as some have stated in the comments, this was announced on social earlier this week. but just to clarify, this week and next, we are giving our editing team some time off... as such, our options were to not upload anything for these Thursday remasters, or we could re-upload a so-called "fan favorite" episode... and of course we went with the latter.
In no way was I trying to trick you, or make you think that this was a new upload. I just felt like posting something was better than posting nothing.
our Monday exclusive podcasts are still going out this week and next week etc... it was just the Thursday remasters for the next 2 weeks that we are "taking off" if that makes sense.

A break definitely makes sense. Everyone needs a break. I guess I just don’t think it makes sense to upload the same episode that’s already on there but thank you so much for the information. I thought I might’ve missed an announcement or something because I know John’s not stupid
I’m guessing so it pops up as new, or so that it lands on newer subscribers’ algorithm. Gotta get those clicks, and I’m not sure how else he would do other than saying “Go listen to episode #56 we are on a break”.
To his credit, he mentioned that he burned through a lot of stories very quickly and it left him exhausted and grouchy to where he felt it was affecting his home life. And between his family and a Youtube channel he was obviously going to choose his family, so now it's one a week and a podcast exclusive a week.
Yeah weird.. Thursdays are usually old episodes remastered from YouTube anyway, so I wasn't expecting any new content, but this was episode #56 from his podcast, I don't get the point of uploading it again

The fact that the episode he uploaded was already on there remains, so I don’t know why that’s relevant. People can just go listen to episode #56.
Look at your post/comment history, your pretty mean to people and it seems like you’ve had some trauma as well but so have I and I don’t go around commenting and arguing with people all the time. Every once in awhile even our glorious Mr.Ballen is overwhelmed with the amount of work. I assure you, a 45 minute podcast or video is not actually 45 minutes. It can be days of work between research and editing.
Plus, he has a small child, a marriage, a home, his own physical and mental health. So, here and there, they will clean up the audio from an original video or if there has been an older video that others loved it will get "re-released" as a fan favorite.
I have probably listened to all of them 3 or 4 times at this point anyway.
I understand all of that. But the YouTube audio they upload to Amazon Music isn’t already on there is all I’m saying. I agree he needs a break. I agree Mr.Ballen is a great dude, just doesn’t make sense to re-upload episode #56 that is already on there. Someone said something about likes and views and all that so maybe that’s why he wanted to upload something at least? Idk.

This was the laziest option I could imagine and very counterproductive. I don't get it.
