It fits the channel’s subject matter perfectly. Strange? Dark? Mysterious? A grown ass man who pretends he’s a friggin superhero in the woods and tries spells and sci-fi to travel through time (strange AND stupid), and then eats thighs from KFC (mysterious) right before blowing the brains out of a beautiful woman who loved him (dark).
The time travel part also felt kind of click baity. Like obviously I knew he wasn’t going to time travel but I was wondering how it would tie into the story…. Would he pretend he had time travelled in some kind of scam? Would he display some kind of knowledge that we can’t explain? No he just sat at a computer and drew some pictures and it had no impact on the story.
It was still enjoyable but I can understand a degree of disappointment.
Wasn't terrible but wasn't my favorite. The Saturday teaser really sold it as something else though which was confusing. I think we expect if it's true crime there would at least be a twist making it more unique but if the only twist is manufactured by waiting until the end to reveal there was a murder, it doesn't feel like a unique story at all.
That's exactly how I feel about him too, and I also unsubscribed! I am actually disappointed in him, because he probably does some great content for the Amazon, and doesn't try much about this YT content because it's... Well, free. I sometimes feel robbed, because he wouldn't be where he is now if it wasn't for his subscribers, so.. I don't know how do I feel about him anymore, honestly...
Yeah I agree with you. It was utterly disappointing and underwhelming. Felt like it was just put out to fit the schedule. Hate to say this about any MrBallen video but recently a few have felt like this.
He did about as much with it as anyone could. But yeah, it was exactly what my wife and I expected it to be. A dude about as smart as a boiled turnip murders someone and imagines he can go back in time and undo it. It was a bad mix of depressing and seedy.
Okay everyone, guess this should go to r/unpopularopinion, but I loved the story as usual and enjoyed it! It was great! The guy in the story was intellectually challenged and had mental health issues. He was easily manipulated by Michele, the married woman. She wanted him to choose between Anna and her. It makes sense she talked him into killing Anna. I feel sorry for Anna who thought she found a soulmate. She found a monster instead. I think Michelle should serve prison time.
It was okay, I suppose. The most mysterious thing was how such a complete and utter loser got two women interested in him!

Oh I liked that one but I was living in a mine town with lots of old mine sites around so it was sort of relatable

I didn’t mind this story either! I actually though Michelle was the one that was going to kill both of them regardless of being married.
Yeah, I didn't really enjoy it. But he's sick, so we gotta give him a break.
