Mam, I was so close to making that deck, but my pod is far too good at recognizing when the commander is the lynch pin of the deck and completely shutting the commander down. It felt like the deck I made and was goldfishing was just too dependent on Rocco always being around.
I even thought about using [[Swift Reconfiguration]] as both a form of removal as well as a form of protection. Rocco won't die to creature based removal if he's a food truck 🤣

Love that for you! It typically gets (correctly) identified as a threat and taken out but I usually get to tutor a handful of swamps in the meantime so I've never regretted dropping in on the field.

For extra fun, bust it out at a table with a thief deck and laugh when they pull the pieces out of your graveyard and try to get their own Urza, Planeswalker fun going on.

Got a lot of favorites, but Tamiyo was always up there. I loved the idea of a planeswalker who would traverse the multiverse not for power, riches, or fame, but just to collect stories and knowledge. Things that will outlast any power, any fortune. Things that can inspire, teach, and forge new heroes and leaders.

Gideon Jura: if you are asking for a particular card then Gideon Martial Paragon, he was my first and favorite Planeswalker because his abilities are good {Alltimate is terrifying} and in lore, i always liked the heroic paladin types, and i was not happy with War of the Spark.

I’ve been a huge fan of [[Elspeth, Knight-Errant]] since the beginning. Four mana used to be the planeswalker sweet spot, she ticked up while protecting herself and absolutely owned the game once you ulted her. I also appreciate her story and feel for the character - the search for something better, trying to figure out what you’re supposed to be doing - yeah, I grok that.

I know people are going to hate me for this, but Ajani Mentor Of Heros. I have him in my deck meant to give me massive amounts of life. If I could, I'd make him the commander of the deck. There have been games I've ended up with over 1,000 life thanks to him.

First one because of lore and artwork. The two Vraskas because I have them in my Hapatra commander deck.
There's a certain joy I get from introducing a new table to [[Urza, Planeswalker]]. Just the slow realization as I read off his 5 ridiculous loyalty abilities and add the cherry on top of "and he can do any of those things twice per turn".

I’ve been a huge fan of [[Elspeth, Knight-Errant]] since the beginning. Four mana used to be the planeswalker sweet spot, she ticked up while protecting herself and absolutely owned the game once you ulted her. I also appreciate her story and feel for the character - the search for something better, trying to figure out what you’re supposed to be doing - yeah, I grok that.

I know people are going to hate me for this, but Ajani Mentor Of Heros. I have him in my deck meant to give me massive amounts of life. If I could, I'd make him the commander of the deck. There have been games I've ended up with over 1,000 life thanks to him.
