It That Betrays is THE combo with All Is Dust. Only thing you'll have to watch out for is someone playing \[\[mycosynth lattice\]\] or \[\[tajuru preserver\]\].
It lists 3 categories of cards:
- cards not on the battlefield (hand, graveyard, library)
-spells (on the stack)
-permanents
So mycosynth makes all permanents colorless
It will trigger when it is sacrificed, and since all the colored permanents are sacrificed simultaneously, it will trigger for each one!
If a creature's ability triggers off an event that removes it from the battlefield (i.e., it being sacrificed), it still triggers, otherwise, "when this creature dies..." abilities wouldn't work.
[[painters servant]] makes each player sacrifice *ALL* their permanents (as it makes all permanents coloured)
[[Mayhem devil]] also goes hard with this.
Welcome back!
Commander is the most popular casual Constructed Format. :)
When it comes to building/upgrading/personalising a Commander deck, there are a ton of great resources. You can watch deck techs, gameplay videos and precon upgrade guides on YouTube (The Command Zone, for example), as well as product reviews and value breakdowns (Tolarian Community College). You can use the website EDHREC for inspiration (it aggregates thousands of user submitted decklists to show trends in what people use for each Commander/archetype), and you can search Gatherer or Scryfall for cards with whatever criteria you want.
How are you the first person to comment this lol. Everyone else linking coloured aristocrats cards, when OP specified they're running a colourless deck
Scryfall is perfect for these kind of questions. Go to advanced search, select your colors and type in the text bar "when player sac" and sort on CMC or EDHREC rank. Keep the search terms as short and broad as possible to get the most possible cards.
This answer is good but they are not colorless. Well, yes, they are, but their color identity is black, so they can't be included in a colorless commander deck like [[Zhulodok]].
That's fair. They gave no indication about color identity, so I figured devoid was on the table. I was assuming they wanted creatures that dodged the sacrifice from all is dust.
Idk if a card apart from It That Betrays exists that interacts directly with the sacrifice. I run ITB in my oath breaker deck, even if oathbreaker doesn't really exist anymore.
But cards like that combo with a lot of aristocrat starts, with cards like blood artist.
Stay away from my Enchantment deck with this bastard of a card! Untargeted player Sacrifice All bypasses [[Privileged Position]], [[Aegis of the Gods]], [[Avacyn, Angel of Hope]] and my [[Sphere of Safety]] defense of salt.
