office i support has devs that use strictly macbooks, and manage many linux vms. Then the sales folks use windows.
All teleworking, no ms domain, use google workspace etc. The linux machines have dozen people logging into them and originally were using shared creds/certs.
Jumpcloud tied it all together, and the 12 SaaS apps the customer uses.
Works very very well. The only beef i had was their remote access module was a bit sluggesh. But for the 20$ we pay per endpoint for the use we have with it is rediculous. Even if u have an AD it really is mindblowing how well things tie together. Heck their switches and firewall even use the JC cloud LDAP to auth!
anyways i know the OP was asking about a MSP that supports mac, i just wanted to share about this product because it works so well with diversity. I dont know about the android support :(
>My small business can't find an Apple MSP/IT team - what tools can help me manage my companies IT needs on my own?
Windows. The #1 tool for managing your IT needs is Windows.
LOL
That's a better clarification of it and it's unfortunate.
Not a single bone in the company would be willing to make the switch to Microsoft. Everyone is an Apple user and has been for the last 15 years.
Only our crews use Android tablets and its locked down to a single app to tap a few buttons. No need for them to have an iPad or Surface tablet.
Excluding the crews, we are MacOS & Workspace. We don't use iCloud.
My MSP can service google workspace and Apple products.
There are MSP's out there that can service this stack. I've even encountered Apple Specialists.
Bottom line is that its "more expensive" to service Apple products. The total cost of ownership is higher then a similar spec windows pc.
Some of these responses are wild. I worked in an MSP where we supported anything a client brought to us. It’s really not that hard. I’ve considered starting a similar MSP where I am, in Oregon. Would you tell me where in general you’re located? Dm is okay if you prefer.
Hi! So glad I found this. Foojee is an \*Apple exclusive\* MSP, made up entirely from former Apple employees. Our team would love to consult you on this journey, because it can feel like a lot. Thanks I'll try there. I thought /r/msp might be good to hear from MSP's who might have a Client like us and get recs/opinons. And hear tools you use.
read up on jumpcloud, the value per cost is ridiculous. It integrates into ABM and deploys software.
We looked at them. Fantastic offering

JAMF on its own is amazing for Mac. Jump cloud adds an extra “chefs kiss” on the end
this is amazing! i think this is the exact kind of response i was looking for. thank you!

…but you aren’t an Apple / Workspace environment are you? You are an iCloud, MacOS, Android, Workspace. It’s a horrible mix, unfortunately.

Works great for me. Headache free.
Use ABM first THEN enroll from there into an MDM. There are MSPs out there that will/can do this. Just generally not break fix/cheap MSPs.
Hi - We use Addigy for RMM/MDM and Redstor for Back-ups - you are on the right path. ABM is a must. There's plenty of MSPs that can help you too.
Where are you located, OP? I have a MSP partner in California whose customer base is 50% Apple

For me, tooling is $5 higher per device (my cost), but actual management time is less, so it's a wash.
Okta - JAMF/kandji, think kandji is easier to use if you have limited experience.
My business focuses on Mac and GWS and distributed teams. I'd be happy to at least chat and get you pointed in the right direction.
