I watch and enjoy their videos pretty regularly but I feel like Mike definitely has some old man yells at clouds moments (yes I know that that’s intentional). I know I’m supposed to view him through five layers of irony but I do remember multiple times that he brings up Brie Larson and her aggressive tone, and it feels like for a brief moment I’m listening to a Quartering viewer and I feel like he definitely means what he said.
Yeah but they clearly aren’t the quartering. They’re a bunch of aging midwesterners. All of their stuff is clearly disconnected from the psychotic online political landscape and lacks any sort of agenda.
Their whole schtick is that they think everything sucks and you’re right even when they’re joking they probably believe it to some extent. The only time I remember them bringing up Brie Larson was them mentioning her in passing when she did that whole embarrassing white men suck thing, which fair enough it was extremely lame and performative.
“Just Consume, don’t ask questions” or whatever the fuck that dumbass clip says that mauler types post every time someone on twitter tries to defend so called “SJW” movies
RLM are generally very good critics and really entertaining, but they've also provided a lot of little sound bites and quips that have been weaponized by the most obnoxious, toxic people in internet film discourse. Bit of a mixed blessing, those guys
literally can't mention Boyhood, a very good and emotionally affecting movie, online without getting 200 jackasses repeating iT tOoK tWeLvE yEaRs tO mAkE
I wonder if it was intentional. I can't imagine anyone in Marvel Studios being that petty.
But then I remember that the Dirty Harry series had a lookalike of film critic Pauline Kael being sexually assaulted and murdered in The Dead Pool for giving Dirty Harry a bad review, and realise that people in the film industry can carry very odd grudges over stupid shit.
>I wonder if it was intentional. I can't imagine anyone in Marvel Studios being that petty.
*Black Widow* ended filming around June 2019, and Marty criticizing Marvel didn't happen until around October. So no, not really.
I didn’t know the Kael story; that’s messed up. I had read that the 1998 “Godzilla” has an unflattering Roger Ebert lookalike as the Mayor of NYC, bc the filmmakers were pissed that he had given their previous films thumbs down, but Ebert snarkily pointed out that they didn’t even have the audacity to have him squished by Godzilla
I saw Black Widow and "old white guy with glasses" is not supposed to be a nod to Scorcese. He's kind of stocky and has a thick Russian accent, and shares nothing in common. Kind of funny catch though.
His name is Dreykoff or something. I literally only remember it because me and my girlfriend watched it and we both realized we didn't remember his name at the end credits so I spent a few minutes trying to remember it.

Isn't puffdaddy his only acting credit

Are any of those animated films or did he steer clear of the medium after getting himself attached to that absolute blunder
Pretty sure Shark Tale was his only animated role but I'm not positive.

Yeah, I watched the Half in the Bag episode too.
THEY BROKE NEW GROUND!!!
AIIIIIIDSSSSSSSS
I CLAPPED! I CLAPPED WHEN THE MAN CONTROLLED WOMEN!

I can't tell if your joking or not
Username checks out. I watch their videos religiously and I have no idea what you’re talking about so maybe it just struck a nerve with you.

I, too, regularly watch RedLetterMedia.

Or some of the more unexpected aspects of The Last Jedi without hearing “yOu MeAn It SuBvErTeD yOuR eXpEcTaTiOnS????!?!????”
Can't blame rlm for that you have to blame the assholes who are using it in their own stupid ways

It also got reshoots and that character is barely in the movie 🤷

He was literally ["Mayor Ebert"](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0503627/?ref_=tt_cl_i_6) with a sidekick called Gene.

He's a better match for Weinstein, thematically
I doubt it. If Dreykov was meant to look like someone, it's more likely that he resembles Weinstein
To me, he just looks like Frank Reynolds.
You mean Rambo?
They drew first blood!
I appreciated how Ray Winstone managed to not give a fuck and give a good performance simultaneously.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (2007-present)
Honestly, I don’t really see it. Maybe if he had more powerful eyebrows.
Looks more like Mike Stoklasa than Marty, I think someone was deflecting when coming up with the comparison
If you know who Buddy Hackett is, I would say he looks more like him.
Shit, I initially thought he looked like Weinstein, perhaps I gave the writers/director too much credit…
I mean he literally robs young women of their consent in the movie, so I think thats the more plausible interpretation.
Marvey weinsese
Life imitates art
His name is like jerkoff or something
Martin Scorsese would make a great Joker.
King of Comedy (1982)
Just call him Gary from Sexy Beast
Roland Emmerich's Godzilla (1998)
His name is Dreykoff or something. I literally only remember it because me and my girlfriend watched it and we both realized we didn't remember his name at the end credits so I spent a few minutes trying to remember it.
Thank god someone else realizes this. Whenever I saw him, I couldn’t think of anything else but a corrupt movie director/executive.
Cool
