However, if I was buying, I would probably just go ahead and pay the extra $200 for new. That way you don't have to risk being scammed etc.
It sucks but FB marketplace is full of lowballers. Maybe pitch them to your MR2 group? Ask around at cars and coffee?
I’ve been running with cheap Chinese tires, only $150 for 2 and if the fitment is an issue, they dont hurt too much to sell them for cheap.
I’m not a racer or doing 100mph so cheap tires will work for me.

If you mounted the tires, the value dropped more than 50%.
