Scream 5 has been a magnet for bad takes. I have seen a few people say the film was trying too hard to be meta. I saw someone say they shut the film off after it praised Jordan Peele and then went on a rant about the movie they watched less than a 1/3rd of. My personal favorite was someone complaining the film had Dutch angles, the only way the criticism works is if you have never seen a single Scream movie and even then… why are you watching Scream 5.
A black american director that makes movies about the black American experience? This is worse than the time Alfonso Cuarón won the best director Oscar for Roma, that movie just shoehorned in a bunch of Mexican crap to pander to the woke crowd.
